This spiritual sequel to the 2007 blockbuster 'Taare Zameen Par' promises to deliver a heartwarming family entertainer with a focus on people with intellectual disabilities.
Following the release of its vibrant poster, the makers have finally unveiled the much-awaited trailer, and it's an absolute treat filled with love, laughter and happiness.
As per the trailer released by the makers, Aamir Khan plays the role of a Basketball coach who has been punished by the court to coach the basketball team of intellectually disabled people for what appears to be a drink and drive case.
In the three-minute and twenty-nine-second trailer, Aamir Khan is seen teaching basketball to people with intellectual disabilities to compete in a national tournament.
In one of the funny scenes, Aamir was seen arguing with one of the intellectually disabled men as he explained to them about the significance of a jersey in a basketball match.
The trailer is filled with love, laughter and happiness, as Aamir tackles the problems of his life while coaching the basketball team.
Genelia Deshmukh
seems to be playing the role of a love interest of Aamir in the film, as per the trailer.

While sharing the much-awaited trailer, the makers wrote,

The trailer introduces ten debutant actors: Aroush Datta,
Gopi Krishna
Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar, who will be playing the prominent roles in the film.
Directed by R.S. Prasanna, well known for his barrier-breaking film 'Shubh Mangal Saavdhan', Sitaare Zameen Par marks his most ambitious project to date, led by the ever iconic Aamir Khan.
The film has been made under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions. The songs of the film are composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, and the lyrics are penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya.
The background score is by Ram Sampath, and the screenplay is written by Divy Nidhi Sharma.
The movie is slated to release in theatres on June 20, 2025.

New Delhi: Director Mohit Suri's Saiyaara has entered its second week and is on track to cross the Rs 200 crore mark at the domestic box office. What's Happening The film, which marks the debut of actor Ahaan Panday, has seen a remarkable run in theatres. According to early estimates by Sacnilk, Saiyaara earned Rs 17.5 crore nett on its eighth day, bringing its total domestic collection to Rs 190.25 crore. The film has already surpassed Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par (Rs 164.74 crore), Ajay Devgn's Raid 2 (Rs 173 crore), and the multi-starrer comedy Housefull 5 (Rs 183 crore). There was a slight dip in occupancy rates on day 8, with an average of 25.6%. Morning and afternoon shows recorded occupancy of 13.69% and 23.58% respectively, while evening and night shows saw higher numbers at 25.39% and 39.72%. Background Saiyaara has now outperformed the lifetime domestic collections of several high-profile films, including Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (Rs 188 crore), Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (Rs 184 crore), Bajirao Mastani (Rs 184 crore), Raees (Rs 164 crore), and Bang Bang! 1 2 3 4 Patna: The students of Patna Women's College (PWC), an autonomous institution under the Patna University, learnt the art of book review at an interactive session organised at the college here on Saturday. The event was held under the auspices of the Kitab Club, in collaboration with the college's history department. Well-known historian and former director of Khuda Bakhsh Oriental Public Library, Imtiaz Ahmad, guided the students in reviewing a book successfully after having a thorough understanding of the book's content and message. The students selected a book entitled 'Historic evolution of Patna and its architecture', written by Kamini Sinha of NIT-Patna. Ahmad's deep knowledge and insights are specifically focused on the cultural evolution and the architectural history of Patna. The session was then followed by a question and answer round where the enthusiastic participation of the students created a more conducive learning environment. PWC's mass communication department, in collaboration with the media club, also organised. Aamir Khan played the role of a basketball coach who recognised the unique talents of these special children and helped them build confidence and find direction in life. The film beautifully portrayed essential life values such as acceptance, empathy, patience, creativity, sensitivity and the importance of recognising each child's unique potential. Filmmaker and critic Prashant Ranjan, who was present at the event, remarked, "A film is not just a medium, but a lens through which we view society. Sitaare Zameen Par belongs to all of us," he said. Psychology department head Nupur Sinha offered a psychological perspective on the film. She shared, "Films like these not only foster empathy in society but also teach us that every child is special and deserves to be understood."
