Subway rival reveals latest move to steal away customers with it's 'ultimate temptation' menu
Jimmy John's is heating up summer with a new limited-time sandwich lineup — and an unexpected side of steamy storytelling.
The popular Subway rival launched the items today as part of its Summer Menu of Ultimate Temptation, also known as SMUT.
SMUT consists of four sandwiches: Spicy East Coast Italian, Beach Club, Ultimate Porker, and the Kickin' Ranch Chicken Wrap.
Any customer who purchases these items with the promo code BEACHREAD can gain access to 'The Blade and the Brine,' an audiobook narrated by The White Lotus star Walton Goggins.
Goggins described the book as a beach read with drama, desire, and 'a little danger' and admitted that recording it got 'pretty steamy.'
Guests who order between today and June 29 will unlock the first part of the audiobook, and customers who order on July 1 through 6 will unlock part 2.
Parts 1 and 2 of the audiobook will be delivered to customers via email on July 1 and July 8.
Besides these seductive sandwiches, Jimmy John's is celebrating summer with its newly released Lemon Sunshine Cookie.
Fans interested in trying Jimmy John's latest Italian creation will eat some spicy enough to satisfy one's 'favorite plot twist.'
The spicy offering includes hand-sliced salami and capocollo, provolone cheese, oil and vinegar, onion, lettuce, tomato, mayo and hot Jimmy Peppers.
Beach Club is the sandwich that can satisfy any customer looking to read on a beautiful sunny day.
The item is made up of turkey breast, provolone cheese, avocado spread, cucumber, lettuce, tomato, and mayo.
The Ultimate Porker is suitable for any pork enthusiast, and can be toasted.
The meaty sandwich comes with smoked ham, applewood smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayo.
The only wrap on the SMUT menu is the 'saucy pick' for customers interested in kickin' it for the summer season.
This wrap features chicken, provolone cheese, onions, lettuce, tomato, Jimmy Peppers, and ranch.
Jimmy John's has become a top competitor against Subway, the largest US sandwich chain that closed over 1,645 locations in the past two years.
Operating over 2,600 locations, Jimmy John's is currently the nation's largest owned delivery sandwich brand.
It's also created fun ideas for its marketing campaigns and recruited Jersey Shore cast member Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi last year to help launch its 'Picklewich.'
As of now, the chain regularly earns over $2 billion in annual revenue and is working on continuing its global expansion.

John Travolta transforms into Grease character Danny Zuko for sing-along event
John Travolta gave fans the 'chills' when he made a surprise appearance at a Grease sing-along in Los Angeles on Friday night. The actor, 71, stepped back in time to reprise his role as Danny Zuko from the 1978 hit musical. She shared on social media: 'Tonight at the Hollywood Bowl, for the first time I surprised everyone at the Grease sing-along and dressed up as Danny Zuko.' Go, greased lightnin': He reprised his role as Danny Zuko from the 1978 hit musical He added: 'No one knew. Not even the cast. Thank you for a great evening.' He adopted his character's swagger as he stepped on stage wearing dark jeans, a tight black T-shirt, and a black leather jacket. The actor, who has been sporting a shaved head, wore a wig styled into a greaser-friendly ducktail, along with a scruffy beard. He then joined Grease cast members Didi Conn, Barry Pearl, Michael Tucci, Kelly Ward, and director Randal Kleiser on stage. Taking the microphone, Travolta delivered some of his iconic lines from the moment Danny reunites with his Summer Nights sweetheart Sandy (played by the late Olivia Newton-John) on the first day of school at Rydell High. 'I thought you were going back to Australia!' and then remembering he was the big man on campus, dropped into the nonchalant, 'that's cool, that's cool, that's cool baby,' I'm rockin' and rollin' and whatnot.' He then led the cast and audience in a chant of 'A-wop-bop-a-loo-bop-a-lop-bam-boom!' Standing in front of a big screen, he then told the crowd, 'Enjoy the show. We love you!'

Soccer culture clash at Club World Cup as American woman reports Argentine fans to cops over 'throwing beer and shoving' - but they say SHE was wrong
A clash of cultures erupted at Seattle's Lumen Field during the Club World Cup as an American woman reported a group of Argentine fans to stadium staff and police. The tensions occurred during Inter Milan 's 2-0 victory over River Plate earlier in the week - a match that was heated on the pitch as well, with the Buenos Aires side receiving two red cards and six booking issued in total. The woman described being surrounded by River fans who refused to respect assigned seating and crowded into her section in raucous fashion. She explained on social media that the situation turned physical when she confronted the fans, claiming they threw beer on her and shoved her boyfriend away. She called security, and eventually local police arrived to intervene. The woman could be heard screaming in a video uploaded on TikTok: 'This is our seat, we paid for the seat.' One of the River fans responded: 'We paid too,' before the American woman demanded they showed their tickets. @_jung_kook_wifey We approach them with our tickets in our hand and they're like 'there's no assigned seats' like we don't go to almost every Sounder game and know the drill. They got aggressive real quick throwing beer and shoving my bf and pulling my hair. #ClubWorldCup ♬ original sound - lou ❀𓇼𓏲☘︎ River Plate fans ignored ticket allocations and sat in her set, leading to a heated confrontation The woman alleged that beer was thrown on her hair and that her boyfriend was shoved away The River fan then said: 'You can sit anywhere, it doesn't matter [about] your ticket,' much to the woman's frustration, who insisted again: 'It does. This is our seat, we paid for the seat.' In South American football culture, supporters often cluster together and ignore seat assignments on their tickets. The woman recognised this, but argued that these norms do not override the fact she paid for a specific seat. She wrote on TikTok: 'I can support futbol culture but that does not mean disregarding the stadium's rules or jurisdiction. 'This was not a general admission event! Otherwise, tickets would have been priced THE SAME. 'Choosing to ignore assigned seating - and worse, attempting to physically intimidate or assault others out of their PAID spaces - is not only entitled, it's unlawful. 'You cannot assault your way into getting what you want just because you are not 'used to the customs set in place.' However, many fans under the woman's video did not extend any sympathy, arguing she should have been prepared for a culture clash before buying her tickets. The woman went on to accuse one fan of swearing and smoking a cigarette in the ground One fan commented: 'In South America your ticket gets you into the stands and no seat allocation as no one sits down anyway. The seats are a free for fall, if you come late. You lose out. So happy Americans are getting a taste of real football.' Another wrote: 'That's how it works in ultras sector. You should know that before you buy tickets.' A third said: 'To be fair in South America and many countries, seat allocations don't matter. You sit where there's space.' The woman shared more details of the incident in another slideshow on TikTok, where she went on to reveal that one man was also swearing at her and smoking a cigarette in the ground.

Michelle Obama shares powerful life lesson her dying mother taught her
Michelle Obama reveals what her dying mother told her which changed her outlook on life. The former first lady appeared on NPR 's 'Wild Card' podcast with Rachel Martin on Thursday (26 June) where she shared her mother's comments about the fleeting nature of time. 'She leaned over to me and said, 'Wow, this went fast'', Ms Obama recalled, saying that she was shocked as her mother 'was the woman that prepared me for death'. "And what that told me is even when you tell yourself you're ready, if you're living a good life, you're never really ready for it to end,' she said. 'So I hope I feel that way. Even though I've been ready for it, because it's been good and purposeful. That I'll feel like, 'I wish I had more time.' So I'm trying to live my life like that." Ms Obama's mother, Marian Robinson, died at age 86 in May 2024.
