The handover ceremony was attended by the Deputy Minister of Health and Child Care of Zimbabwe, Sleiman Kwidini, and the UAE Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Jassim Mohamed Al-Hassanini.
The aid comes at a time when Zimbabwe is modernizing its healthcare system.
Kwidini noted that the equipment will provide significant assistance to patients with life-threatening conditions.
Hassanini reaffirmed the UAE's ongoing commitment to Zimbabwe through development and humanitarian cooperation. "We hope this medical assistance will have a positive impact on the lives of Zimbabweans," he said.
Health experts anticipate that the new ICU ventilators will significantly improve survival rates in intensive-care units across the country. (MENA)

KUALA LUMPUR, July 18 (MENA) - Malaysia's Ministry of Health has equipped 156 public health clinics with a cloud-based content management system (CCMS), enabling 70 percent of patients to receive treatment in under 30 minutes, TV BRICS reported. The move forms part of the country's broader digital transformation in healthcare, led by Health Minister Dzulkefly Ahmad. The minister reiterated the country's commitment to advancing cross-border digital capacity building, ethical AI governance, and regional health data cooperation. "Precision public health is no longer a future concept. It is already being implemented in Malaysia and will serve as a cornerstone for a resilient and competitive health system," said Dzulkefly. According to the ministry, the upgrade is a milestone in the artificial intelligence (AI)-driven reform program currently being rolled out nationwide. The officials stated that the first phase of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system has been successfully completed. South Africa to Open Four New Provincial Academic Hospitals
Nada Mustafa South Africa is set to establish four new academic hospitals in noncentral provinces. The official announcement was made by Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi in Parliament, according to TV BRICS. The initiative aims to address equal access to medical training infrastructure across the country. Construction has already begun on a new academic hospital in Limpopo, which is currently 26 per cent complete. According to Motsoaledi, South Africa has ten central hospitals where medical students are currently trained, four of which are located in Gauteng province. In contrast, provinces such as Mpumalanga, North West, Limpopo, and the Northern Cape lack these facilities. The Minister also announced the complete reconstruction of several existing academic hospitals, including a major facility in KwaZulu-Natal and two others located in Tshwane and Mthatha.
