Report – Inter Milan Must Make Three Sales To Afford €60M Fee For Atalanta & Brazil Star

Report – Inter Milan Must Make Three Sales To Afford €60M Fee For Atalanta & Brazil Star Inter Milan must sell Hakan Calhanoglu, Kristjan Asllani, and Aleksandar Stankovic to afford the fee for Atalanta midfielder Ederson. This according to today's print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They report that the Brazilian will cost €25 million. Advertisement Inter Milan have identified Atalanta midfielder Ederson as the perfect replacement for Hakan Calhanoglu. The Nerazzurri are bracing for the possibility of the Turkish international heading for the exit door. Galatasaray are pushing to sign him behind the scenes. And in the event that happens, obviously Inter will want a suitable replacement. For that, they view Ederson as an ideal candidate. However, Ederson will not come cheap. Atalanta want to cash in to the tune of €60 million on the former Salernitana and Corinthians midfielder. Inter Must Sell Calhanoglu, Asllani & Stankovic To Afford Ederson Fee MILAN, ITALY – APRIL 23: Kristjan Asllani of FC Internazionale is challenged by Tijjani Reijnders of AC Milan during the coppa Italia Semi Final match between FC Internazionale and AC Milan at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on April 23, 2025 in Milan, Italy. (Photo by) Meanwhile, Inter certainly aren't going to bring in €60 million by selling Calhanoglu alone. Advertisement The 31-year-old should still fetch a decent fee if he leaves. However, Inter will have to compromise with Galatasaray in negotiations. And, having already spent €60 million or so out of pocket on the signings of Petar Sucic, Luis Henrique, and Ange-Yoan Bonny this summer, Inter will need to 'sell to buy' for the rest of the summer. Therefore, the cash to sign Ederson must come from elsewhere. According to the Gazzetta, a couple other sales of midfielders could allow Inter to reach the asking price for Ederson, though. Firstly, midfielder Kristjan Asllani looks relatively likely to leave Inter this summer. The Nerazzurri want a fee in the region of €15-20 million for the Albanian. Then, Inter are reportedly in talks to sell 19-year-old midfielder Aleksandar Stankovic to Club Brugge for a fee of €10 million.

Report – Man City Rival Barcelona To Trigger Inter Milan Star's €25M Release Clause

Man City are reportedly ready to rival Barcelona to trigger the €25 million release clause of Inter Milan wingback Denzel Dumfries. This according to today's print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. Advertisement Inter Milan are considering the possibility that they could lose Denzel Dumfries this summer. The Nerazzurri will not lose the Dutchman for free. He signed a contract extension last year. However, that new deal includes a release clause of €25 million. Moreover, Inter are aware that Dumfries is not altogether happy with the harsh words from Inter captain Lautaro Martinez earlier this week. Then, there is the fact that Dumfries has changed his agent to Jorge Mendes. That could very well be a signal of intent to leave the club this summer. (Photo by) Inter Milan are waiting to see if any clubs move in for Dumfries. Advertisement The fact that the 29-year-old's release clause expires on the 15th of this month means that if anything is top happen, it has to happen soon. Barcelona have been at the centre of the most persistent transfer rumours concerning Dumfries. However, the Catalans are not the only club eyeing up a move for the Dutchman. The Gazzetta report that Barcelona's former coach Pep Guardiola could try to get his hands on Dumfries. Manchester City are still looking for a right-back. That is one position they have not touched amid some fairly extensive summer squad surgery. City had been linked with Juventus's Andrea Cambiaso in January. Meanwhile, this summer they are reportedly targeting Newcastle United and England defender Tino Livramento. However, the Gazzetta reports, City are also considering the opportunity to sign Dumfries without worry – no negotiations, just pay the release clause and go.

Botafogo target Davide Ancelotti appointment as head coach

Botafogo are in talks to appoint Davide Ancelotti as head coach. Ancelotti departed Real Madrid, where he was assistant first-team coach, alongside his father Carlo at the end of 2024-25. The 35-year-old Italian is currently contracted to the Brazilian Football Federation (CBF), after last month joining Carlo Ancelotti's coaching staff at the Brazil men's international side. Advertisement Brazil and South America champions Botafogo are currently negotiating Davide Ancelotti's move from the CBF, with the expectation of a positive conclusion. He would replace Renato Paiva at Botafogo, who last season won Brazil's Serie A and, for the first time in the club's history, the Copa Libertadores. Artur Jorge, the coach who oversaw Botafogo's 2024 success, departed in January and was replaced by Paiva, who the club parted company with following their Club World Cup last-16 exit to fellow Brazilian side Palmeiras. Davide Ancelotti has worked as a coach in his father's team since 2011 at Paris Saint-Germain. Davide initially worked as a fitness coach at PSG and Real Madrid before he was appointed as Bayern Munich's assistant coach in 2016. He joined Carlo with subsequent roles at Napoli, Everton, and a return to Madrid. Earlier this summer, there had been managerial interest in Davide Ancelotti from clubs, including Scottish side Rangers and Deportivo La Coruna, currently in Spain's second division. The Athletic reported in May 2024 that Ligue 1 side Reims had identified Davide as a leading candidate in their search for a new head coach, while he had previously received a lucrative offer from a Saudi Arabian club, after earning his UEFA A coaching license in 2016. Carlo Ancelotti left Madrid at the end of the 2024-25 season after returning to the club for a four-year spell. He became the first foreign head coach to be appointed by Brazil, and replaced Dorival Junior in the position, following his sacking in March. Botafogo are currently eighth in Serie A, six points from league leaders Flamengo. The Copa Libertadores holders will play LDU Quito of Ecuador in the last-16 stage of this season's competition next month. ()
