Children particularly enjoyed the event, as a special area was designated for participants under the age of 7. The two-hour event was a success, thanks to the effective coordination between the Sharjah Sports Council, the UAE Cycling Federation, and Strider.

Bakhit Al Qars praised the community event, stating that it has become an annual occasion eagerly awaited by cycling enthusiasts in Sharjah. He emphasized that participation was the main focus, regardless of winning or losing, which is often the case in official races where competition is fierce. He appreciated the enthusiasm of the participants and the family atmosphere that prevailed throughout the event.

Medals were distributed to all participants, designed in the shape of a bicycle, featuring a map of the world to commemorate World Bicycle Day, a unique element since the first edition.

Exhibition showcases Sharjah's cultural richness The 'Huna Al Sharjah' exhibition was inaugurated in the presence of Dr Mohammed Ahmed Al Mutawa, Chairman of the Club, and Mohammed Ali Al Dhahouri, Head of Cultural and Community Activities. Visitors explored exhibits reflecting Sharjah's heritage and civilisation through interactive displays, photos, and models that strengthened participants' ties to their emirate. Water games build teamwork and endurance In an exciting off-site activity, club members joined a water sports festival hosted by the Sharjah Marine Sports Club at Al Heera Beach. The event featured a series of water-based challenges that promoted teamwork, physical fitness, and enjoyment in a spirited outdoor setting. Staying true to the programme's athletic core, the club also held mini indoor tournaments in football, handball, basketball, and karate. Overseen by qualified Emirati coaches, the competitions helped young participants develop athletic ability and positive sporting behaviour. Leaders praise the programme's impact Club Chairman Dr Mohammed Ahmed Al Mutawa expressed pride in the quality and variety of the week's events, describing 'Huna Al Sharjah' as an extension of the emirate's efforts to nurture future generations through well-rounded programmes that combine learning, fun, and values. Mohammed Ali Al Dhahouri added that 'Our Unique holiday' is not just a seasonal initiative but a national project aimed at cultivating youth who are informed, responsible, and connected to their cultural roots. He reaffirmed the club's commitment to offering a purposeful and engaging summer experience in line with Sharjah Sports Council's vision.

The event was attended by Saeed Al Ajil, Vice President of the UAE Sports for All Federation; Bakhit Saeed Al Qars, Director of the Sports and Community Events Department; Yousef Al Hosani, Head of Event Planning and Implementation Section at the Sharjah Sports Council; and Lina Hamed from the mall's Marketing Department, who all presented the awards to the winners. In the 8 km race for Emirati men, Hamid Al Mualla came in first place, followed by Obaid Al Nuaimi in second, and Ammar Ali in third. For Emirati women, Afra Al Abdullah secured first place, followed by Eman Al Shamsi in second. Yasser Bakhit won first place in the men's open category, followed by Peter Campbell in second and Alwaleed Bidi in third. In the women's open category, Nancy Oyetty took first place, followed by Anita Nusura and Lara Barrow in second and third, respectively. In the 4 km race for Emirati men, Saif Al Alawi won first place, followed by Obaid Al Hammoudi in second and Khalid Al Abdouli in third. For Emirati women, Reem Al Eidrous came in first, Amal Al Kaabi second, and Al Ghalla Al Shehhi third. In the open men's category, Geoffrey Kiplagat secured first place, followed by Victor Korir in second and Raihan Syed in third. Among the women, Agnes Njohi won first place, with Jane Njira and Kira Avariella taking second and third. In the 800-metre children's race, Hamid Al Hammadi won first place, followed by Obaid Al Ketbi in second and Luca Jalloul in third. In the girls' category, Maryam Badr took first place, followed by Judy Mahmoud in second and Rowayda Syed in third.

Four distinguished awards The club won the "Best Pioneering Club" award among specialised clubs, an achievement that reflects its excellence in innovation and sustainable management of programmes and events specialised in the world of classic cars. On the individual level, Ahmed Saif Bin Hanzel Al Tamimi was awarded the "Best Executive Director in Specialised Clubs" award for his effective management and development initiatives. Hoda Thani received the "Best Corporate Communications Officer in Specialised Clubs" award in recognition of her vital role in building the club's professional media image. Aisha Yousef Al Qassab won the "Best Community Culture Officer in Specialised Clubs" award for her contributions to enhancing the club's role as a cultural and heritage centre that interacts with the community. An Integrated System of Excellence Commenting on this achievement, Dr. Ali Ahmed Abu Al Zoud, Chairman of the Sharjah Old Cars Club, said that the recognition reflects the club's belief that excellence can only be achieved through an integrated system where investment in human capital, development of institutional performance, and strengthening ties with the community are essential pillars. Expanding the club's footprint Al Zoud adde that the club is proud to see its members at the forefront, and believes that this new phase of excellence requires working to develop programmes and expand the club's impact locally and internationally, in a manner befitting the Emirate of Sharjah and its position in various sectors. The Sharjah Sports Excellence Leadership Programme is a strategic platform launched by the Sharjah Sports Council in April 2024. It aims to raise the level of sports culture in the emirate using scientific and systematic methods based on precise national and international standards. The programme is based on a vision to enhance investment in sports talent, support sustainable institutional performance, and stimulate local and international partnerships, directly contributing to improving quality of life and advancing the sports ecosystem in Sharjah.
