Beats wireless earphones now nearly half price as shoppers say they are superior to other brands
Wireless earbuds have become a go-to choice for those seeking high-quality audio, hands-free calls, and workout-friendly durability.
Among the most talked-about options are the Beats Powerbeats Pro Wireless Earphones, which currently have a significant price drop on Amazon. Priced at £139, down from £269.95, they're now 49% off and available in Black, Ivory, and Navy.
The Powerbeats Pro offers up to 9 hours of listening time on a single charge, with the case extending playback to over 24 hours.
Designed with adjustable, secure-fit ear hooks, these earbuds are built for comfort and stability during intense workouts.
A reinforced, sweat- and water-resistant build adds durability, while volume and track controls on each earbud, built-in microphones, and auto play/pause features round out the functionality.
Several other options are also available in the wireless earbuds market.
The Anker Soundcore Sport X20, for instance, features rotatable and extendable ear hooks, IP68 waterproofing, and up to 48 hours of playtime. It is currently priced at £74.99 (RRP £89.99) with a 4.3-star rating from 5,472 reviews.
Another popular choice is the Apple AirPods Pro 2, which includes active noise cancellation, personalised spatial audio, and USB-C charging. At £189 (RRP £229), they've earned a 4.6-star average from over 15,000 reviews.
But for those considering the Powerbeats Pro, there's plenty of positive feedback backing the choice. These earbuds hold a 4.1-star rating from 11,699 Amazon reviews.
One user shared: 'My Powerbeats Pro is the best hearing aid I have ever bought... The battery lasts almost all day... With the hooks, my Powerbeats Pro sits comfortably in my ears with my glasses... Overall to me at least the Powerbeats Pro is superior to similar headphones in its class.'
However, not all experiences have been flawless. One reviewer said: 'There are two negatives... No ANC. And the earphones tend to have a common flaw whereby in-case charging can be an issue... I normally spend a few seconds carefully placing them in my charging case but still have turned up to the gym with one earbud dead.'
Other reviewers praised build quality and performance: 'Everything about these earphones scream quality... The sound quality surprised me... They are incredibly well balanced... Probably not as tight [a seal] as some others... but I don't find myself having to take them out because of a build up of pressure.'

While others were less impressed: 'The sound quality is just average, and they tend to fall out once I start sweating... there are times when only one headphone turns on after I take them out of the box.'
Another user was particularly enthusiastic: 'These headphones are game changing... Sound quality is possibly the cleanest I've heard... Also these are the only earbuds that stay in and I can wear for 12 hours no issues.'
The Beats Powerbeats Pro may not be without flaws, particularly when it comes to the size of the case and occasional charging issues—but they remain a strong contender in the premium workout earbud space.
Get the Beats Powerbeats Pro Wireless Earphones HERE at £139 while the offer lasts.

Amazon announces massive change to streaming platform that will affect all customers
It's time for streamers to say their final goodbyes to Freevee. The ad-supported streaming service, that's home to originals like Jury Duty, Bosch: Legacy and Judy Justice and hit shows such as Schitt's Creek, will be discontinued in August. The Freevee termination comes after Amazon confirmed its plans to shut down the service and place all its content under the Prime Video brand. As a result, all Freevee originals will be moved to Amazon's streaming service and made available to non-Prime members under the 'Watch for Free' section. The company began taking steps to end Freevee last year by launching ads on Prime Video, which is included in a Prime membership for $14.99 a month, or as a stand-alone service for $8.99. Members can also pay an additional $2.99 to remove ads. Launched as IMDB Freedive in 2019, the service rebranded to IMDB TV before turning into Amazon Freevee in 2022. The ad-supported version of Prime Video later expanded to the UK, Germany, and Austria, and by November 2024, 44 percent of US Freevee viewers did not have Prime Video accounts, according to Ampere Analysis. While there are currently over 200 million Prime Video streamers, some members have been unimpressed with the company as a whole in recent years. Some of the fury was ignited after the company opted to raise its annual membership price to $139 from $119 in 2022. It started becoming 'unbearable' for some customers in January after they noticed the high number of ads in TV shows and films. Besides the streaming service issues, some shoppers have threatened to delete their Amazon accounts after the company axed a same-day delivery perk, raised the price of Amazon Music Unlimited, and discontinued its Try Before You Buy service. But Amazon is now expanding its same-day and next-day delivery services to over 4,000 small cities, towns, and rural communities. The move is meant to help shoppers who have limited delivery options. The company is now hard at work in preparing to launch its Prime Day sales event. The now four-day sales special has already begun offering early deals, including a $1/gallon discount on gas. Freevee is not the only streaming service to shut in recent years. Quibi, a service that featured reboots of Punk'd and Singled Out, crashed and burned eight months after its launch in 2020. Prior to its demise, Quibi was exploring potential sales options a month before announcing the shutdown and faced backlash for paying Reese Witherspoon $6 million to narrate a show on the platform. The Crackle platform ceased operations in 2024 after 20 years of operation. At the time, most of its stake was owned by Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment, the owner of Redbox that filed for bankruptcy. With these streaming platforms biting the dust, Prime Video's primary competition includes services like Netflix, Hulu, Peacock, and HBO Max.

Amazon makes major change for Prime Day
With the news now out that Amazon Prime Day is set to last twice as long this year, Prime members can expect to see deals for four whole days - from the 8th to the 11th July. That's not the only huge change to this year's sale though, as Amazon has announced it will be introducing ' Today's Big Deals.' What could this mean for you? If you're currently a Prime member gearing up for the sales, you could some better-than-usual deals on selected big brand products in home, tech, beauty, parenting and more. Of course, Amazon hasn't officially told members what this will entail but we expect this to work similar to the classic lightning deals we're used to seeing at these events. Why Amazon has chosen to extend its Prime Day sale isn't entirely clear, with the retail giant simply saying two days 'wasn't long enough'. However, with more and more retailers launching their own summer sales around Prime Day - many of which last a week or more - Amazon could be looking to compete with its biggest rivals. Amazon Prime Day is now in its tenth year, with the first deals event launching in July 2015. Since then, Amazon has introduced a second Prime Day event, which runs for two days in October and a Spring Sale that takes place earlier in the year around March. Is Prime Day still worth it? With Amazon now running three exclusive deals events throughout the year on top of its Black Friday sale, enthusiasm for spending is drying up. Add to that a growing number of retailers such as John Lewis , Argos and Ninja all holding their own summer sales and its easy to see why Amazon is trying to come up with bigger and better ways to grab consumers attentions.
