Rihanna Reveals Her Go-To Karaoke Song By This R&B Newcomer
Dressed in a sheer baby blue Chanel ensemble, a very pregnant Rih shared with Capital FM her current go-to karaoke song — naming Mariah The Scientist's 'Burning Blue' ballad.
The 37-year-old singer and business mogul paused for a moment, then smiled as she revealed her pick. 'Oh my gosh, it's, it's, it's … maybe 'Burning Blue' by Mariah the Scientist,' she shared with a laugh. The emotional ballad released in May as the lead single from Mariah's upcoming fourth studio album, and the track has already made waves at No. 38 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The premiere not only drew attention to Rihanna and her baby bump, but A$AP Rocky as well, who seemingly spilled the beans on their growing family.
During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Rocky hinted at the sex of their unborn child. When asked if the 'girl' he had been waiting for had arrived, the Harlemite smiled and gestured to a Smurfette toy, saying, 'It is, man, it is.' When Rihanna was asked the same question later, she played it coy, teasing, 'Let's see if it's a Smurfette! I don't know! Could be a Papa Smurf! Who knows!'
Both are already parents to two sons RZA, 3, and Riot, 1.
Rihanna also spoke on whether the baby's name would follow the family tradition and start with an R like her sons RZA and Riot, the 'Lift Me Up' singer confirmed: 'It's always going to be an R name — that's the one thing me and Rocky don't fight over.'

Texas A&M Announces LED lighting upgrade at Kyle Field ahead of football season
After years of discussion about adding new lights to Kyle Field, fans finally have an answer. On Thursday, Texas A&M Athletic Director Trev Alberts confirmed on the Studio 12 radio show that LED lights will be installed at Kyle Field, along with several other enhancements. With the evolving landscape of college athletics, Alberts emphasized the importance of making the game-day experience more innovative and exciting while preserving the rich traditions that make Aggieland unique. He recognizes the need for upgrades but wants to avoid turning the experience into a spectacle that distracts from the sport itself. 'Then, when you get all that kind of stuff done, you can have some fun with drone shows and you can do lots of different things and fireworks,' he said. 'I don't want to interrupt the football, because people come for football, but I think there are some other things we can integrate – whether it's after the game or between the third and fourth quarter – we can do different things. We're going to continue investing in the technology that brings the fan and game day experience to a level that stays at the leading front in college athletics.' Alberts confirmed that the LED lights will be introduced this year, in a way that aligns with the school's values: 'We're never going to move away from the traditions that make A&M, but how do we integrate new stuff, new experiences in a way that doesn't conflict with that, you know? So, you'll see LED lights this year.' While not everyone may be a fan of the move, it's great to see the University making efforts to turn the game day experience into a major event that can rival those of several other stadiums in the country. Rare flower that smells like rotten flesh to bloom in S.F. Spare your nose and watch the livestream
The San Francisco Conservatory of Flowers has launched a livestream of one of its famously stinky corpse flowers, allowing fans to watch the rare bloom without enduring its pungent smell. The plant, also known as titan arum or the amorphophallus titanum, is expected to unfurl within a week, according to an Instagram post from the historic Golden Gate Park greenhouse, which houses a total of five of the plants. Scientists have nicknamed this particular one Chanel. Chanel's livestream began Tuesday, July 1, on the Gardens of Golden Gate Park YouTube channel. It shows a birdseye view of the plant, which has been roped off, as visitors cycle through the space. Those who want to get a closer look, or take a whiff of the phallic-shaped plant once it blooms, can still visit the Conservatory of Flowers in person between 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Thursdays through Tuesdays. Titan arum is native to the rainforests of Sumatra, Indonesia, and is considered endangered by the International Union of the Conservation of Nature. It spends years cycling through dormancy and growth phases, during which it produces a giant leaf that can reach up to 15 feet tall. This process can occur multiple times over several years before the plant accumulates enough energy to bloom. Its bloom only lasts for about 24 to 48 hours During the first evening, its putrid odor, which has been compared to the smell of rotten flesh, releases to attract pollinators such as carrion flies and beetles. After the event, it can take between three to five years for the plant to bloom again. The Conservatory confirmed on Friday, June 27 that Chanel will bloom soon, distinguishable by the plant's tall central spike, called a spadix, poking out through its ruffly spathe leaves. Chanel last bloomed in 2022. Scarlet, another one of the Conservatory of Flowers' titan arums, bloomed in 2023, while the California Academy of Sciences ' corpse flower bloomed last year. Both were livestreamed.
