Jay-Z Joins Beyoncé Onstage In Paris & Removes Kanye's Name In Lyrics
Beyoncé fans know to sometimes expect surprises from the superstar, such as dropping her self-titled album with no promotion in 2013, discussing her struggles with her husband's infidelity openly on Lemonade in 2016, and appearing alongside Channing Tatum on Lip Sync Battle. But even diehard Bey fans weren't ready for Jay-Z popping up at the end of her Cowboy Carter tour shows in Paris.
Near the end of the last show of B's three-night stand in the city Jay Z and Kanye paid homage to in 'N-ggas in Paris,' Jay came onstage to perform. Though the power couple have done an album and two tours – On the Run and On the Run II – together, Jay stayed behind the scenes on Beyoncé's last tour, Renaissance.
But maybe the hip-hop mogul wanted to support his wife on this one, perhaps he missed the stage, or just wanted a chance to perform 'NIP' again, though obviously without Kanye West. In 2011, the two were tight enough to record an entire album, Watch The Throne, but their friendship is now irreparable after multiple things West has said and tweeted about the power couple. Most recently, West tweeted and then deleted nasty comments about the couple's youngest children, Rumi and Sir.
Jay came out to thunderous applause from the sold-out crowd at Le Stade in Paris. He and Bey did 'Crazy in Love' then went into a rendition of 'Drunk in Love' with 'Partition', and then Jay finished up with 'N-ggas in Paris,' as the crowd rapped along.
He was even accused of switching Kanye West's name in the lyrics, switching them from 'Just might let you meet Ye,' to 'Just might let you meet Bey.' You can watch the song's performance below.
Beyoncé returns to the states for two shows in Houston on June 28 and 29, with several more dates in Maryland and Atlanta before wrapping up the tour in Las Vegas at the end of July.

Watch Miley Cyrus and Beyoncé Perform ‘II Most Wanted' for the First Time
Miley Cyrus joined Beyoncé onstage at the Stade de France in Paris on Thursday night for the live premiere of 'II Most Wanted.' The two friends, both dressed in shimmering gold outfits, held hands as they belted the duet to throngs of screaming fans. Though this marks the first guest on the Cowboy Carter tour, the appearance wasn't entirely a surprise — Cyrus, who was in France for Spotify's Billions Club Live — had been seen at soundcheck before the show. The duet originally appeared on Cowboy Carter, and this performance was the first time Beyoncé had performed it on the tour, which launched in Los Angeles in April and is set to run through July 26. Eighties Hip-Hop Great Slick Rick Is Back With 'Victory' Miley Cyrus on How She Fixed Her 'Messy' Family Relationships After 'Dark' Decade 'To be beside such a humble, gracious, legendary DIVA was a dream come true,' Cyrus shared on X after the performance. 'Thank you for the opportunity to perform in Paris together & sing our song about friendship. To have learned from you & loved you my whole life, & then be standing together in matching gold looks is more than I could've imagined. As the finale to this trip supporting Something Beautiful, to close on something as beautiful as a stadium full of people singing '2 Most Wanted' with us was the ultimate firework.' She added, 'Thank you B. I'll be your shotgun rider for life. Big gratitude to the Cowboy Carter tour crew, you all were incredible for making this happen. Forever and always.' The track, co-written by the two artists, ended up on Beyoncé's country album after the 'Crazy in Love' singer hit Cyrus up to see if she might want to contribute. 'I wrote that song, like, two and a half years ago,' Cyrus told W magazine last year. 'My mom would always go, 'I love that song so much.' So when Beyoncé reached out to me about music, I thought of it right away because it really encompasses our relationship. I told her, 'We don't have to get country; we are country. We've been country.' I said, 'You know, between you being from Texas and me being from Tennessee, so much of us is going to be in this song.' Getting to write a song, not just sing, for Beyoncé was a dream come true.'' Judge Denies Bail for Sean 'Diddy' Combs Following Guilty Verdict in Federal Trial
Source: Variety / Getty Sean 'Diddy' Combs will remain behind bars after a federal judge denied him bail Tuesday, just hours after a jury found the music mogul guilty on two federal charges related to transporting women across state lines for illegal sexual activity. Judge Arun Subramanian ruled against Combs' release as concerns mounted from victims' advocates about the safety of witnesses and alleged survivors connected to the case. The decision came shortly after a partial guilty verdict was delivered in the high-profile trial that has gripped the entertainment industry for months. A New York federal jury convicted Combs on Count 3 and Count 5, both violations of the Mann Act, for transporting two women, including singer Casandra 'Cassie' Ventura and another former girlfriend referred to as 'Jane,' across state lines for illicit purposes. However, the jury acquitted Combs on three other charges, including the most serious: Count 1, racketeering conspiracy. He was also found not guilty of sex trafficking allegations tied to both women. The mixed verdict followed over 14 hours of deliberation and concluded a seven-week trial marked by explosive testimony. More than 30 witnesses, including former staff, industry insiders, and alleged victims, detailed a disturbing pattern of abuse, coercion, and systemic coverups that prosecutors claimed were orchestrated from within Combs' inner circle. Despite his acquittal on racketeering and sex trafficking counts, the Mann Act convictions carry serious legal consequences and could result in a significant prison sentence. Victims' rights attorney Gloria Allred weighed in on the ruling during an interview with CNN, applauding the judge's decision to deny bail and highlighting broader concerns about witness safety. 'I am very concerned about Mr. Combs being released on bail,' Allred said. 'Some of [the potential witnesses] were on the witness list turned over to the defense but have not been made public. They overcame a lot of fear just to speak to law enforcement and tell the truth. And they were very much afraid.' Allred stressed that the fear and trauma these individuals have faced should not be underestimated, especially now that Combs' legal fate is in the hands of the court. Combs, 55, remains in federal custody as sentencing preparations begin. Sentencing has been set for Oct. 3 at 10 a.m. SEE ALSO Judge Denies Bail for Sean 'Diddy' Combs Following Guilty Verdict in Federal Trial was originally published on
