TXT's Creative Director Calls Out Plagiarism Issue With CRAVITY's New Concept Photos
In the creative industry, it's easy to take inspiration from dedicated artist who work hard to achieve their creative direction, and it's even easier to plagiarise them. When creating your own pieces, taking inspiration and blatantly copying another person's work walks a fine line, and if you're not careful, you might be labelled as a copycat.
Yesterday (19th June 2025), TXT's (투모로우바이투게더) creative director, known as Minchae, posted a series of her past projects featuring TXT's Beomgyu (최범규) more on her Instagram stories, which netizens have speculated to be a jab at CRAVITY's (크래비티) 'Dare To Crave' new concept photos. After all the uploads, the creative director then shared a photo of a coffee cup, overlaid with the caption: 'Authenticity & sincerity.'
It is known that the creative director behind CRAVITY's recent rebranding is also TXT's former visual director, who goes by the alias Rakta. After CRAVITY's 'Dare To Crave' concept photos were released on Tuesday (17th June 2025), netizens quickly pointed out striking similarities to the creative direction used in TXT Beomgyu's 'Panic' project, sparking major backlash and accusations of plagiarism.
Twitter user @/crvtty commented, 'Wow… so the creative team behind CRAVITY's rebranding and Dare To Crave concept is Rakta's team? She was TXT's visual director!' Others expressed disappointment over the apparent copying of concepts, while also defending CRAVITY from direct blame. Twitter user @/52amurak wrote, 'Using the same photographer doesn't mean you can just copy Beomgyu's idea. Panic is his story, and I don't see the link between a personal story and another boy group. TXT's previous art director, Rakta, is now working for CRAVITY, and she's disrespecting both TXT and her past work.'
Do you think the similarities were just coincidental or blatant plagiarism?

Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry have been engaged since February 2019 and have a four-year-old daughter. Photo: Katy Perry/Instagram After nine years together, American singer Katy Perry and British actor Orlando Bloom have parted ways. They have been engaged since February 2019 and have a four-year-old daughter. The 40-year-old singer of Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F) was first romantically linked to Bloom in January 2016, when they were seen at several Golden Globe after-parties together. They went public with their relationship on Instagram in May that year, after attending the Cannes Film Festival. They were set to wed in 2020, but their plans were foiled by the Covid-19 pandemic. Bloom, 48, recently appeared in Orlando Bloom: To The Edge (2024), which he executive-produced. The three-episode TV series sees him going on a journey of self-discovery through activities such as freediving and rock climbing. The Pirates Of The Caribbean (2003 to 2017) star also has a 14-year-old son with his ex-wife, Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr. Perry was previously married to British comedian Russell Brand between October 2010 and December 2011. Miley Cyrus blamed for dad Billy Ray's smoking habit on 'Hannah Montana' set
Miley Cyrus says she caught some flack for her dad's pot habit on the set of the Disney Channel series 'Hannah Montana'. Photo: TNS Miley Cyrus says she caught some flack for her dad's pot habit on the set of the Disney Channel series Hannah Montana . The Grammy winner, 32, shed some light on her child star days while appearing on Thursday's (June 19) episode of Sorry We're Cyrus , the podcast hosted by her mum, Tish, and big sister Brandi. Asked about an amusing 'core memory' from making the teen sitcom co-starring her father, Miley said: 'Dad smoking pot and everyone blaming me for it.' Tish said she remembered the drama, noting that once everyone realised it was actually Billy Ray toking on the set, people on the show kept calling her to say 'B-Ray was smoking pot.' She said she refused to believe it at the time, and tried blaming Miley's co-star Mitchel Musso instead. 'It was Mitchel Musso! It was both,' Miley replied with a laugh. During the episode, the famous family also addressed when Tish 'mysteriously' – as Miley teased – unfollowed her on Instagram last month, prompting speculation about the state of their relationship. Miley at the time dismissed the rumour mill, saying that though she 'rarely' bothers weighing in on the grapevine, her mum is her 'best friend' and the two 'are too tight for anything to ever come between us.' Much like Tish responded to one of her own followers, Cyrus said the move was a 'simple, coincidental and uninteresting' mistake, despite occurring just hours after Billy Ray broadcast how excited he was to see his daughter. They had their own dust-up in July 2024, when he apparently called Miley and Tish 'skanks' in texts and audio obtained by multiple outlets. About a year prior, Tish and youngest daughter Noah – who reportedly had a relationship with her new stepdad Dominic Purcell, before he wed her mum – put their own reported feud to bed. – New York Daily News

Bezos, Sanchez say 'I do' in a divided Venice
VENICE: Amazon tycoon Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez tied the knot Friday at a sumptuous ceremony with the rich and famous on an island in Venice's lagoon, out of the sight and sound of protesters. "This city seems impossible! It can't exist and yet, here it is!" an enchanted Bezos told a La Repubblica journalist Thursday, who got close to the magnate as he whizzed around the canals by boat. But protesters had a different view, questioning how long Venice can endure. While the billionaires party, activists argue the fragile city is sinking, overrun by tourists, and suffering from depopulation as locals, unable to pay soaring rents, are forced out. "No Kings, No Bezos," read a sign in green neon projected onto St Mark's Campanile tower on Thursday night. Sanchez, late Friday, posted a photo on Instagram – under a new name, laurensanchezbezos – showing her in a long, flowing white dress and him in black tie. The image did not indicate where it was taken. Bezos and Sanchez, a former news anchor and entertainment reporter, celebrated their nuptials with guests including Kim and Khloe Kardashian, Oprah Winfrey, and Orlando Bloom. The tech magnate, 61, and Sanchez, 55, are staying at the Aman hotel – a luxury 16th-century palazzo on the Grand Canal with a view of the Rialto Bridge. Other A-list guests are reportedly staying at the Gritti Palace and the St. Regis. The couple exchanged vows at a black-tie ceremony on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore Friday afternoon, according to Italian media reports. The wedding is believed to have taken place in a vast open-air amphitheatre on the island, which sits across from Venice's iconic St Mark's Square. The newlyweds were to be serenaded by Matteo Bocelli, son of the famed opera singer Andrea Bocelli, reports said. Michelin-starred chef Fabrizio Mellino prepared the wedding dinner, while the cake was crafted by French pastry chef Cedric Grolet, according to Corriere della Sera. Sanchez is said to have prepared 27 outfits for the festivities. Wedding guests snapped by paparazzi as they hopped into boats included Jordan's Queen Rania, French luxury goods executive Francois-Henri Pinault, American football player Tom Brady, US fashion designer Spencer Antle, singer Usher, and Ivanka Trump – daughter of US President Donald Trump – along with her husband Jared Kushner. Guests reportedly lunched Thursday in the gardens of Villa Baslini, on the islet of San Giovanni Evangelista. The celebrations are set to conclude Saturday, with a party likely to be held at the Arsenale – a vast shipyard complex dating back to the city's naval heyday. Bezos and Sanchez are donating three million euros (US$3.5 million) to the city, according to Veneto's regional president Luca Zaia, and are employing historic Venetian artisans. Venice's oldest pastry maker, Rosa Salva, is baking 19th-century "fishermen's biscuits" for party bags, which will also include items by Laguna B – renowned for its handblown Murano glass. Trump and her family visited a glass-blowing workshop on the small island of Murano on Wednesday, according to the owner. "They were amazed and enchanted by the magic of glass," said Massimiliano Schiavon to Corriere della Sera, adding that the family even had a go at blowing glass themselves. Venice – home to the oldest film festival in the world – is no stranger to VIPs whizzing around in speed boats, and it famously hosted the star-studded nuptials of Hollywood actor George Clooney in 2014. Some say this wedding, too, brings good business. Italy's tourism ministry said Friday it expects the wedding to bring the city nearly one billion euros, with about 895 million of that estimated to come from the "media visibility" generated. But critics argue Bezos – one of the world's richest men and founder of a company regularly scrutinised for its treatment of workers – is a different case. "Tax Billionaires," read protest signs along the canals. "In the time it takes you to read this, Jeff Bezos's wealth has increased by more than your monthly salary," the signs read in English and Italian. Environmental activists have also pointed to the carbon footprint of the mega yachts and the dozens of private jets – at least 95 – that brought the rich and famous to the city. Still, not everyone is complaining. Samuel Silvestri, a 55-year-old salesman, welcomed the extravaganza. "Over-tourism is caused by those people who come with a backpack and their own food, and contribute very little," he said. "Not those who transform Venice into a mini-Monte Carlo. This marriage helps the image of the city." Italy's health ministry has issued a red heat alert for Venice for the weekend, part of a heatwave affecting much of southern Europe.
