ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Summer 2025 officially begins on June 20, and if you are looking to get outdoors, there are plenty of events and activities available in Albuquerque.Free family-friendly events featuring live music, food and drink vendors, handcrafted items for sale, and other activities.
June 14: Heights Summerfest, North Domingo Baca Park, 5-10 p.m.
July 19: Route 66 Summerfest, Nob Hill, 5-10 p.m.
Aug. 2: Westside Summerfest, Ventana Ranch Community Park, 5-10 p.m.
Rail Yards Market
The Rail Yards Market features local vendors selling food, drinks, crafts, art, flowers, plants, and more.
May-October every Sunday: Albuquerque Rail Yard, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Downtown Growers' Market
Features local produce, handcrafted wellness products, art, hot prepared foods, music, and entertainment.
Now-Nov. 8 on Sundays: Robinson Park, 8 a.m.-noonPerformances by T.I., Lil Jon, Fat Joe, Ginuwine, Chingy, and the Ying Yang Twins. Booths selling tacos, nachos, margaritas, tequilas, beer, and more.
June 21: Balloon Fiesta Park, Noon to 10 p.m.
Summertime in Old Town 2025
Live music will be performed on the gazebo.
Now through July 26 at Old Town Plaza.
Fridays from 7-9 p.m., Saturdays from 1-3 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., and 1-3 p.m. on Sundays.
Freedom 4th
Celebrate Independence Day with fireworks and live music performances, including national headliner Hunter Hayes. Local vendors will be on site selling food and drinks.
July 4: Balloon Fiesta Park, 3 to 10 p.m.
Night Walks at the Botanic Garden
A guided tour through the Botanic Garden in search of night-blooming plants, nocturnal animals, and night pollinators.
July 8 and *Aug. 12: ABQ BioPark Botanic Garden, 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
*Aug. 12 event is adults only.Lavender bunches and products for sale alongside booths selling art, crafts, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and food. The event also features live music and educational activities and exhibits.
July 26: Balloon Fiesta Park, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Lavender plants, products, crafts and more at the 18th Lavender in the Village Festival

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The 2025 Lavender in the Village Festival will be July 26, from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Balloon Fiesta Park. The festival is a fundraising event produced by the Rio Grande Community Farm to help support its local agricultural programs. UNM outlines proposal for medical school expansion The festival is open to all ages and features over 120 different vendors of all things lavender. Vendor items include lavender plants, lavender products, fine art, local artisan crafts, foods, local wines, spirits, beer and more. Guests can also enjoy live music and learn some gardening tips and hear agricultural seminars. The event is family friendly and kids can participate in different activities and crafts. ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Hundreds of kids from around Albuquerque took to the stage for a youth-led talent show. Family and friends got to enjoy the choreographed dance routines and homemade costumes, all judged by some local celebrities. Albuquerque Reliques: A statue on Fourth honoring pioneer women The hosts of KRQE's New Mexico Living show, Monica Wicke and Logan Rader, were a part of the judging team.
