Operation Sindhoor
, the beating retreat ceremony or lowering of flags at
Wagah-Attari
, Hussainiwala, and Sadqi Joint Check Posts of the
Border Security Force
(BSF) was stopped on May 9. However, with the easing of tensions between India and Pakistan, the Retreat ceremony is likely to resume from Tuesday.
According to the information, after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, a war-like situation arose between India and Pakistan, and the Retreat ceremony at Wagah-Attari in Amritsar, Hussainiwala in Ferozepur, and Sadqi Chowki on the

in Fazilka was suspended.
Now, in view of the gradually decreasing tension between India and Pakistan, it has been decided to restart the Retreat ceremony held at these three Joint Check Posts on the international border from Tuesday at 6 pm. Anumit Singh Heera Sodhi, a prominent youth BJP leader of the area, said that people should come in large numbers to witness the Retreat ceremony, show their
patriotic spirit
and motivate the Border Security Force (BSF) personnel by extending their good wishes.

Congress government in Karnataka created ‘urea crisis' to blame Centre: BJP

BJP Mysuru district president K.N. Subbanna on Tuesday blamed the Congress government for the urea shortage in Karnataka, and said that MPs and Ministers from the State belonging to the BJP are making efforts to get additional stocks of urea from the Centre to meet the demand. 'Our MPs met the Union Agriculture Minister and urged him to supply urea to the State to meet the increasing demand,' Mr. Subanna said at a press conference here. He said that 8,37,000 MT of fertilisers was supplied to the State so far this year and 6,30,000 MT of fertilisers had been distributed to farmers. 'The Congress government created the urea crisis and blamed the BJP government at the Centre for the shortage to put the latter in a spot,' he alleged. Accusing the Congress government of practising 'anti-farmer' and 'anti-people' policies, he said that the cost of sowing seeds has gone up by 20% and the incentive of ₹4,000 which was transferred directly to farmers' bank accounts when B.S. Yediyurappa was the Chief Minister was stopped. Vidya Nidhi scholarships for farmers' children were been discontinued, which highlights the Congress government's 'anti-farmer' policies, he said. He lashed out at the State government for imposing tax on small traders and vendors which was withdrawn after public backlash. 'The Congress tried to blame the Centre over GST notices to the traders but later realised its fault, and withdrew the notices,' he claimed. Blaming the Congress government for the failure of law and order, he said that the police failed to unearth a narcotic drug manufacturing facility in Mysuru city, and added that the Maharashtra police busted the facility after a raid on its premises close to Outer Ring Road under N.R. police station limits.
