Kristin Cabot resigns from Astronomer after Coldplay kiss-cam scandal, company confirms
The software company confirmed on July 19 that Byron had resigned, with cofounder Pete DeJoy sliding in to serve as interim CEO.
Byron and Cabot, who held the title of chief people officer at Astronomer, vaulted to Internet infamy when a 'kiss cam' at a July 16 Coldplay concert in Foxborough captured the pair canoodling.

Cabot, wearing a sleeveless black dress, immediately covered her face and turned her back on the camera. Byron, a little slower on the draw, ducked out of the frame. They're both married to other people, at least as of this writing.
'Oh, look at these two,' Coldplay frontman Chris Martin said from the stage. 'Uh oh, what? Either they're having an affair or they're very shy.'
A couple of apparently clueless concertgoers in Byron and Cabot's box were seen cheering as the coworkers ducked out of the frame.
The incident, caught on video, spread quickly on social media, where one post has been viewed more than 60 million times.
The company said at the time of Byron's resignation that the incident was no laughing matter, releasing a statement that said company leaders 'are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met.'

Prior to the kiss cam debacle, 'we were known as a pioneer in the DataOps space,' the company said. 'While awareness of our company may have changed overnight, our product and our work for our customers have not.'
Real estate records indicate that Byron and his wife, Megan Kerrigan Byron, purchased a home in Northborough.
Neither Byron nor Cabot have publicly announced their next professional roles.
