The Acura Integra Type S Isn't Worth the Extra Money: Video Review
Civic Type R
in Sunday slippers, a less hardcore, more road-focused Honda hot hatchback. The prospect was enticing, though I would argue the current-gen Type R is far from a hardcore, raw experience. Then, Acura released pricing and let journalists have a go. Suddenly, this new Acura became a $54,000 proposition, even more expensive than the already expensive $47,000 Type R, and it came with fewer performance features.
For your extra money, you get heated seats that are practically lifted from the Integra A-Spec, a heads-up display, an ELS Studio 3D stereo, and a slight power bump over the Type R. The seats were apparently reprofiled specifically for the Integra Type S, but they can only be described as a downgrade compared to the Type R's incredible seats. Why couldn't they just put heating elements in the Type R's seats with some leather?
Then, you lost the Type R's functional gauge cluster readouts for coolant, intake air, oil pressure, and boost, and the extremely cool shift lights. Rubbing that last granule of salt in the
Type S
paper cut is losing LogR, which stores detailed telemetry during track sessions. I can't help but feel it's an overall downgrade for even more money.
The market spoke. Type Rs continue to be marked up and difficult to find at MSRP, while Integra Type S' trade below MSRP. Thus, I decided to re-explore the Integra Type S for our newest YouTube video to see if, at real-world cost parity, the Integra could truly compete with its stablemate. To find out, simply sit back and watch.

How To Remove Foul Odors From Your Car
Many a motorist's vehicle doubles as an office, bedroom, entertainment center, snack wagon, kiddie pet transporter and more. It's only natural over time for the interior of your ride to develop eau de funk, which can make painful riding for friends and family, not to mention dates. Also, stains and rotten smells affect your car's resale value. Here's a guide to getting rid of some of unseen offenders in your car. Suck it up It's not enough to toss all the trash, lids, bottles, newspapers and other bric-a-brac on the floor of your ride. Odors and stains get trapped in rugs, so use that big-mouth vacuum at the car wash after you've removed all the refuse. Start with the dashboard and gauges and work down. Use the needle-nose attachment to get between the seats, and don't forget the headliner---the material attached to the roof of the car. Clean carpets Using a mix of laundry detergent and water, wipe down the interior with a rag, being careful not to saturate anything---certain glues in and around your cabin don't react well to water. You can use a hose if available for removable carpets; use a medium-bristle brush to clean them further with your detergent-water mixture. Wipe the headliner with a damp (not soaked) rag, in a uniform direction. After rinsing your rag, wipe in the opposite direction. (Note: You may want to test your solution on an inconspicuous section of your seats to ensure you won't discolor the surface.) Hand cleaning the car interior with microfiber cloth towel If your bucket of solution doesn't need to be changed yet, wipe all surfaces including seat belts---they absorb odors, too. Use a liquid fabric freshener to help kill embedded smells. Some professionals recommend running the air conditioner, which also collects odors, and squirting a little Frebrez into the housing of your windshield AC will draw the fragrance through its housing and minimize certain trapped there. Get rid of stains Denatured alcohol works on ink, makeup, shoe scuffs, coffee and other tough-to-remove stains. Be sure to pour the alcohol on a rag and wipe lightly as opposed to spraying directly on surfaces. Tide-To-Go, a pen that removes stains from fabrics, is also good for quick clean-ups, as is WD-40. Keepin' it real (clean) Prevention's the best way to fight interior smellificaton, but certain odors are tougher to get rid of altogether. One way to combat stink is to sprinkle a few spoonfuls of baking soda or kitty litter, both of which absorb odors, then vaccum after they've been sitting awhile. You may have to this more than once. Final word: Obviously, if your car is near-new or has all-leather seating, it's best to follow the instructions in your owner's manual, or leave total interior cleaning to professionals. When in doubt, consult your dealer.

Tesla's declining Q2 car sales sparks sell-off: Chart of the Day
Tesla (TSLA) stock sold off on Thursday as its core car business continues to weaken, with vehicle revenue down 16% year over year in the second quarter. Yahoo Finance Reporter Josh Schafer breaks down the details. To watch more expert insights and analysis on the latest market action, check out more Market Domination Overtime here. In today's chart of the day, we're taking a closer look at a key metric for Tesla in its current business, its car business. Of course, Tesla is often a stock that trades at a high valuation. It trades on perhaps a story about tomorrow. It trades on autonomous cars and potentially robots, and plenty of things that could completely alter the business and drive Tesla's revenue higher. But right now, Tesla shares are down about 8%, and here's what I think one key reason is why the Wall Street analysts have been highlighting. Look at the trend we are seeing in Tesla's car business, its car revenue, its vehicle sales. This has been a key metric that continues to move lower. So what we're looking at here, of course, is purple would be your level. That would be how high the actual revenue is. But key that I'm highlighting here with this red line moving down is the trend in green, year-over-year growth. The trend has been lower. Tesla sales, car business fell 16% year over year in that second quarter. That is what Wall Street is talking about today, and that is why Tesla stock, or a key reason why Tesla stock fell about 8%. And it's been interesting just to watch sort of the reaction today, because of course, there are plenty of analysts that have come out remain bullish on Tesla. Adam Jonas over at Morgan Stanley saying that the long-term thesis might still be intact for Tesla, but right now, it's an argument over the car business versus that autonomous business. So the bulls still telling you to focus on the autonomous business, but at least for one day, Josh, one day, it seems like Tesla actually trading on fundamentals for a change, and the fundamentals for this company are just quite simply not that great right now.

Tesla Just Signed a Chip Supply Deal with Samsung. What Does That Mean for TSLA Stock?
Tesla (TSLA) shares closed higher today after the company announced one of its largest tech partnerships ever with Samsung Electronics. The agreement worth an estimated $16.5 billion will see the South Korean giant dedicate its new Texas fab to 'making Tesla's next-generation AI6 chip,' billionaire CEO Elon Musk confirmed in a X post on Monday. More News from Barchart Warren Buffett Warns Inflation Turns Business Into 'The Upside-Down World of Alice in Wonderland' But Weeds Out 'Bad Businesses' Why GOOGL Stock May Be the Market's Next Big Winner Alphabet Posts Lower Free Cash Flow and FCF Margins - Is GOOGL Stock Overvalued? Markets move fast. Keep up by reading our FREE midday Barchart Brief newsletter for exclusive charts, analysis, and headlines. Despite today's gain, Tesla stock is down nearly 12% versus its high set in the final week of May. Significance of Samsung Deal for Tesla stock The Samsung deal is meaningfully positive for TSLA as it secures long-term access to custom AI chips critical for Full Self-Driving (FSD), robotics, and data center operations. Through this deal, Tesla gains supply chain stability and manufacturing oversight as well. The AI6 chip will unify the automaker's hardware across vehicles and robots, boosting efficiency and reducing reliance on Nvidia (NVDA). In short, the chip supply agreement is a strategic leap for Tesla's vertical integration and AI leadership, potentially accelerating product innovation, improving margins, and increasing the TSLA share price over time. William Blair Remains Dovish on TSLA Shares In a CNBC interview, William Blair analyst Jed Dorsheimer was nothing but positive on the Samsung deal announced today as it reinforces Musk's commitment to moonshot businesses like robotaxis, humanoid robotics, and AI infrastructure. These ventures are broadly expected to drive future value for the Austin-headquartered EV maker. 'Most investors want to see Elon do what Elon does best, which is innovate, and this certainly is a data point for that,' he argued. Still, the senior William Blair analyst maintained his 'Market Perform' rating on Tesla shares citing continued weakness in the company's core automotive business and the potential impact that the removal of EV tax credits will have on it post-September. Wall Street Agrees with William Blair on Tesla Investors should note that Jed Dorsheimer of William Blair is not the only Wall Street analyst that recommends treading with caution on Tesla stock. According to Barchart, the consensus rating on TSLA shares currently sits at 'Hold' only with the mean target of about $298 indicating potential downside of about 8% from current levels.
