Moment horror street brawl breaks out before driver runs over cyclist
Police made an arrest after a brutal street fight on the streets of London earlier today which was caught on video by a horrified onlooker. The footage starts with a man armed with a baseball bat approaching another man who suddenly charged him as he swung his fists, making him drop the brutal weapon with a loud clang and quickly scamper backwards.
The video then cut to the man who charged the other thug sitting on a bike attempting to escape. Before he can get away however he was run down by a black BMW, before getting to his knee before the footage stopped.
Some claimed the man who charged was holding a large knife, although it is not clear in the video which was uploaded and widely shared on X. It is unknown if anyone was injured in the shocking scenes in Islington, north London.
The person who shot the footage can be heard saying: 'It's crazy.'
A spokesperson for the Met Police said: "We were called at 11:37hrs on Saturday, 24 May to reports of a group of people fighting in Holloway Road, N19.
'Met officers responded and arrested a 38-year-old man on suspicion of being in possession of an offensive weapon. He remains in custody and there were no reports of any injuries.
"Our investigation is ongoing and anyone with information about the incident is asked to call 101 quoting CAD 3012/24May."
Camden Police added: 'We were called at 11:37hrs today to reports of a group of people fighting in Holloway Road, N19.
'Officers responded and arrested a 38-year-old man in connection with the incident. There were no reports of injuries.'
Earlier this year two men were seen having a fight on a packed bus on a busy high street as shocked passengers watched on. The pair were seen grappling with each other near the door.
One swung at his rival before he threw a punch back. The duo then continued to wrestle on the ground.
One customer could be seen trying to board the Number 222 service. Another filmed the ugly scenes on their mobile phone. It is unknown what triggered the fight.
The shocking incident happened on Monday March 10 as the bus headed to High Street, Uxbridge, west London. Some locals were shocked, but others didn't seem surprised by the brawl.
Vik Singh said: 'Madness.' Another added: 'Nothing to see here, just a normal day in London.' A third said: 'This country is going to s*ite.'

A Met Police counter terror firearms officer once named the bravest officer in England and Wales has been suspended after allegedly sexually assaulting a woman at a train station. Sergeant Stephen Brown, 47, is claimed to have sexually touched the woman without her consent at Biggleswade Railway Station on November 29 2019. The force said: 'We are aware that a serving Met officer has been charged with sexual assault following an alleged incident in November 2019. He is currently suspended.' Brown was previously the recipient of a national bravery award in 2014 after he tackled a samurai sword-wielding attacker. The knifeman repeatedly lunged at him with the weapon until the officer moved inside its arc and struck him with his metal baton. Ahla Timofei, then 26, dropped the sword and Sgt Brown leapt on top of him, holding him down until colleagues arrived. When they searched his rucksack they found a terrifying arsenal of weapons including a crossbow, mallet, machete and gas masks. Brown was named the overall winner of the Police Bravery Awards at a ceremony in Central London, recieving the award from then-head of the Met Commissioner Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe. Ex-Prime Minister Theresa May lauded the officer, saying his actions were 'a powerful reminder of the commitment and courage that police officers bring to their role'. Brown, of Sandy, Central Bedfordshire, appeared at Stevenage Magistrates Court in November, when he entered a plea of not guilty. He is set to appear at St Albans Crown court in September. British Transport Police, who charged Brown, said: 'Stephen Brown, aged 47, of Sandy, Bedfordshire, will appear at St Albans Crown Court on Monday 1 September charged with sexual assault. After his arrest, the convicted paedophile told the examining magistrates in Meaux: "I'm just a simple actor who took part in a film shoot". His dark past was soon uncovered as in 2016 Jhaj was found guilty of sexual activity with two 15-year-olds in Britain. The investigation into the fake wedding continues. Who is Jacky Jhaj? CONVICTED paedophile Jacky Jhaj, 39, has been previously jailed in the UK for child sex offences. He was on the run from British authorities at the time of the sick wedding stunt, French prosecutors say. The disgraced director and actor, from Feltham, was jailed in 2016 for four years after being found guilty on four counts of sexual activity with two 15-year-olds. Before his arrest, he drove around the streets of Hounslow, offering girls alcohol and claiming to be a Hollywood film producer. But the convicted paedophile has pulled a string of bizarre stunts since being released from jail. In September 2024, Jhaj staged an explosion using an old BBC truck and Union Jack-draped vehicles packed with explosives, filming himself naked as the blaze spiralled out of control behind him. The incident was reported to be a film production stunt. But it triggered panic, with hundreds of calls flooding emergency services as locals feared a terrorist attack. Residents were not warned beforehand and only found out afterwards through a post on the Borough of Greenwich's official Facebook page. A year before the explosion, footage surfaced of Jhaj mixing with around 200 children and 100 young women at a film shoot in London's Leicester Square. The shoot, which shows some of the children touching Jhaj, took place on October 17, 2023, the BBC revealed at the time.
