South Park fans 'cancelling Paramount Plus immediately' after show vanishes from
Co-creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone made their outrage clear after calling the delay in season 27's release a 's*** show' that's screwing over their show.
The Season 27 premiere was delayed from July 9 to July 23 for US viewers due to ongoing licensing fights between Paramount, HBO Max, and the creators.
In the latest twist, Paramount Plus has removed all 26 seasons of South Park – except for its specials – which has obviously left fans outraged.
Fans outside of the US noticed the removals immediately after the license window closed.
Paramount's statement explained that streaming rights expired, and they're waiting on new licensing deals before re‑adding the episodes.
On social media, Paramount Plus wrote: 'We understand your frustration. Unfortunately, South Park has come to the end of the window in which we have the rights to carry it on Paramount+ which is why it has now had to come down from the platform.'
What's more, Warner Bros Discovery's HBO Max deal expired in June 2025, ending their season‑by‑season streaming agreement.
British fans thought they had found a loophole by streaming Paramount Plus through Amazon Prime Video – but every South Park series will be removed by Monday.
Reddit fans are furious, with @emale27 saying 'Cancelling Paramount immediately' after discovering the missing episodes.
Many fans bought a Paramount Plus subscription purely to stream South Park – @admirable-farmer-665, 'I bought a year's subscription this week mainly to watch this.'
Another Reddit user, @therealrick232, highlighted that half of Season 23 disappeared overnight, speculating it was 'garbage.'
Fans are evidently disappointed at the fragmented streaming access, especially when specials sit on Paramount Plus while core seasons vanish.
Paramount signed a massive $900 million (£666 million) deal in 2021 for exclusive South Park content, but that has muddied the water for fans.
HBO Max originally held streaming rights until June 2025 under a $500 million (£374 million) contract, now lapsed with no replacement deal.

South Park: Post COVID: The Return of COVID (2021, sequel special)
South Park: The Streaming Wars (2022, special)
South Park: The Streaming Wars Part 2 (2022, follow-up special)
South Park: Joining the Panderverse (2023, special)
South Park: (Not Suitable for Children) (2023, OnlyFans-themed special)
South Park: The End of Obesity (2024, weight-loss drug satire special)
South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (1999 feature film)
Warner Bros even sued Paramount back in 2023, accusing them of diverting specials away from HBO Max, prompting a legal battle.
Paramount countered by suing Warner for unpaid fees in the tens of millions and claimed compliance with contracts.
Despite the removals, Paramount Plus says it hopes to restore the episodes once a new agreement is finalised.
Meanwhile, Season 27 is firmly scheduled to air on Comedy Central US on July 23, with streaming options still up in the air and no signs of a UK release in sight.
Fans can stream episodes live on platforms like YouTube, TV and Hulu Plus as well as watch reruns on Comedy Central UK channel.
There's no confirmation yet on where the new episodes will end up post-release: whether that is, Paramount Plus, HBO Max, or elsewhere.
Season 27 marks South Park's return after a two-year hiatus and comes amid heated streaming drama.
Parker and Stone have threatened legal action against Paramount's leadership, demanding fair contract treatment. Paramount's merger with Skydance, set to complete on July 6, is blamed for stalling streaming negotiations.
Redditors remain bitter, calling Paramount Plus a 'joke' as iconic episodes like Big Gay Al and Ginger Cow are absent. More Trending
Many fans say they're being forced to pirate episodes or buy physical media just to watch the full catalogue. As a result, collectors are embracing DVDs and Blu‑Rays, praising them for preserving uncensored episodes.
Streaming rights continue to shuffle in what fans now call the Great South Park Shuffle of 2025.
Fresh episodes will air soon, but fans are demanding clarity on where they'll be able to hit play.
South Park season 27 will be ready to stream on Comedy Central on July 23rd.

Clarkson's Farm star forced to call 999 during heatwave over fire risk
Clarkson's Farm star forced to call 999 during heatwave over fire risk Kaleb Cooper, who has become famous since appearing on the Amazon Prime show alongside Jeremy Clarkson, took to social media to share the warning Kaleb Cooper, a familiar face from Clarkson's Farm, has criticised individuals for releasing Chinese lanterns into the Cotswolds countryside amid a heatwave. The farming contractor urgently contacted emergency services yesterday upon spotting the lanterns, which are known to pose a significant wildfire risk according to fire services. The Oxfordshire native and breakout star of the show with Jeremy Clarkson took to social media on Saturday (July 12) to voice his concerns. In an Instagram post titled "what is going on in the world" Kaleb shared a video message. Although the video mainly showed a shadowy figure, it included Kaleb speaking directly to the camera, expressing his disbelief: "I can't quite believe what I'm seeing at the moment." He continued, revealing his immediate action: "I've just called this in to 999 but someone has felt the need to light two Chinese lanterns in and around the Chipping Norton area. I'm looking at both of them as we speak right now." Kaleb then questioned the rationale behind such actions during dangerous weather conditions: "But what goes through someone's mind when they decide to light two Chinese lanterns in the middle of a heatwave. "We've hardly had any rain since March. Jesus, honestly. What's going on with the world," reports Gloucestershire Live. His followers quickly echoed his sentiments in the comments section. Kaleb stars alongside Jeremy Clarkson in Clarkson's Farm (Image: Amazon Prime Video ) One follower emphasised the need for awareness: "People need educating mate. Spread the message." Another supporter agreed with Kaleb's warning: "Well said Kaleb, this could quite easily start a wild fire." A third individual expressed concern saying: "Some people really don't have a clue. The farmer's field next to mine is that dry I can literally put my whole hand down the cracks of the soil." Meanwhile, another added their voice to the chorus of concerns: "They should never do this for any celebration. They let some of these off for a wedding near me. They set fire to someone's house and barn when they landed. Plus livestock can ingest them when they land. It's like balloon releases. It's littering, pure and simple. Should be banned." Kaleb was praised by his followers for his actions (Image:) On its website, Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service offers advice about sky lanterns, describing them: "Sky lanterns are a beautiful sight - but the potential damage they can cause is significant. "They use the heat of a naked flame to float. They're not only a fire hazard but also a danger to livestock, agriculture, camping activities, thatched properties and hazardous material sites. "Whilst ignition and launch are mostly in the control of the user, the actual flight path and end destination are not. There's no guarantee the fuel cell will be completely out and cooled when the lantern lands, so any contact with a flammable surface could start a fire. "There's evidence of them causing fires, wasting police time, being mistaken for distress flares, misleading aircraft and killing livestock." Antiques Roadshow guest speechless as items he saved from skip worth £250,000
Antiques Roadshow fans were left amazed as one guest was told his collection of items he saved from a skip were worth an eye-watering amount of money Antiques Roadshow fans were left in awe during Sunday's episode at Clissold Park, Stoke Newington, as a savvy guest discovered the astonishing value of a collection he rescued from a skip. The episode featured a remarkable find when a man brought in an archive belonging to renowned designer Althea McNish, who emigrated from Trinidad in the 1950s and became a titan of fashion and textile design. Expert Ronnie Archer-Morgan was visibly impressed by the "treasure trove" of McNish's work that the guest had salvaged, which included pieces designed for prestigious clients like Liberty, Christian Dior, and even the Royal Family. Recounting his lucky encounter with the items in December 2020, the guest said: "2020, December, builders were throwing stuff away. I was a cheeky chappie, asked them if I could have a look, buy some bits and bobs, done a deal." Expert Ronnie then highlighted McNish's significant impact on British post-war textile design, noting her vibrant contributions that brightened up Britain's shores with the essence of Trinidadian colour during a dreary post-war period, reports the Express. Ronnie from Antiques Roadshow then left the guest utterly gobsmacked after valuing their collection at a staggering sum. "I'd like to try and value this, I know that half a square metre of certain of her designs can be £2,500 or a textile design itself can be that sort of money. "From what you've told me and what you've described and what I know, I think this archive that you've brought to us here is worth in excess of £250,000... in excess of and it needs to be calculated." The owner was visibly shocked, expressing their amazement: "That's blown me away! It's just been an incredible journey of learning and knowledge, I've loved every minute." They gratefully added: "Thank you, you've made my day, honestly!" to which Ronnie responded with equal enthusiasm: "Well, you've made mine too!" Social media buzzed with excitement over the episode, with one Twitter, now X, user exclaiming: "First time I've heard of Althea McNish, but this collection seems amazing, #AntiquesRoadshow" and another chiming in: "Hope it can be properly archived/ displayed." Another tweet read: "Incredible valuation of £250000 for the Althea McNish archive on the #AntiquesRoadshow." Catch more surprising discoveries on Antiques Roadshow, airing Sundays at 8pm on BBC One.
