TXT joins KPop Demon Hunters craze with Saja Boys-style Eternally dance practice video, fans hail them as 'genius'

KPop Demon Hunters is currently one of the most buzzed-about OTT movies. It is ranking among the top 5 most-watched films on Netflix in multiple countries, and its soundtracks are dominating global charts. Capitalizing on this, fourth-generation K-pop group TXT strategically released their 2022 dance practice video for Eternally with a rebranded title, cleverly timing the launch to ride the wave of popularity.
TXT released their previously-shelved Eternally dance practice video
The special dual-mood dance practice video of TOMORROW X TOGETHER 's song Eternally was supposed to be released in 2022. However, later, the uploading plan was cancelled to showcase their respect for the victims of the Itaewon Halloween tragedy. Recently, on June 26, the boy band grabbed the opportunity of finally releasing it, and wittily rebranded the title from Halloween version to KPop Demon Hunters version.
Fans praised TXT's team's smart move to release the previously-shelved video at an opportune moment. It showed their marketing prowess and knowledge of trends. Fans hailed the timely and savvy move as "genius".

TXT's Eternally's parallels to KPop Demon Hunters
In the video, the members of TXT are seen donning hats and hanboks, seamlessly transitioning between portraying good and evil personas, a dynamic that bears a striking resemblance to The Saja Boys from the animated Netflix film K-pop Demon Hunters. For those who may not be familiar with the film, The Saja Boys are a pivotal part of the storyline, comprising a fictional five-member boy band that captivates audiences with their music.
TXT's recent release draws notable parallels with the dark-themed Your Idol performance of the film. It highlights the central theme of the movie, which revolves around the quintet's complex dual lives as K-pop idols and soul-devouring demons.
Besides this, another interesting connection between TXT and the Saja Boys is that the former was "one of the main groups used as reference for saja boys and yeonjun was the reference and inspiration for the member, romance." Romance's pink hair particularly reminds up of Yeonjun's Blue Hour era.

Because HYBE, the entertainment company behind top-tier groups like BTS, TXT and ENHYPEN, plans to launch an Indian subsidiary sometime within a few months. The exciting development was reported by K-media outlet Star News on June 30. New HYBE office in Mumbai, India HYBE, one among South Korea's 'Big 4' entertainment companies, revealed that it has initiated comprehensive market research in India. The company is currently navigating the necessary legal procedures to establish a fully functional Indian branch. Plans are underway to officially launch the entity by September or October of this year. This step is part of Chairman Bang Si Hyuk 's "multi-home, multi-genre" strategy, which aims to capture key positions in international markets, including India. 'Squid Game' creator says VIPs in show resemble Elon Musk: ‘Everybody talks about him'

The modern drama Squid Game continues to mirror real-world dynamics as it wraps up its run with an engaging third season. Hwang Dong-hyuk , the creator of the series, recently called attention to the way that the show's wealthy VIP characters mirror contemporary power structures, using one notable individual in particular. 'Elon Musk is everywhere these days, right?" In a recent interview with Time, Hwang said, "Everybody talks about him." He is a showman in addition to being the leader of a massive tech company that virtually controls the world. Naturally, I thought, "Oh, some of the VIPs do kind of resemble Elon Musk " after finishing Season 3 . He continued. The VIPs in Squid Game are wealthy English-speaking spectators who like to watch violent life-or-death games take place while hiding behind elaborate masks. Although their presence has always been concerning, they assume an even more sinister role in the show's last chapter. Hwang clarified, 'They take their masks off and go into the game and kill others with their own hands.' He pointed out that their change from passive observers to active participants reflects a change in the way power is exercised in the real world. 'In the past, those that really controlled the system and maintained power, they were hidden behind the curtain, almost like this big unseen conspiracy. However, it's no longer the case, especially in America,' he stated. "We talk a lot about oligarchy these days, but these so-called big tech owners, they step up, telling everyone who they're backing with their money," he added. Hwang claims that influential people today don't hide their influence. 'The people who really control the power and the system, they no longer hide behind a curtain. They willingly take their masks off, almost as if to declare, 'We're the ones running everything. We're the ones in control',' he continued. The Squid Game universe might be growing in the meantime. Deadline has learned from a number of sources that Netflix is working with renowned director David Fincher on a new English-language spinoff. Speculation has been going on for months, but official confirmation is still pending. According to insiders, unless he takes on a feature film in the interim, this project might be David's main priority in 2025.

Birthing scene from Netflix's Squid Game season 3 leaves the internet baffled, calling it ‘misogynistic propaganda'

The South Korean web series Squid Game, which enthralled viewers with its concept when it first premiered on Netflix in 2021, has ended after three seasons. The final season, which premiered on 27 June, left the internet baffled over the way a birthing scene involving Kim Jun Hee, aka Player 222 (Jo Yuri), was handled. Some even think it had 'misogynistic' or 'propaganda' undertones. *Spoilers ahead* Jo Yuri plays Kim Jun Hee, aka Player 222, in the third season of Squid Game. The second season showed how Player 222 decided to take part in the Squid Game despite being heavily pregnant. In episode 2 of season 3, she gives birth in the middle of a highly tense game with the help of Jang Gerum Ja, aka Player 149 (Kang Ae Sim). Not only does she give birth quickly in the middle of a game, but she even walks a few minutes after that. People on the internet wondered if the male creator, writer, and director of the show, Hwang Dong-hyuk, was aware of how childbirth works. Numerous frustrated people on X (formerly Twitter) made posts on the ridiculousness of it all. One person wrote, 'even outside of the other baby plot issues it was so strange to me how junhees water broke out of nowhere with no buildup to it and she literally WALKED OFF childbirth ??? like her broken ankle impacted her more than giving birth with no real medical care bow does that work.' Another ridiculed the plot points of Squid Game, 'Squid game 3 was realistic. Gihun made it to the final games twice. Junhee gave birth in less than 15 minutes, no bleeding, nothing, but her broken ankle was treated as more painful than childbirth. The baby didn't have diapers and was fed twice but still survived.' One even shared a meme, writing, 'player 222 gave birth to her first child in less than 10 min, when actually first labour lasts maaaaaany hours.' A fan of the show even questioned why the director had added the scene if he wasn't aware of how childbirth works, 'lowk i cant get over how hdh had junhee give birth completely unmedicated and then walk it off 5 minutes later…why did you add it if you didnt know anything about it.' Another wrote, 'the fact that junhee gave birth in under 10 minutes and then walked it off like she was doing it every other week is making me ctfu WHO WROTE THIS!!!!' 'This is misogynistic propaganda' At the end of the three-season ordeal, Player 222's baby ends up winning the game, a twist that received mixed responses. Many reactions to that ranged from calling it 'propaganda' to 'misogynistic'. A frustrated X user posted a meme, writing, 'They definitely tried to make this season of Squid Game into propaganda for South Korea's declining birth rate #SquidGame #SquidGame3.' Another wrote, 'How it feels watching s3 of squid game just for it to be misogynistic, transmysogynistic, and a bunch of prolife bulls**t.' A person posted a hilarious meme, writing, 'can't take squid game s3 seriously they're saying the newborn baby counts as a player.' Another questioned the series ending, 'I'm sorry but having your entire series boil down to all your main characters basically sacrificing themselves for a baby that hasnt even uttered a word is just stupid. How is the audience supposed to root for the baby when we just met the baby two seconds ago?? #SquidGame.' Squid Game is a dystopian thriller about a secret contest in which 456 players in financial hardship risk their lives to play children's games.
