Luke Littler hits the wire after failing driving theory test for fourth time
The 18-year-old has driven darts to a new level following his emergence on to the world scene 18 months ago, but he will not be getting behind the wheel any time soon after suffering more misery in the exam room.
Littler revealed he had failed his theory test – a requirement before anyone can take a practical exam – for a fourth time on Wednesday.

He scored 45 out of 50 on the multiple choice section, which was enough to pass, but only scored 41 out of 75 on the hazard perception, two short of the required mark.
He posted a picture of his exam report on his Instagram story, with the caption '4th time and counting' accompanied by a 'green feeling unwell' emoji.
Littler, who was a World Championship finalist before he was even old enough to take driving lessons, will have to quickly put his disappointment behind him as he prepares for the World Matchplay, which starts in Blackpool this weekend.
Littler, chasing the title for the first time, takes on Ryan Searle in the first round on Sunday.

2025 Betfred World Matchplay: Full schedule as Luke Humphries makes defence
World No.1 looking for back-to-back glory in Blackpool Champ Luke Humphries is chasing back-to-back titles in the showpiece 2025 Betfred World Matchplay. The latest edition of the £800,000 darts event will see the reigning king headline a star-studded 32-player field at Blackpool's Winter Gardens, which also includes seven other World Champions. Luke Littler, Michael van Gerwen and Gerwyn Price will also be amongst the stars in action at the Empress Ballroom across nine days of action from July 19-27. The first round will see the world's top 16 pitted against the top 16 qualifiers from the one-year ProTour Rankings, with Humphries set to take on World Youth Champion Gian van Veen in a fascinating clash. Humphries succeeded Nathan Aspinall in becoming World Matchplay champion 12 months ago and the Stockport star opens his title challenge against Dutch debutant Wessel Nijman on a bumper opening night in Blackpool. 2007 champion James Wade will play former Masters champion Joe Cullen in the tournament's opening clash, while 2022 semi-finalist Danny Noppert meets debutant Cameron Menzies in Saturday's other contest. Sunday's bumper double session will see former World Matchplay winners Rob Cross, Peter Wright and Gary Anderson in action as World Champion Littler sets his sights on a first victory on the iconic Blackpool stage. England captain George Williams says Ashes test is ‘huge' and that he's been ‘waiting a long time' for Australia clash
ENGLAND captain George Williams has emphasised the magnitude of the Rugby League Ashes ahead of the series in October. The international skipper admitted he's feeling the nerves ahead of a huge test against the best side in the world. 4 4 4 The 30-year-old half back, who plays for Luke Littler's favourite team Warrington Wolves, still cannot wait to get going in 100 days' time. Williams told SunSport: "These are the ones you want to be involved in. "Playing at Wembley, playing for your country against the best, or what is known as the best team in the world. "Pretty easy to be excited for this one." 'The group has got belief' Australia are currently ranked as the No 1 side in international Rugby League, but that has not put England off, with Williams saying: "we have got belief. "We've been building for a couple of years now, so the group has got belief. "We know what we've been doing works, don't get me wrong, we know we're going to have to be better if we're going to beat them [Australia]. "In a good way, just use that as fuel to motivate me. "It's a big occasion, so a little bit of nerves. "You could say it's any other game, but it's not, it's bigger, it's huge, it's something that we've been waiting for for a long time." 'Any win will do' When asked if he would give anyone who may not have played on a stage this big some advice, Williams said: "enjoy it. "Playing for England is the pinnacle, so any chance you get, do it with a smile on your face. "I'd say express yourself, don't go in your shell, nothing major, do what you've been doing to get here. "It just goes up a little level when you play international." Williams was quietly optimistic about a series win, saying: "I'd like to say 3-0. "Being honest, a 2-1 win I'll take, any win will do. "Any series win will do, whether that's 2-1 or 3-0, so I'll go 2-1." England are set to clash Australia in the Rugby League Ashes in October this year, with the first test taking place at Wembley Stadium.
