The moment was captured by a Camp Mystic nurse as the group was driven to safety
Ten campers and one counselor are still unaccounted for while search efforts continue as of Monday, July 7, authorities said in a news conferenceAs they were evacuated from the devastation at Camp Mystic, a Christian girls' camp nestled in Texas Hill Country, one busload of young campers came together in song.
On Friday, July 4, the waters of the Guadalupe River rose swiftly and the camp faced deadly flooding that ravaged central Texas and claimed the lives of multiple girls and their counselors during the annual summertime retreat, PEOPLE previously reported.
In a video taken Friday by Camp Mystic nurse Devon Paige Williams and shared with CNN, the campers can be heard singing a worship song as they're driven past downed trees and emergency workers. On their way to safety, the girls appeared to break into a rendition of "Pass It On," which according to the outlet, is a classic among attendees.
"I'll shout it from the mountain top, I want my world to know, the Lord of love has come to me, I want to pass it on," they sang in unison.
On Monday, Camp Mystic shared a statement mourning the lives that had been lost.
