Humaira Asghar Ali dead at 35
The grim discovery was made when her landlord, accompanied by a court bailiff and police officers, arrived to execute a court-ordered eviction due to non-payment of rent. Humaira had reportedly stopped paying rent in early 2024, though she had been living in the third-floor flat in Ittehad Commercial area of DHA Phase VI since 2018. The flat's main door was locked from the inside, prompting authorities to break it open.
The actor's body was found in an advanced state of decomposition.
According to SHO Farooq Sanjrani of Gizri Police Station, there were no immediate signs of foul play or forced entry. Crime Scene Unit investigators collected forensic evidence from the scene, and the body was moved to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for post-mortem examination. Initial assessment suggests natural causes, but the exact cause of death will be determined after the autopsy. The flat has since been sealed, and the investigation remains ongoing.
Police have yet to locate any of Humaira's family members. She was believed to be living alone with limited contact, which contributed to the delay in discovering her death.
Industry in mourning
Humaira carved a space for herself in showbiz over the past decade. She rose to fame after winning Veet Miss Super Model in 2014 and appearing in reality show Tamasha Ghar (2022). Humaira's acting credits include TV series such as Laali, and films Jalaibee (2015) and Love Vaccine (2021). For her artistic contributions, she was awarded the National Woman Leadership Award in 2023.
Her sudden passing has left fans and colleagues stunned, as tributes pour in across social media.

Singer Zoheb Hassan took to his Facebook, voicing "This is such sad news and not the first time this has happened in Karachi where single women have been found dead in their apartments. Reports say her death was natural causes. I still urge the Government of Pakistan to initiate a thorough investigation and ensure the safety of our daughters, sisters and mothers living alone."
Udaari actor, Hina Altaf, echoed the same sentiments as him, expressing on her Instagram, "She lived alone. She passed away alone. And days went by without anyone even noticing. This isn't just a loss, it's a wake up call. Check in on your friends and also people who never asked. May Allah forgive her and give her the highest rank in Jannah. May Allah give strength to souls who are battling so quietly."
Mawra Hocane, Ahmed Ali Butt, Madiha Imam and Sadaf Kanwal also reacted to the news with sadness.
This tragedy feels all the more heartbreaking as it reflects a growing and deeply unsettling pattern - following reports of veteran actor Ayesha Khan's passing, also alone and in similarly isolating circumstances.

Dwight and Pam forever? Office fans freak as Rainn Wilson and Jenna Fischer reunite
Emmy-nominated comedy royalty reunited this week as The Office stars Rainn Wilson and Jenna Fischer delighted fans with a surprise meet-up. The two, who famously portrayed Dwight Schrute and Pam Beesly on the NBC hit series, caught up over lunch, and the internet is losing it. Wilson took to Instagram to share two selfies with Fischer, writing, 'Can you believe it!? Dwight and Pam forever!' He also called Fischer 'one of my favourite people on the planet,' recalling how they first met during auditions back in 2003. Their lunch wasn't just nostalgic; it doubled as a podcast recording session. Wilson revealed they taped audio in the back of Fischer's car for her rewatch podcast Office Ladies, which she co-hosts with Angela Kinsey (Angela Martin on the show). Fans were tickled to learn that Fischer had breakfast for lunch, while Wilson opted for a salad, joking about his weight. Fischer returned the affection by resharing the post, adding, 'Dwight is kind of my friend ❤️.' Kinsey chimed in too, writing, 'This makes my heart happy!' Their reunion rekindled memories of The Office's nine-season run from 2005 to 2013. The show's enduring popularity has kept the cast close, Fischer previously revealed they all stay in touch via a group chat called 'Office Peeps.' Kinsey even shared that Wilson is one of the most active participants, while Creed Bratton remains delightfully unpredictable. As fans flooded the comment section with nostalgic glee, many wondered if this lunch reunion could be a hint of more to come. Whether it's another podcast guest episode or a long-rumoured reboot, one thing's certain: Dwight and Pam still have our hearts.

Shade or wisdom? Aliza Sultan's advice on remarrying stirs online buzz
Aliza Sultan, influencer and former wife of actor Feroze Khan, continues to draw attention, not for drama, but for her grace and grounded perspective following a public and painful divorce. Married from 2018 to 2022, Sultan and Khan's marriage ended in a flurry of headlines, with Sultan releasing photographic evidence of alleged physical abuse and accusing Khan of infidelity. The fallout was messy, emotional, and very public. In her statement she wrote, 'Our marriage of four years was utter chaos. In addition to a continuous physical and psychological violence during this period, I had to endure infidelity, blackmail and degradation at my husband's hands. After careful consideration, I have reached the sad conclusion that I cannot spend my whole life in this horrific manner." But in recent months, Sultan has been carving out her own space online, sharing life updates and interacting with her 575,000 Instagram followers. During a recent Q&A session on her Instagram Stories, one follower asked her for advice on remarriage. Her response was both pointed and powerful: 'Take 100 years to think before marrying the wrong one. They'll make you regret your decision every single day.' It didn't take long for the internet to do its thing. Given her history, many speculated whether the comment was a veiled jab at her ex-husband. Still, countless others praised her for her maturity and honesty. 'More power to you ❤️' one user commented, while others chimed in with messages like 'Absolutely right' and 'Agreed.' Earlier this year, in January, Sultan once again addressed the challenges of life after divorce. When asked about raising children as a single mother, she didn't mince words. 'Being a single mom with two kids is never an easy job. Plus, when you don't have a responsible and graceful co-parent, it gets harder. Every passing day comes with obstacles.' She also saluted working mothers, calling them 'heroes' for raising children while their partners are away earning a living.
