Reema Lagoo's ex-husband, actor Vivek Lagoo, passes away at the age of 74, daughter posts emotional message
The couple is survived by their daughter, Mrunmaeyee Lagoo, who has made a name and space for herself in the film industry. In an emotional post on Instagram, she paid tribute to her father and wrote, 'We fought together long and hard, but now it's time to say goodbye with love and gratitude. MY DAD! My best friend, my guide, my number one fan and the voice in my head… I will miss you… the best dad a girl can have.' She has served as a writer for the film Thappad (2020) and the popular Netflix series Scoop (2023).

Vivek and Reema bumped into each other at a bank in 1976, and the two got married just two years later. Both shared a mutual love for films and theatre. Vivek was a prominent figure in the theatre and film sphere of both Marathi and Hindi and worked on several Hindi projects such as Ugly (2013), What About Savarkar (2015), Godavari Ne Kay Kele (2010), and 31 Divas (2018). Reema made a name for herself with iconic roles in films like Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003), Hum Aapke Hain Koun (1994), and Hum Saath Saath Hain (1999).
Vivek's last rites are being held at the same spot where Reema's funeral took place in 2017. The actor had reportedly complained of chest pain before being rushed to the hospital by her daughter and son-in-law. She suffered a heart attack and passed away that same night.
