‘Pretty Little Baby' singer Connie Francis, 87, hospitalized after suffering from ‘extreme pain'
The 87-year-old 'Pretty Little Baby' singer's health crisis was first announced by radio personality Cousin Brucie on Facebook, before Francis shared a message of her own.

'Hello Everyone — As many of you may now have learned through Cousin Brucie's Facebook page, I am back in hospital where I have been undergoing tests and checks to determine the cause(s) of the extreme pain I have been experiencing,' Francis wrote.
'I had hoped to take part in Brucie's show for Independence Day, having had to cancel a previous slot a few weeks ago when receiving treatment on my hip,' she continued. 'Sadly, I had to let him know that I again had to withdraw.'

The singer added: 'My thanks for your many get well soon messages. I will endeavor to keep you updated. Love, Connie.'
In a follow-up message, Francis wrote, 'I am pleased to advise that following a series of tests and examinations in Intensive Care, I have now been transferred to a private room.'
'Thank you all for your kind thoughts, words and prayers. They mean so much!'

Despite Francis retiring from the music industry in 2018, 'Pretty Little Baby' has gone viral on TikTok in recent years, over six decades after she released the song as part of her 1962 album 'Connie Francis Sings.'
'To tell you the truth, I didn't even remember the song!' Francis told People about the track's resurgence in popularity. 'I had to listen to it to remember.'

'To think that a song I recorded 63 years ago is touching the hearts of millions of people is truly awesome. It is an amazing feeling,' the 'Jamboree' actress shared. 'It's an honor. To see that they're paying homage to me is just breathtaking.'

Francis theorized that her song reached a new generation because 'it's innocent and pure, and this is a time when everything is in such chaos.'
'It's truly awesome. I never thought it was possible. It's a dream come true,' she also told the outlet. 'To think that kindergarten kids now know my name and my music? It's just thrilling!'
Her other hit songs include 'Everybody's Somebody's Fool,' 'Stupid Cupid,' 'Lipstick on Your Collar' and 'My Heart Has a Mind of It's Own.'
