The French-Malian started out in the fourth tier of Italy for Team Altamura after struggling to make his way in French football.
But his performances last season for Yverdon Sport caught the eye.
His former manager Paolo Tramezzani, now at AEL Limassol, told Swiss outlet Blick in March: "Moussa is a very surprising player, who can play in all midfield positions, who has great stamina. He has rare qualities."
Baradji, who operates as a central and defensive midfielder as well as a right winger, played 27 times in the Swiss Super League last season, scoring four goals and making three assists.

One of his goals was a crucial strike in the 96th minute against Winterthur, where he rifled in a left foot effort from 20 yards to give his side a vital 2-1 win.
That kept their hopes of survival alive but, despite victory on the last day of the season against Zurich, they were relegated.
And it is claimed that could pave the way for Baradji to leave the club this summer.
Africa Foot are reporting Celtic are among the clubs interested in securing the signature of a player described as a 'box-to-box midfielder'.

But they face competition from Premier League new boys Sunderland who, according to the report, have contacted the 24-year-old's representatives.
It is claimed Fiorentina, Torino and Parma in Italy have also shown interest as well as Swiss outfit Basel and Turkish giants Galatasaray.

It's believed a bid of around £2.5million could be enough to entice the club to sell the French-Malian midfielder, who has one year left on his contract.
Meanwhile, Celtic winger Nicolas Kuhn is seemingly edging closer to the door at Celtic Park.

The 25-year-old has been attracting interest from RB Leipzig after a stunning season and SunSport believes they are lining up a bid of around £15million.

Mikel Arteta accused of making Arsenal transfer mistake with £45m star

William Gallas has accused Mikel Arteta and Arsenal of making a potentially costly transfer mistake. The Premier League runners-up have been one of the more subdued clubs during the summer transfer window and are yet to make any signings. Arsenal are, however, set to welcome three new players to the Emirates Stadium in Martin Zubimendi, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Christian Norgaard. In terms of outgoings, Jorginho and Kieran Tierney have left on free transfers and Raheem Sterling has returned to Chelsea following his dismal loan spell. Thomas Partey also looks set to leave the club and Gallas believes it would be a mistake for Arsenal not to keep him at the Emirates Stadium. Wake up to find news on your club in your inbox every morning with Metro's Football Newsletter. The Ghana international held talks over a contract extension following arguably his best season with Arsenal but is yet to reach an agreement with the Gunners. Reports claim Partey has now decided to leave, given his current contract expires next week and he has attracted interest from several European clubs. Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Juventus have expressed interest in signing Partey, who has made 167 appearances for Arsenal since his £45m move from Atletico in 2020. 'I think with his quality, he could stay at Arsenal,' Gallas told Genting Casino. 'With what he has offered to the club over the last few years, he can easily stay. 'And with their depth right now, I think it is best to add, not replace. I'm not sure of the reasons why he might leave, but I'm not sure it would be the best thing if he left.' The signings of Zubimendi and Norgaard will compensate for Jorginho and Partey's departures from Arsenal. After signing those two midfielders and Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa, Arteta will prioritise a deal for a new striker, with Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko high on his wishlist. 'Arsenal have been looking for a striker for, I don't know exactly how long, but a top class striker should have arrived at Arsenal two or three years ago,' Gallas added. 'They didn't sign one. They obviously didn't think it was that important to add a top class striker. 'And I think that, when you look at their season, unfortunately, they didn't want the Premier League badly enough on a couple of occasions where they came close – last season, and also two years ago. 'They didn't want it enough to go and add that last missing piece of the puzzle. So now they are being linked with strikers again, just like they were in January. 'I hope they do get one of the strikers they want, because I hope they want the same thing every fan wants, which is to win the Premier League next season. More Trending 'If they want to have a chance at winning the league next season, for me, it depends on if they go and sign a striker who knows the Premier League very well and has proven they can score the right amount of goals at the top level. 'And I think the only player who fits that description right now is Alexander Isak. 'I know it will cost a lot of money, but he constantly scores more than 20 goals and seems to keep improving each year in the Premier League. 'So Arsenal should break the bank for him. He is the last piece of the puzzle, I feel, a perfect striker.' For more stories like this, check our sport page. Follow Metro Sport for the latest news on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Chelsea receive glowing Jamie Gittens reference as transfer agreement reached

INTERVIEW: Former England U19 head coach Ian Foster worked with Jamie Gittens during his time in charge of the young Three Lions and he believed the 20-year-old winger is ready to light up the Premier League for Chelsea Jamie Gittens has long strived to emulate the achievements of idol Jadon Sancho. Now a £55million transfer agreement has been struck between Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund, the 20-year-old winger will be tasked with replacing his compatriot and former team-mate at Stamford Bridge. ‌ Gittens, who flourished within boyhood club Reading's academy setup before later moving to Manchester City, has already verbally agreed a seven-year contract with the Blues. ‌ Ex-England U19 head coach Ian Foster is under no illusions that Enzo Maresca's Conference League winners would be acquiring an attacking gem, explaining: "It's no surprise to see that a club the size of Chelsea are in for Jamie. "He was a quiet boy but a joy to work with, really humble, open-minded and always up for the challenge. Jamie is a player that would never get disheartened if he wasn't getting success. "He's going to be up against some of the world's best full-backs in the Premier League next season and if he's having a tough time, he won't go missing. In fact, it will have the reverse effect, it will actually excite him. "I think he'd be a wonderful addition to the Premier League, he's got a vast amount of technical ability, skill plus the mindset to continue achieving great things." Gittens, who previously had a very brief spell with Chelsea's U9s, was part of Foster's young Three Lions side that won the U19 European Championships in 2022. The triumph did not come without struggle for the silky dribbler, however, in the view of Foster, the experience was living proof that fearless speedster Gittens possessed the tools to succeed at the highest level. ‌ He revealed: "I was aware of Jamie from a young age, he was a Reading boy before the big move to City. When he made the brave decision to join Dortmund, he almost looked to follow in the footsteps of Jadon and that showed what type of character he is. "It was clear he had huge self-belief, I went to Germany to watch Jamie as he wasn't part of the squad until the finals because he was a 2004-born player. ‌ "I still remember his first training session vividly, sometimes the best reaction you can get is from your peers. The lads were almost laughing at his ability to glide past defenders, his calmness in the final third and level-headedness in hectic situations. "But Jamie had issues with his shoulders, he suffered a dislocation in training and later came off the bench against Italy in the semi-finals as it popped out again following a strong tackle. "I was so desperate for him to play and thankfully, he could start the final before undergoing surgery which has now fixed the problem." ‌ Gittens, who became the youngest English goalscorer to net against Real Madrid last October in the Champions League, has played just 13 minutes at the Club World Cup as Chelsea hone in on a transfer. While there is an element of frustration that the big-spending Blues were unable to strike a deal before the start of the tournament, there was always confidence they would be able to fend off strong late interest from Bayern Munich. ‌ Foster insists it's a major shame that Gittens, who also snubbed Arsenal when leaving home for City in 2018, was unable to feature for England U21s at the European Championships as he would have undoubtedly had a key role to play on the pathway to glory in Slovakia. He concluded: "It would have been a great opportunity for Jamie but he's already got a wealth of experience in Germany and in the Champions League. He's only a baby really in terms of his age but he'd still be such an exciting acquisition for Chelsea." Join our new WhatsApp community!
