Crook wearing blue forensic gloves raids Scots restaurant offices for cash
This is the moment an Edinburgh restaurant was targeted by a crook who allegedly 'broke in and stole cash' whilst wearing blue forensic gloves.
CCTV clips have captured the man who broke into The Ranch in Sighthill at around 6am on Sunday, May 25.
The hooded figure can be seen rummaging through the office of the diner. He is also carrying a black backpack. Another CCTV still shows the back of the man as he rifles through a drawer.
As Edinburgh Live reports, the restaurant shared an appeal for information to help them identify the brazen crook.
Furious residents branded the man a "low life," as they reacted to the post.
Posting online, The Torfin said: "This lovely gentlemen broke into our sister restaurant The Ranch the other day. We know one of our amazing followers will recognise this face.
"Hit us up with names that we can hand over to the police and we will reward for any successful information!"

Young girl forced to call 999 after getting trapped in primary school
The pupil found herself locked inside the school in for hours after dozing off - and had to call the emergency services to get out. A young pupil was forced to call 999 to escape after getting trapped inside her primary school for hours after lessons ended. The girl, who had dozed off and was missed by staff, was eventually freed by firefighters through a toilet window. The Year 6 pupil, thought to be around 11 years old, was unharmed during the ordeal. She is believed to have found a landline phone within the school and rang the police more than five hours later. The pupil was freed 20 minutes later when the police enlisted the help of the fire service, which dispatched a fire engine to the building. Briscoe Lane Academy in Newton Heath, Manchester, confirmed in a statement it was treating the incident on Tuesday with utmost seriousness and has reported it to the council, the Mirror reports. It is understood the girl had permission to walk home after school. It remains unclear whether she was reported missing at the time. A parent of another student at the school claimed that families have been left "shaken" by the news. They said: "We send our children to school trusting they'll be safe, accounted for and cared for. That trust has been broken." The concerned parent called for a "full and independent" investigation and added: "The school's end-of-day procedures clearly require an immediate overhaul. This isn't about finger-pointing, it's about ensuring something like this can never happen again." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Greater Manchester Police said it responded to the school following a distress call from the girl at around 9pm, with the child being safely retrieved approximately 20 minutes later without any injuries. The Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service also confirmed dispatching a fire engine from Philips Park station to Briscoe Lane at around 9pm upon police request, where they facilitated "a child out of a locked building through a window", subsequently placing her in the care of the police. The school has reported the incident to Manchester council via its local authority designated officer, stating that no Ofsted referral was necessary and that no further action ensued. A spokesperson for the school said: "Out of respect for the privacy of all involved, we are unable to comment on the individual circumstances of this very sensitive matter which we are treating extremely seriously. "However, we want to reassure everyone that we work very closely with families, safeguarding partners and other relevant agencies to ensure every child has the support they need, both in and out of the classroom. Our priority remains the welfare, safety and well-being of all pupils."

The smoking gun needed to take down John uncovered by Robert in Emmerdale twist
Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) has uncovered a huge piece of information that proves Owen Michaels (Simon Haines) did not kill Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) in Emmerdale. Of course, we know he didn't, but the residents believe he did after DS Walsh found a note on his laptop confirming to the murder. This discovery was made at the same time Walsh and Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) found Owen dead. It looked as though he had ended his life, but John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) let him die after finding him unconscious last week. With the so-called developments now village gossip, Robert grew suspicious yesterday when Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) mentioned Owen planting Nate's phone in Frankie's playhouse. He though it was unbelievably strange for Owen to do this, and wondered why he'd take such a risk – surely you'd just lay low? With this in his mind, Robert was given another reason to grow curious about his brother in tonight's episode, when Claudette (Flo Wilson) said that John visited Owen before he died. A theory being fuelled, Robert was then seen outside Mill Cottage, watching John in his van. The medic was emptying a very full sharps bin into a cardboard box. Robert couldn't understand why John would have so many medical items in his van – but made a mistake by not following John to the scrapyard. There, John poured the sharps bin contents into a metal container and set fire to it. He was caught by Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller), but managed to create a cover story by saying he needed to dispose of them for the surgery, and cut corners so they could get on the road for their camping trip quicker. While this was happening, Robert was busy making contact with Owen's brother. Outside The Hide, Steve wasn't really in any mood to talk about Owen. Let's not forget this man spiked Robert a few weeks ago – he was hardly a pillar of the community. Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? Who's leaving Coronation Street? But Robert needed information to back up his thoughts on John. Eventually, Steve confirmed that he was with Owen the day Nate was killed – and they were in Hull. More Trending This was massive. It was proof that Owen did not kill Nate but the problem? Steve didn't want to tell the police. This was because the job the siblings were doing in Hull was apparently something the police didn't need to know about. Because of this, Steve walked away, not wanting to get involved.
