Khloé Kardashian's new Hulu show Calabasas: Behind the Gates is in talks and here's everything you need to know

Time of India24-04-2025
Buckle up, the Queen of glow-ups and sass-filled clapbacks, Khloé Kardashian, is sliding back onto our screens with a fresh serving of drama, designer heels, and deep Calabasas cuts. This time, she is not just sticking to family feuds and closet tours. She is giving us a peek behind the luxe life gates of her exclusive neighbourhood. Yep, Khloé is about to show us who is really living next door, and it is not just the sisters and their squad.
Khloé Kardashian's show: Calabasas Behind the Gates
Enter Calabasas Behind the Gates, the new Hulu reality show that promises drama, decadence, and maybe even a rare Rob Kardashian cameo (girl, we have not seen that man since 2016). The Good American mogul teased this juicy project during Hulu's first-ever Get Real panel on April 22, accompanied by the always-iconic Scott Disick. She described the show as "exciting, new and excellent," which is reality TV speak for: you are not ready for this level of petty.
What is the show about?
The show shifts the lens away from the main Kardashian-Jenner clan and zooms in on the wild, weird and wealthy world of their Calabasas neighbours. Think of it as a rich-mum version of The Real Housewives meets Euphoria aesthetics — filtered through Khloé's signature style and with enough gossip to crash your group chat.
What is the Rob Kardashian connection with this show?
Disney reality exec Rob Mills confirmed the show's working title is indeed Calabasas Behind the Gates, and honestly, it is giving exactly what it needs to give. Also, Khloé hinted her elusive brother Rob Kardashian could finally step back into the limelight. She is holding out hope, saying she believes he could make an appearance.
Khloé Kardashian's recent podcast
Spilling even more tea on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Khloé got real about how much power the sisters have over their on-screen narrative. Spoiler: they can cut out whatever they do not vibe with. And Kourtney? Apparently, she edits out clips if she thinks she says "like" too many times. Iconic behaviour, really.
The countdown to chaos behind Calabasas' golden gates has officially begun.

South Korean actor Jung Woo-sung marries girlfriend of 10 years: Report

South Korean actor Jung Woo-sung has become the focus of public attention after reports emerged claiming he has quietly registered his marriage. According to a media outlet's August 5 report, Jung is said to have tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend and shared the news privately with close acquaintances. Reportedly, the woman is not a public figure, and the couple has been in a relationship for over a decade. Their bond was well known among friends, and they were often seen on double dates with actor Lee Jung-jae—Jung's close friend—and Lim Se-ryung, the vice chair of Daesang Group. Following the news, Jung Woo-sung's agency, Artist Company, issued a statement urging the public to respect the actor's personal life. 'We cannot make an official statement regarding reports about actor Jung Woo Sung as they involve his private life. We ask that people refrain from excessive attention and speculation.' This isn't the first time Jung's private life has stirred media interest. In November last year, his agency confirmed that Jung is the father of a child born to model Moon Gabi. At the time, the actor took full responsibility, with the statement affirming that he would be actively involved in raising the child. Despite the recent personal developments, Jung Woo-sung is expected to return to the screen later this year. He is set to star in the upcoming Disney+ series 'Made in Korea', marking his much-anticipated comeback in the second half of 2025. The show will also feature Woo Do-hwan, Hyun Bin, Jung Sung-il, Won Ji-

Twisted Wonderland: Disney+ anime adaptation release date, plot and more

Disney+ has locked in October 29 as the premiere date for Twisted Wonderland: The Animation, its upcoming anime series inspired by the hit mobile game of the same name. According to Deadline, Twisted Wonderland is not a typical Disney fairy tale. It flips the script by focusing on villains rather than heroes. The original game, co-created by Aniplex and Walt Disney Japan, first launched in Japan back in 2020. Since then, it has racked up more than 4.8 million downloads and expanded into manga, novels, and a whole line of merchandise. The anime follows a Tokyo high schooler named Yuken Enma who, in true fantasy fashion, gets pulled into a mysterious, magical world. His destination? Night Raven College - an elite academy where the students aren't exactly friendly and the rules are unlike anything back home. A world where Disney villains reign supreme Night Raven College is not just any school, per the outlet. Its seven dormitories are each inspired by legendary Disney villains - dubbed the 'Great Seven.' Fans will spot nods to the Queen of Hearts, Scar, Ursula, Jafar, the Evil Queen, Hades, and Maleficent throughout the series. But Yuken's not exactly thrilled to be there. Unlike his classmates, he can't use magic. He does not know the customs. And, frankly, he does not even want to stay. His one goal? Find a way home. Still, escaping is easier said than done. Yuken quickly gets entangled in the chaos caused by Ace and Deuce, two students who seem to have a knack for trouble. On top of that, he's got to stay out of the crosshairs of Riddle Rosehearts - the tyrannical head of Heartslabyul dorm who does not take kindly to rule-breakers.
