Lauren Sánchez Shares First Photo with Husband Jeff Bezos from the Couple's Starry Venice Wedding
Lauren Sánchez and Jeff Bezos' star-studded wedding took place on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice, Italy, on Friday, June 27
Sánchez walked down the aisle wearing a high-necked, hand-appliquéd Italian lace wedding dress designed by Dolce&Gabbana
'It went from 'I want a simple, sexy modern dress' to 'I want something that evokes a moment,' and where I am right now. I am a different person than I was five years ago," Sánchez told VogueLauren Sánchez has shared the first photo from her Venice wedding to husband Jeff Bezos.
Shortly after tying the knot with Bezos on Friday, June 27, Sánchez — who officially confirmed her marriage by changing her Instagram handle and name in bio to "Lauren Sánchez Bezos" just hours after the ceremony— posted her first wedding photo with the billionaire Amazon founder.
"06/27/2025 ♥️," the bride wrote in the caption of her post.
She shared a photo from the outdoor garden ceremony, which PEOPLE confirmed took place on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice, Italy. Sánchez smiled beside Bezos wearing a lace wedding dress featuring sheer lace sleeves, a mermaid-style silhouette and 180 silk chiffon-covered priest buttons running down the front.
Just minutes after Sánchez posted, Vogue shared all the wedding dress details in its June 2025 digital cover story. More than a year and a half ago, Sánchez met with Domenico Dolce in New York to start crafting her dream Dolce&Gabbana gown.
'It went from 'I want a simple, sexy modern dress' to 'I want something that evokes a moment,' and where I am right now," Sánchez told the outlet. "I am a different person than I was five years ago."
She added that it would be the first formal dress she's ever worn that is so covered up across the chest.
'It is a departure from what people expect,' she said, 'from what I expect—but it's very much me.'
She topped the look with a tulle-and-lace veil, "inspired by the one Sophia Loren wore in the 1958 film Houseboat," per Vogue.
The nuptials come after a source confirmed to PEOPLE that Sánchez and Bezos were engaged in May 2023. The pair were on vacation in the South of France when Bezos proposed. They first went public with their relationship in January 2019.
Bezos popped the question with a ring estimated to be about 30 carats set on a four-prong platinum mounting.
Jeweler and expert Briony Raymond told PEOPLE at the time that because of the ring's high color grade and clarity, it was estimated to have cost "anywhere from $3 million to upwards of $5 million depending on the exact specifications of the diamond."
Following news of their engagement, a source told PEOPLE they were "on cloud nine" and "so happy and madly in love."
In a profile for Vogue's December issue that year, Sánchez said they were taking wedding planning slow and making every decision step-by-step.
'We're still thinking about the wedding, what it's going to be. Is it going to be big? Is it going to be overseas? We don't know yet," she said. "We've only been engaged five months!"
Sánchez also told the outlet at the time that she was not rushing to make a decision about her wedding dress, noting, "There's so many incredible designers."

Marion Cotillard and Guillaume Canet split
Marion Cotillard and Guillaume Canet have split. The 49-year-old actress and the 52-year-old film director have announced that they are separating with 'common accord' and 'mutual goodwill' after 18 years together. They announced the split in a statement to the Agence France-Presse news agency, saying they were making the announcement in order 'to avoid all speculation, rumours and risky interpretations'. They did not reveal a reason for the split. The pair starred opposite each other in 2003's 'Love Me If You Dare' and they began dating in 2007. In 2011 they welcomed their first child, a son named Marcel and in 2017, they had a baby girl. While pregnant with her daughter, Marion was forced to deny speculation of a romance with her 'Allied' co-star Brad Pitt, amid his split from Angelina Jolie. Marion wrote on Instagram at the time: 'This is going to be my first and only reaction to the whirlwind news that broke 24 hours ago and that I was swept up into. I am not used to commenting on things like this nor taking them seriously but as this situation is spiralling and affecting people I love, I have to speak up.' 'Firstly, many years ago, I met the man of my life, father of our son and of the baby we are expecting. He is my love, my best friend, the only one that I need. 'I do very much wish that Angelina and Brad, both whom I deeply respect, will find peace in this very tumultuous moment.' Canet also called out 'the haters' who spread the 'stupid and unfounded accusations'.
