Following the loan exit of Aron Yaakobishvili earlier today, FC Barcelona have now announced the departure of another young talent from the club – Eman Kospo.
The young centre-back, who won the treble with the club's Juvenil A setup last season, has signed for Fiorentina.

'FC Barcelona and ACF Fiorentina have reached an agreement for the transfer of Eman Kospo. The club reserves a percentage of any future sale of the Swiss centre-back,' the club statement read.
'The Club wishes him much luck and success in the future, both personally and professionally.'
Kospo joined the Barcelona academy in the summer of 2023 from GC Zurich and was inserted into the Juvenil A setup directly.
As mentioned earlier, he was a key player for the team last season as they won the treble in the youth categories (Division de Honor, Copa del Rey, and UEFA Youth League) under Juliano Belletti.

The Swiss defender featured in 25 league matches, scoring three goals, while he also played in nine matches in the UEFA Youth League and five more in the Copa del Rey.
Barcelona will earn a small fee for Kospo, said to be around €500,000, while they retain a percentage of any future sale.
Touted as one of the most talented young defenders coming through at La Masia, letting him go seems a strange move by the Blaugrana.

Barcelona board clash over one player's possible sale

An internal debate has erupted behind the scenes at La Liga giants Barcelona, regarding the future of one member of Hansi Flick's squad. That's according to , who point towards Marc Casadó as the player in question. The name of midfielder Casadó has of course emerged as an altogether prominent one in the media headlines surrounding Barcelona over the last 24 hours. This comes after widespread reports were forthcoming, assuring that the 21-year-old has been made available for the right price this summer. Amid ongoing efforts to return to the 1:1 financial rule, Casadó has been identified as expendable, owing chiefly to the overbooking in the heart of Barca's midfield. As alluded to above, though, if ensuing word stemming from Spain on Sunday is anything to go by, then not all at the Camp Nou are in agreement regarding as much. As per a report from MD: 'There are some important voices within the club who wouldn't oppose Casadó leaving if a good offer comes in and he asks to leave. However, among the boardroom leadership, the player from Sant Pere de Vilamajor is highly regarded not only for his football, but also for his status as a Barça fan by birth.' Joan Laporta, for one, is understood to be keen for Casadó to stay put, a huge fan of the Spanish international's talents. Conor Laird – GSFN

Barcelona make final decision on Gerard Martin's future

Barcelona have made a clear decision regarding the future of Gerard Martin. As per an update from SPORT, the club has decided that the young defender will remain a part of the first-team squad for the 2025/26 season, unless something unexpected changes the plan. Martin, who had no previous top-level experience before joining the senior squad last summer, quickly became one of the biggest revelations under Hansi Flick. Coming straight from the First RFEF, his performances last season exceeded expectations. In Flick's first year in charge, the 23-year-old full-back showed remarkable development and became one of the most improved players in the squad. The turning point for Martin came when he started in two of the club's biggest matches – the Copa del Rey final against Real Madrid and the UEFA Champions League second leg at San Siro against Inter Milan. He was crucial in both games, delivering two impressive assists and showing maturity well beyond his years. Gerard Martin has Barcelona's backing Barcelona will not sell Gerard Martin. (Photo by) After recovering from a recent injury, Martin featured in both of Barcelona's pre-season games, including a role as a left-footed centre-back against FC Seoul. Despite interest from Premier League clubs, Barcelona have no intention of letting him go. In fact, the outlet reports that the decision to keep Martin is final, barring a dramatic change. It is to be noted that the battle for the left-back position will be intense in the upcoming season. Alejandro Balde remains the club's first-choice in that role, but Jofre Torrents, another rising talent from La Masia, is pushing hard to break into the senior team. The added competition will only raise the level within the squad. Even so, the coaching staff and the board have full faith in Martin. His growth, tactical versatility, and ability to perform in high-pressure games have convinced the club that he is worth keeping. For now, Barcelona have shut the door on a transfer, and he looks set to continue in Blaugrana colours.
