Love Island fans rattled over change to show ahead of 'messy' scenes
Love Island viewers were quick to notice a change to the start of Thursday's episode of the ITV2 dating series, and it left them convinced 'messy' scenes were on the way There was a shake-up to proceedings on Love Island on Thursday night, and it left fans rattled. They didn't know what to make of the change to the start of the episode, and if it meant good things ahead or bad. Viewers were left wanting answers, needing to know what "messy" scenes were on the cards amid a reported split. As the latest episode began amid spoilers hinting at carnage in the villa, viewers noticed there was no "tonight" preview. Normally, narrator Iain Stirling famously says "tonight" before we see clips expected to air later in the episode. There was none of that on Thursday ahead of The Grafties no doubt bringing chaos to the show. Noting the change-up, viewers were in meltdown as they demanded to know what was going on. One fan said: "They didn't even do a TONIGHT. About to be interesting." A second fan said: "They didn't show tonight's preview, why is that omg?" as a third said: "No tonight preview? That's how you know the ep is about to be so good or so bad." Another viewer said: "No 'tonight' preview, Yh this episode is going to be a mess." This was echoed by another fan who wrote: "No preview for this episode? Grafties gonna be messy." A further fan posted: "They didn't even have a tonight preview, s**t must be hitting the fan." Amid rumours of a split on the cards and past scenes set to be played into the villa, it's no doubt going to be drama-filled. It comes as viewers said they were "getting bored" of producers "trying to set up" contestant Shakira Khan, after another drama was set to kick off. Viewers have claimed for weeks that the producers "have something against" Shakira, and Toni, believing they are constantly being "set up" to look bad, or like "mean girls". Taking to social media one fan said: "The producers are really trying to make Shakira and Toni feel bad with the grafties. Can't stand what they're doing. Hope the girlies stay strong!" Another fan agreed: "The only reason the producers brought Meg back was in the hopes Connor would choose her and Shakira would be dumped from the island. Wtf is with this biased bs." A third fan said: "Producers. Can we stop with the anti Shakira agenda please." This was echoed by another fan who begged: "This year love island producers are weirddddd leave Shakira alone," as another said: "I mean the producers agenda against Shakira is getting boring now." A further comment claimed: "You can tell Shakira is going home in the upcoming days the producers are setting her up." Meanwhile one viewer posted: "The producers are trying to mess Shakira up and I don't like it and they are trying to make her out to be a villain and it's not right and bringing Megan back for what she a mean girl. Why can't they leave Shakira alone they are setting her up I don't like it." Viewers will have to tune in this week to see which moments win, and what the Islanders make of all the secret goings on. Amid another big dumping on the show, there's less than two weeks before the live final.

Another said they had lodged a complaint with Ofcom and said: 'Megan has been out of that villa for weeks and had the chance to read all of the public's opinions and it's so close to the end she's pretty much guaranteed a spot in the final.' Meanwhile, broadcaster ITV has reported a 44 per cent drop in half-year pre-tax profits to £99million, down from £178million last year. Advertising revenues have fallen by seven per cent. Viewers felt the show had been manipulated to make it appear Jack was going to cheat, when in fact he wasn't. And poor Dani didn't learn the truth for days. Maura fury: Although she later won over the public, Maura Higgins got off to a bad start in 2019. After arriving as a bombshell, she made a beeline for Tommy Fury - who was coupled up with Molly-Mae Hague - and tried to kiss him while straddling him on a daybed. 709 people accused her actions of being 'sexual harassment'. Faye explodes: The 2021 series of Love Island remains the most complained series about yet. 4,330 complaints were made to Ofcom after Faye Winter received a postcard from Casa Amor, which appeared to show her fella Teddy Soares kissing a bombshell. But a whopping 24,763 complaints flooded in when Faye came face-to-face with Teddy again. Faye's shocking outburst even sparked a reaction from male domestic abuse charity, ManKind Initiative, who branded her 'unacceptable'. Bish bash: The following year, the fallout from Movie Night sparked 3,617 Ofcom complaints. Fans of the show were horrified by Luca Bish's harsh reaction when Gemma Owen was shown speaking to bombshell Billy Brown. Muggy Mitch: Almost 1,000 Ofcom complaints flooded in from viewers unimpressed with Mitchel Taylor's treatment of Abi Moores. They felt he was 'targeting' her and even urged Love Island bosses to check on Abi's 'mental health and welfare'.
