Emirates Launches Daily Airbus A350 Flights to Muscat Ahead of Schedule
Emirates has officially commenced daily Airbus A350 services to Muscat International Airport, marking a major upgrade to its Dubai–Muscat route and reinforcing the airline's commitment to the Omani market. Originally planned for 1 July, the deployment was brought forward by a week. The A350 now operates flight EK 866, departing Dubai at 2:15 am and arriving in Muscat at 3:30 am. The return flight, EK 867, leaves Muscat at 4:40 am and lands in Dubai by 5:55 am—ideal for passengers connecting to onward flights across Europe, the Americas, Africa, and Asia. The three-class aircraft accommodates 312 passengers, featuring 32 lie-flat seats in Business Class, 21 seats in Premium Economy, and 259 in Economy. Designed for enhanced comfort on short and medium-haul routes, the A350 boasts wider aisles, higher ceilings, upgraded lighting, and faster Wi-Fi. All cabins are equipped with Emirates' latest in-flight entertainment system and improved seat ergonomics. Muscat joins a select group of regional cities—including Kuwait, Dammam, and Amman—now served by the A350, as Emirates expands its next-generation fleet. Seven A350s have entered service to date, with the aircraft expected to serve 17 destinations by year-end.
