I convinced my dad to buy Bose QuietComfort headphones — now they're $100 off for Father's Day
He placed an order that day, and now I look forward to visiting my parents not just to see them (although, that's the primary reason, of course), but also to use my dad's Bose QuietComfort headphones.
As outlined in our Bose QuietComfort headphones review, the cans are extremely impressive. On top of ANC so good that no other brand even comes close, the headphones sound excellent in every single genre. And now? You can save a massive $100 on Bose QuietComfort headphones.
The QuietComfort headphones are on sale in the following colors: black (pictured), dark blue, lilac, light blue, beige, and white. Green is the only color not on sale, which is a shame because it's actually gorgeous.
Price check: $249 @ Best Buy | $249 @ Walmart
I've personally used the Bose QuietComfort headphones, and I can admit that $349 is expensive for what you get. However, with $100 off, these headphones are competitively priced.
Considering that most excellent Bluetooth headphones hover around $400 these days (what has the world come to?), $249 is about as low as you're going to get for Bose.
What makes Bose gear so good is its ANC. My colleague Nikita described Bose's ANC better than anyone else: it's so good you feel lonely.
Thankfully, when music sounds this good you can overlook the fact you're the only one listening. The QuietComfort headphones are bass-driven, with loud, groovy thumps across most genres. I'd recommend these headphones for serious bass lovers, or if you listen to genres like rock, hip-hop, or house. While I've never thought the QuietComfort headphones sound anything but fantastic, they genuinely excel with bassy tracks.
However, you can also adjust and create custom EQs with the Bose Music app, should you want a little less bass in your listening.
The Bose QuietComfort headphones come recommended for a reason, and at just $249, they're an absolute steal. I convinced my dad to buy these and he loves them, but now I wish I'd bought them for Father's Day instead!

Tom's Guide Awards 2025: Our favorite headphones, earbuds, Bluetooth speakers and more
Regardless of whether you're looking for a good pair of noise-cancelling headphones, a soundbar to boost the sound from your TV or even a Bluetooth speaker to kick things off at your next party, the right audio gear can make all the difference when it comes to listening to your favorite music. From wireless earbuds to audiophile headphones, we're constantly on the lookout for new audio gear that will elevate the listening experience while bringing our favorite tunes and content to life. Our team of experts has tested and reviewed all of the latest earbuds, headphones, soundbars and speakers for the Tom's Guide Awards 2025. Below, we highlight the headphones we just can't put down, the speakers we can't help but turn up and the rest of our favorite audio gear from the last 12 months which have brought music to our ears in the best way possible. Bowers & Wilkins has always come close to the Bose and Sony alternatives with its headphones, but there's always been something holding it back. A bulky design, less impressive noise canceling and feature sets. That all changed with the PX7 S3, a pair of headphones that manage to do everything very well, and one thing better than absolutely everything else. The first thing they get right is the design. They're slimmer than previous models, but retain their premium look and feel. There are loads of different textures on display, from the fabric covering the and metal covering the earcups to the soft leatherette that's on the cushioning. They're much more premium looking and feeling than the competition, all the way down to their hard case. ANC is good, bringing them up to par with Sony and just behind Bose. The feature set is improved with customizable EQ, and more are on the way in 2025. It's the sound where the PX7 really shine, however. They are some of the best-sounding wireless headphones around, with a lovely, warm profile. There's detail for days, mids for miles, and bass that wraps all around the world for a sound signature that makes you want to sink into your favorite wingback with a nice drink. I love them. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. When the Sony WH-1000XM6 were announced, we thought we'd be onto a winner in some regard. The XM6 delivered in one key area — noise canceling. This year, we've not had a huge number of big releases, but this pair from Sony has taken the cake when it comes to ANC. That's thanks to some key upgrades over the XM5, mostly in its microphone array. There are now 12 mics as opposed to the XM5's 8 microphones, and when coupled with a new algorithm, the results are extremely impressive. They're better at handling a wider range of noise than the previous model, and they now read the environment on the fly to work out the kind of noise canceling that you require. It works very well, and it's the reason that they've taken home this award this year. Noble started out making wired earbuds for audiophiles, and then moved into the wireless game afterward. The brands other wireless buds have gotten close to being immaculate, but they've always been held back by their price. Now, with the Amadeus, we've got buds that aren't uncomfortably priced but bring some excellent sound and ANC to the table. It's all down to the tips this time around. While the core ANC is good, the flanged tips in the box effectively work like earplugs, increasing the noise canceling from merely good to actually top notch. Add in their good battery life and their game-changing sound, and you've got a pair of buds that do a spectacular job at making a very attractive alternative to the similarly priced competition. There have been some excellent earbuds that have launched this year, but they all pale in comparison to the bargain that is the Sony WF-C710N. They're not cheap, per se, but they are affordable, while still offering flagship sound, ANC and an excellent feature set. They're easily our favorite earbuds of 2025 as a result. The best bit? The transparent blue colorway. There's nothing that comes close in the color department, and it helps set them apart physically from other buds that cost around the same. Not that they need to, there's plenty inside to set them apart. The sound is up there with models that cost double, the ANC is on par with the more expensive Bose QuietComfort Earbuds, and the battery life of 8.5 hours is going to last you plenty. They might not be the most premium, but they're the pair of buds to buy in 2025. This is always a tricky one for me, given that audiophile headphones become something of a 'do these sound better, or different' case. But there's one pair of premium, audiophile headphones that have stood out to me as the best thing of the year. The extremely expensive, but also extremely good, Final D8000 DC have taken the audiophile effortlessly detailed, but pack in some truly incredible bass depth to match. They sing when you give them ample amplification, and connect them to a decent DAC and you're in sonic heaven. I've tested some very expensive headphones already, and yet still, the DC8000 made me cry with some of the most impressive sonic imaging I've ever experienced. It's all wrapped up in a simple but attractive design. I really like the audio scaffolding vibes, but my favorite thing is the ballistic briefcase with locks and keys they come packed in. The whole thing feels and sounds amazing — just get your checkbook ready. Marshall made a soundbar — and it's excellent! The Heston 120 might not have the expandability of the likes of the Arc Ultra, but it more than makes up for it in sheer sonic weight and musicality. There's more bass on offer in the bar itself than pretty much any other soundbar that I've tested, and it lends the bar a more 'standalone' feel. You won't need a subwoofer for medium rooms thanks to the pair of built in drivers, and then the Dolby Atmos performance more than holds its own. Music is where it's at, though, with some excellent stereo separation. It sounds better than any other soundbar for music, and that makes it more a jack of all trades than the competition. It also happens to look really cool — Marshall's first soundbar is a massive success. Marshall is back again this year. The consumer audio division of one of Britain's most well-known amplifier makers just keeps going from strength to strength, and the Marshall Kilburn III is perhaps the best Bluetooth speaker that I've seen for some time — and it's topped our list. It takes home this award because it sounds so good. There's incredible bass here, but it doesn't overtake the rest of the music. The mids are wide, the highs clear. There's little more we could ask for. Mix in helpful placement tuning and some very clever Bluetooth connection modes, and you've a recipe for delicious it in a retro amp-like design that conjures images of the poast and you've a 3-course meal from a Michelin-star restaurant. Or a massive burger from your favorite ma and pa place — either way, the Kilburn III is an excellent Bluetooth speaker that outperforms the competition with epic battery life and stunning sound. I test Bluetooth speakers for a living — here are my top picks for every budget
I love a Bluetooth speaker. They allow me to take my music on the go, so that I can annoy everyone around me with my... interesting... music taste. Of course, when it comes time to shop for one, it can be a little confusing. You could just buy one of the best Bluetooth speakers from our guide, but those can be costly. To help you stick to your savings goals, I've laid out some budgets, and picked one of our favorites in each tier so you can get the best performance without spending more than you should. The WonderBoom 4 brings some great features to small package. Not only does it look unique with its funky, rounded shape, but it sounds pretty good as well thanks to some clever audio trickery. The shape and the way that the driver inside is situated means that you can hear the sound no matter where you are around the device. The battery life is pretty good as well, giving you 14 hours of life so that you can take the lil' guy on the road. It's also nice and cheap, crucially coming in at that sub-$100 price point. Even better? You'll often find it for even less thanks to some fairly permanent deals I've seen at Amazon and other retailers. With its small size and useful strap, this little speaker is easy to hang off a hiking backpack when you go off for a long walk. It sounds pretty good for the size as well, and its 14 hour-battery is going to last you a long time. Marshall's Willen II is a pocket powerhouse. It's no bigger than your hand, and it'll easily fit into a cargo pants pocket, and then blow you away with sound you might expect from something much, much larger. I mean, just look at it — how cute! Then BAM, rock n' roll baby, and spades of it. Of course, it's not going to hold a candle to some of the larger and more expensive speakers on the list, but I'm consistently impressed by the Willen II's sound signature. There's a surprising amount of bass on offer from the tiny speaker, and the mids and highs are very well represented. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. Add in the wonderful little brass control clicker from Marshall's headphones and 17 hours of battery life, and you've the recipe for a little Bluetooth powerhouse. The Willen II is a tiny powerhouse of a speaker that packs quality sound and good battery life into a compact package. It'll last for 17 hours, which is longer than some of the larger competitors. This little speaker is well worth the pickup. If you want something that's not too expensive but will power pool parties all summer long, then the JBL Charge 6 might just be Bluetooth speaker for you. There's a 28 hour battery on board to keep the speaker going, and you can use the USB port on the back of the speaker to charge your phone. That's why it's called the 'Charge.' The sound is big and loud too, thanks to its 'AI sound boost' feature. I found that the speaker sounded its very best just before you hit the upper volume ceiling, so you likely won't want to crank the noise all the way to the top. It is loads of fun watching the passive bass radiators wiggle on the sides, though. The JBL Charge 6 is a great speaker with plenty of battery life and some great sound quality. 28 hours of staying power means the tunes will keep on coming. The color options are wicked too, letting you really show off (or blend in) as much as you want. The EpicBoom lives up to its name — it's a big sounding speaker with massive impact. It also floats, so you won't have to worry about it taking a terrible tumble into the pool. It's designed from the ground up to be durable piece of tech, with IP67 dust and water resistance keeping it safe no matter where it finds itself. The strap on the back, held in place with magnets, also makes the speaker easier to cart around from party to the beach and back — just make sure you don't forget it while it's floating in the pool. It can swim, but you don't want to leave it in there too long. The EpicBoom is cool because it can float, making it a good companion for the pool or beach. There are 17 hours of battery life as well, so it'll last a long time. The sound is big and loud as well, perfect for keeping the party going. I am a sucker for Marshall's design language, and the Kilburn III distills it into a package that looks like a practice amp. A practice amp it is not, however. Instead, it's one of the best Bluetooth speakers I've ever tested with excellent sound quality, a wicked retro style and some truly ridiculous battery life — 50 hours at mid volume, I discovered. I love the Kilburn III so much that it's now going to take center stage in the best Bluetooth speakers guide — if that doesn't show how much I love it, I don't know what will. Marrying it? Not entirely sure where I'd put the ring... The Marshall Kilburn III brings rock n' roll style to match some super impressive sound quality. There's a mad 50 hours of battery life available, matched with some of the best controls on any Bluetooth speaker, like, ever. The Sonos Move 2 still has a permanent home on my nightstand, waking me up every morning with my favorite tunes. I love the speaker and its epic sound quality, but it's the little things that Sonos have packed in which keep it a permanent part of my life: the easy-to-use charging cradle, the Sonos app support, the helpful controls across the top. It's not a cheap Bluetooth speaker, but you absolutely get what you pay for if you add one to your audio arsenal. I love mine, and I think that anyone else that buys one will too — just remember that it's weightier than the other entries on this list and it's not a good pick for the hike you've got coming up this weekend. The Sonos Move 2 is Sonos' portable option, but it packs in some smarts to make sure it fits in with the rest of the line. It sounds excellent, has great battery, and looks great with its simple design. Follow Tom's Guide on Google News to get our up-to-date news, how-tos, and reviews in your feeds.
