The sun is out, which means our bronze game is on – and we don't just mean how strong are the tan lines, but how much bronzer we can wear to look naturally sunkissed, and then some.
You may have heard the term 'blusher blindness', which is when people apply lashings of rouge to their cheeks it's obvious they are wearing make-up. Well, we have that but with bronzer. We can't get enough of it.
When I first started dabbling into the world of beauty as a teenager, my first go-to was bronzer, which was described to me as 'the JLo glow', and the phrase has stuck with me ever since.
From matte to shimmer, powder, stick to liquid and cream bronzers, we have tried (and loved) them all. However, there is one standout formula that has recently topped the charts. According to John Lewis, searches for 'cream bronzer' are up by 114% in the last week alone, which speaks volumes.
Now we know what you're probably thinking. Cream bronzer can smudge, melt off, drip, and is not the most longlasting, or you may be thinking it will leave you with dark streaks on your cheeks and a glaring contrast to your natural skin. But you'd be wrong. Cream bronzer has come a long way since the hey days of Maybelline's Dream Matte Mousse. More Trending
But a cream bronzer is not to be confused with a liquid bronzer or stick bronzer, though they all have their place and purpose in our make-up arsenal. A cream bronzer is slightly more dense than a lightweight liquid bronzer, such as Glossier's Cloud Paint. We would say a cream bronzer is a hybrid of a stick, liquid and powder bronzer in one.
As bronzer aficionados we have tried and tested a whole host of cream bronzers and whittled down our absolute ride or die cream bronzers.
Whether you apply with your finger tips, buff into the skin with a brush or beauty blender is entirely up to you.

Emmerdale confirms another death as killer John strikes again

Emmerdale's latest killer John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) really is a tortured soul, isn't he? Unlike your average psychopath he doesn't get any pleasure from killing. In fact what he'd rather do would be to save lives all day long and bask in the admiration of others. Unfortunately, with one mess rapidly leading to another, he's ended up having blood on his hands on numerous occasions – and he's about to add another victim to the list. Since the body of Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) was found in the lake, John has been pained to see various villagers accusing each other of Nate's murder, because he knows he was the one responsible after accidentally killing Nate while trying to save his life after the barn fire. Nate's widow, Tracy (Amy Walsh), immediately blamed Cain (Jeff Hordley), who had beaten his son up shortly before Nate disappeared because he thought something was going on between him and Moira (Natalie J Robb). Cain blamed Tracy, and this seemed to have been confirmed when Nate's phone was found at Tracy's house, having been used during Nate's absence when Cain thought he was ringing his son. John had had the phone all along and planted it at Tracy's. As Nate's funeral looms in coming episodes, John is wracked with guilt that the two people who loved Nate the most are being torn apart by accusations and recriminations. So when an opportunity presents itself to put someone altogether different in the frame for the murder, John decides he can fix things, John style. By killing someone else. He's surprised when a man called Owen comes for an appointment with him at the surgery, because Owen is none other than the man John caught spiking Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley)'s drink. He throws Owen out of the surgery and this is witnessed by Robert, who thanks him for standing up for him – though Robert is still obviously wary of John generally. Later, Liam (Jonny McPherson) makes a house call to Owen, but he can't get an answer. Concerned for his patient's wellbeing, he calls the police, who break into the house and find Owen dead. More Trending And on the dead man's laptop is a written confession, saying that Owen was responsible for murdering Nate Robinson. Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? Cain and Tracy are soon informed of this development, and Liam gives the news to John back at the surgery. John manages to look suitably shocked, but is inwardly pleased that his plan has worked. But has it? One man who isn't taken in by this turn of events is Robert Sugden, who is suspicious about the coincidence that he saw John with Owen earlier. When the police start digging into Owen's background by investigating his medical history, Robert tries to find out more and Claudette (Flo Wilson) lets slip that John visited Owen's house shortly before his death. Corrie's Carla shows her support for Lisa amid therapy - but a shock follows

Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers)'s current troubled state of mind in Coronation Street goes back to the death of her wife, Becky, who was also a police officer. The death of PC Craig Tinker (Colson Smith), who was killed while on duty, was especially hard for Lisa to deal with as it had echoes of Becky's death. She died while she was chasing a suspect when she was mown down by a getaway car. Lisa's grief was compounded by the fact that Becky had been under investigation by the police force's anti-corruption unit just before her death and this had put a strain on the relationship. In fact they'd had a huge argument on the day that Becky was killed, something that Lisa deeply regretted later as she never had a chance to apologise and make amends for the things she'd said. Craig's funeral, in which his colleagues and loved ones paid their respects, also made Lisa realise that the cloud of suspicion over Becky at the time of her death had meant she was denied the send-off she deserved. Carla (Alison King) persuaded Lisa that therapy could help her move on from these events. Although sceptical, Lisa gave it a try but was immediately on the defensive when the therapist broached the subject of Becky. In upcoming episodes there's an unsettling incident for Lisa when she witnesses a robbery at the Corner Shop and, rather than springing into action, she freezes. She later refuses to talk about this with Carla, who's puzzled by her actions. Wanting to be supportive, Carla encourages Lisa to continue with therapy, saying that she'll feel much better after a few more sessions. Lisa isn't convinced, but hopes that Carla is right. EastEnders pregnancy story confirmed as teen is left reeling

The floor falls from beneath Avani Nandra-Hart's (Aaliyah James) feet in EastEnders next week, when she discovers she's pregnant. It simply couldn't come at a worse time for the teen, as her family are at the centre of multiple dramas. Firstly, her father Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) has lost a whopping £50,000 worth of drugs when Kojo Asare (Dayo Koleosho) flushed them down the loo. Harry Mitchell (Elijah Holloway) covered his colleague's tracks, staging a break in with mum Nicola (Laura Doddington). He then offered use of his nightclub to Avani for her 16th birthday, but it was clear that he wasn't off the hook yet. Then there's the fact Avani's aunty Ash (Gurlaine Kaur Garcha) is newly engaged, and has decided to conceal the information from the Panesar clan. Suki (Balvinder Sopal) was devastated to learn the news through social media, and in upcoming scenes, snaps at her son Vinny (Shiv Jalota) when he mentions the news. The matter only escalates when she discovers that he's secretly planning to attend their engagement party. As a row breaks out amongst the two, they have no idea that Avani is elsewhere, feeling very troubled. She realises that her parents Ravi and Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) are preoccupied, and sneaks off to meet best mate Barney Mitchell (Lewis Bridgeman) for his advice. At the nightclub, Avani takes a pregnancy test and is horrified to realise it's pregnant. As viewers will recall, she recently lost her virginity with twisted Joel Marshall (Max Murray), who filmed them sleeping together without her knowledge. Is he the father? Before she can digest the life-changing situation, Nicola tips off Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) to a dodgy deal, leading to Ravi's arrest. The police swarm his house, and he remains tight-lipped during the questioning. Priya quickly enlists Harry and Kojo to move some drugs away from one of Ravi's properties. Later, Avani goes to attempt telling her mother about her pregnancy, but hesitates. It's not until the next day when she scrolls through a planning website that the revelation comes to light. More Trending Suki has seen her, and wants to know what's going on. Avani reveals all, and also states that she's planning to have an abortion. Before any advice can be given, Suki is distracted by Vinny leaving for Ash's engagement, and instead goes to speak with the Granthi about what she's learnt. Avani turns to Barney for a shoulder to cry on and explains her reasoning for not keeping the baby. View More » How will Ravi and Priya react, and what will Avani do?
