Moreover, India banned 16 Pakistani YouTube channels for allegedly circulating false and misleading narratives against India, spreading misinformation and 'disseminating provocative and false content'. This list of banned channels includes Samaa TV, Ary News, Dawn News, and Geo News, among others.
Meanwhile, the Instagram accounts of Hania Aamir, Mahira Khan among others are banned in India. Now in retaliation to this, Pakistan has pulled off Indian songs from all its radio stations. Earlier, songs of legends like
Kishore Kumar
,
Lata Mangeshkar
and even new singers like Arijit Singh, Shreya Goshal were dominating Pakistan's radio channels. Now, as per a report by Bollywood Shadis, the Pakistan Broadcasters Association (PBA) confirmed the decision on May 1.
Pakistan's Information Minister, Attaullah Tarar said in a note, " This decision demonstrates a strong sense of national solidarity on behalf of the PBA... I deeply appreciate the initiative of the PBA on its own, which upholds the dignity and sovereignty of the nation. This shows we all stand united in promoting national unity and supporting core values during such testing times. We acknowledge with pride the efforts of all media stakeholders who continue to act in the national interest and support government efforts directed towards promoting unity, peace, and patriotism."
While Hania's Instagram account is blocked in India, a report went viral which stated that the actress has personally sent a request to PM
Narendra Modi
to reconsider his decision. However, she has now stated that this is not true. "Recently, a statement has been falsely attributed to me and is being widely circulated on social media. I want to address this directly: I did not make this statement, and I do not endorse or align with the words being linked to me. It is entirely fabricated and misrepresents who I am and what I believe," she clarified.

He also said he acted 'just in case these foolish and inflammatory statements are more than just that. Words are very important, and can often lead to unintended consequences, I hope this will not be one of those instances.' Notably, Russia has done its fair share of nuclear saber-rattling in the past, including sending a nuclear-powered submarine and warships to Cuba, which is very close to the US coast. Kimball, the security expert, noted that the US has historically refrained from making threats regarding the use of its nuclear weapons. Trump's statements also come at a time when he is increasingly frustrated with Putin for not agreeing on a ceasefire with Ukraine, but McCain's Farkas noted that the nuclear sub deployment was unlikely to have any impact on Russia's course of action in the bordering country.
