Dressed in the dark? Controversial influencer dons Gen Z 'maximalist' trend at Australian Fashion Week with two dresses layered on top of each other - after showing up in wedding gown held up by four assistants

Daily Mail13-05-2025
Jamie Azzopardi never misses the opportunity to stand out at Australian Fashion Week.
The controversial influencer, 27, sported not one, but two different dresses layered over each other at the second day of the A-list event.
Azzopardi, who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, draped a golden satin gown over a long sleeved white shirt for the unusual look.
On top of that, Jamie added another satin dress, this time in pearl white and with a feathered bodice.
Not skimping on accessories, Jamie had on pearl details at the cuffs and neckline of the shirt, as well as white heels and sunglasses, while carrying a feathered purse.
Later that evening, Jamie was back for more shows in an entirely new look - a 1920s style tasselled frock in a chic dark brown with matching high heels.
The internet star's look exemplifies the 'maximalist' trend popular with Gen Z fashionistas, particularly on TikTok, which involves layering lots of mismatched items and accessories at once for a deliberate 'dressed in the dark' look.
Jamie made a much anticipated return to Australian Fashion week on Monday.
The star has once again become the talk of the town after making a typically grand entrance at the 2025 event in Sydney on Monday.
The social media sensation wore a bold white gown which resembled a wedding dress - and had four assistants in tow.
The women held up Azzopardi's voluminous frock which featured a long, flowing train.
Azzopardi recruited four minders to hold up the elaborate frock which featured a ruffled neckline and sheer panels with pearl details.
The dress was belted at the waist and also featured layers of tulle around a beaded bodice.
Jamie wore a pair of sunglasses which had matching pearls and included a long pair of black boots.
It comes after Azzopardi arrived at Australian Fashion Week last year in an elaborate Edwardian-style outfit - before hitting back at their critics.
Azzopardi made an outrageous arrival at Carriageworks in Sydney flanked by an entourage of minders, to which Married At First Sight star Carolina Santos couldn't resist commenting on social media.
'What the f*** is that? Does Jamie think [they] are at the Met Gala or something? Why are people holding [their] clothes?' she said at the time.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Mail Australia at the event last year, Jamie clapped back at Carolina's comment.
'Carolina, I do have a question because you have a lot to say about me: I just want to know, what do you know about the Met Gala?'
Jamie turned plenty of heads with their outfit, which consisted of a baby blue ruffled coat with a deep, plunging neckline.
The stylist paired the statement garment with a long black skirt and towering high heels.
Eyewitnesses described Azzopardi's arrival at Fashion Week 2024 as nothing short of a performance.
Dressed in a detailed gown which featured layers of fine fabric and intricate embellishments, the stylist made sure all eyes were on them.
Azzopardi's 'minders' were seen constantly adjusting every detail of their attire.
They were busy ensuring that not a single fold was out of place as photographers snapped away while Jamie posed up a storm.
Australian Fashion Week has gone from one of the country's most prestigious events to one flanked by reality stars, wannabes and micro-influencers.
Industry insiders have told Daily Mail Australia last year that designers are taking caution and want nothing to do with 'fame hungry MAFS stars desperate to be seen at fashion week'.

Georgia Love replaces her ex Lee Elliott with a new man as she displays new home setup… amid his romance rumours with Carrie Bickmore

Georgia Love has been leaning on her nearest and dearest for support following her recent split from her husband Lee Elliott. And on Sunday, the 35-year-old revealed she has even replaced a photo of herself and Lee in her home with a picture of her male best friend. The Bachelorette star took to her Instagram on Sunday to reveal her new home setup, which included a photo with her friend Abir Ahmed. The image, taken at her real-life bachelorette party back in 2021, showed the pair smiling for the camera in a warm embrace. She also has a candle with the quote 'love is all you need' and a mug with the words 'wait for it' on the desk alongside a large plant. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. It comes after Georgia's ex Lee sparked rumours he has been enjoying a romance with Carrie Bickmore. According to Woman's Day, the radio host and the former Bachelorette star have been spending a lot of time together at Carrie's home in recent weeks. The publication claims the pair were introduced by mutual friends and the relationship is 'heating up quickly'. 'They've been trying hard to keep things under wraps. But there's definitely something romantic going on. They're a beautiful couple!' a source told the magazine. Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Carrie Bickmore and Lee Elliott for comment. Lee and Georgia, who first met on the 2016 season of The Bachelorette, announced their separation with identical posts to Instagram in May. 'After nine wonderful years together, including four as husband and wife, [we] have made the incredibly difficult decision to lovingly part ways,' they wrote. 'Our relationship has been so special and we will always cherish the memories, love, and laughter we've shared. 'There is no drama, no bad blood. Just two people who have grown in different directions while still holding deep respect and care for each other. 'We remain friends and we'd really appreciate our privacy as we navigate this next stage. Thank you.' Georgia and Lee had fuelled rumours they had split for some time, after having not been seen together for four months and ditching their wedding rings. Carrie, meanwhile, has long been linked to her Carrie & Tommy radio show co-star, Tommy Little. While they have never confirmed that they are a couple, fans continue to speculate about the true nature of their relationship.

Fans furious after Osher Günsberg's fiery Dancing With The Stars meltdown: 'Check your ego'

Osher Günsberg dramatically clashed with the Dancing With The Stars judges on Sunday night after he received harsh criticism over his tango, which saw him sent home. Now, fans are taking to the social sphere to slam the Australian TV host's behaviour on screen, as well as his ability to dance. 'WTF was that attitude from Osher? The judges are there to give you constructive criticism, you think you danced amazingly and you just didn't, mate. Check your ego bro,' one viewer wrote on X, formerly Twitter. Another similarly chimed in: 'Osher is kinda annoying stop fighting with the judges.' One person saw his outburst as a sure nail in the coffin of his DWTS journey: 'Well, I guess Osher's a goner tonight, unless the audience take great pity on him.' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Other fans of the show pointed out that Osher was never good enough on the dance floor to warrant his behaviour. 'Thank goodness Osher's out. He was voted to stay the first couple of weeks due to his popularity, but the man can't dance,' one person penned. Another added: 'Osher seems to have trouble accepting reality, he's just a bad dancer.' However, there were a few fans of The Bachelor host who raced to his defence. 'I don't think Osher has ever said he could dance. He is giving it a go and Craig is just downright rude,' one person levelled. Another person wrote: 'Poor Osher, he's trying so hard but he's just not good.' The fan favourite was shown the exit door during a heated episode of Dancing With the Stars on Sunday. Taking to the ballroom with a Tango routine backed by David Bowie 's 1980 hit Fashion, the TV host put in a feverish performance that failed to impress the judges. One person saw his outburst as a sure nail in the coffin of his DWTS journey. But there were a few fans of The Bachelor host who raced to his defence Taking his cue from the evening's 'Kings and Queens of song' theme, judge Craig Revel Horwood did not mince words when delivering his verdict. 'Well, that was a right royal mess! I don't know what that step was, coming down the ramp, darling, but it was fumbled...' Craig began, but a furious Osher interrupted. Visibly annoyed, Osher snapped, 'Would you like to try going down that Perspex ramp in those heels, sir? You're more than welcome to show me.' He continued to rage: 'But I need you to be doing it in a tango step while the person next to you is on one foot kicking, and you're holding their momentum against you. After you!' Craig seemed taken aback by the fiery exchange, replying to a fuming Osher, 'That is not my job.' He then continued on with his critique despite the tense atmosphere, which had host Sonia Kruger visibly shocked. 'It was completely erratic,' Craig said, after dismissing Osher's remarks. Craig told the frustrated TV personality, 'You were making mistakes left, right and centre.' Fellow judge Mark Wilson did offer Osher some words of encouragement, telling him that he admired his determination to improve his dancing skills. However, the final score was a dismal 15 points, and Osher was sent home.

Eva Longoria shows off her jaw-dropping figure in a glamorous white cut out gown as she attends the Global Gift Gala in Marbella

Eva Longoria looked sensational in a stylish white cut out gown as she attended the Global Gift Gala at Hotel Don Pepe Gran Meliá in Marbella on Sunday. The actress, 50, made sure to turn heads in the eye catching halterneck floor-length number which boasted a cut out flashing her toned abs. Eva elevated her frame in a pair of towering heels and accessorised with a pair of chic star drop earrings. The Desperate Housewives star flashed her gorgeous smile as she chatted with pals at the glamorous event. In May the actress, who shares son Santiago, seven, with husband José Antonio, said she always thought she'd become a success in Hollywood. Eva has enjoyed a hugely successful career, starring in shows such as Only Murders in the Building, and Eva has now revealed that she never doubted her own talent. The actress told Byrdie: 'When I look at the longevity I've had in this industry, it makes sense to me'. 'Of course, I'm going to work as hard as I can at whatever I do, and it just happens to be in this industry. I knew I'd be successful because I was surrounded by successful women - my mother, sisters, and aunts were independent, strong, smart, and charitable. 'They were everything I wanted to be.' Eva's self-belief has helped her to navigate the pitfalls of Hollywood. She explained: 'I remember the first time I was on a billboard and somebody said to me, "Oh my god, who would have thought?" 'And I said, "Me. I thought it. I dreamt it." If you don't champion yourself, who else is going to? That unwavering belief in yourself will take you so far.' Despite this, Eva admits that her priorities have changed in recent years. The brunette beauty shared: 'When you're young, you should say yes to every opportunity, so you can decide what you want to do in life. 'Now that I'm 50, I'm prioritizing differently,' explained the close friend of ER star George Clooney. 'I'm curating my life to be very specific to what I want the next 50 years to look like. I'm spending more time with my family, working less, and doing more of what I love. 'Being financially secure helps with those decisions, but I feel I've worked hard enough to say 'no' now.' Eva has also confessed to becoming more health-conscious in recent years. The actress said: 'I don't mind ageing. I just want to age well. I'm grateful to be able to move my body and work out, hike up a mountain, and play with my son. I'm trying to be as mobile as possible for as long as possible.' This comes after the mother-of-one shared her top three diet hacks last year. Eva's three diet tips are intermittent fasting, clean eating, and moderation. She follows a 16:8 fasting window (eating between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.) and focuses on protein, leafy greens, healthy fats, and complex carbohydrates The star also avoids processed carbs, sugar, and fried foods, particularly during the early postpartum stage. She generally eats within an eight-hour window, typically between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m., according to Women's Health.
