It was only a little more than a year ago that Benson Boone became a global pop superstar thanks to his single, "Beautiful Things." That track is still a charting success to this day in a number of countries, even as his sophomore album American Heart debuts. His latest full-length arrives on half a dozen rankings in the United Kingdom, and as it lands, it brings the pop singer to a new high point on each and every tally on which it can be found.
American Heart Launches Inside the Top 10
The set opens highest on the Official Album Downloads chart. Boone earns his first top 10 win on half of those tallies and his second on the other half. In each instance, American Heart brings him to a new career peak.
Boone's second full-length almost becomes his first No. 1 on one of those lists, but misses out by just one space. American Heart launches at No. 2 on the Official Album Downloads ranking, coming in behind only the latest release by homegrown rapper Aitch, 4.
The pop singer's project kicks off its time in fourth place on four rankings, including the main list of the most consumed albums in the U.K., as well as the Official Album Sales, Official Physical Albums, and Official Vinyl Albums charts.
American Heart launches lowest on the Official Albums Streaming chart, as it seems that sales were largely to thank for its success. On that tally, it opens at No. 7.
Three Songs From American Heart Chart
Three songs from American Heart are present on multiple rankings in the U.K. this frame. Pre-release singles "Mystical Magical" and "Sorry, I'm Here for Someone Else" largely rise across a variety of tallies, while newly-selected fan favorite "Mr. Electric Blue" debuts. That tune opens on the Official Singles chart at No. 55 and in lower spots on two sales lists.
Benson Boone's Previous Era Still Shows Strength
Boone's debut album Fireworks and Rollerblades can still be found on five albums charts, while "Beautiful Things" remains a top 20 hit across four different rankings.

Morgan Wallen's Blocks One Of Today's Top Pop Stars From His First No. 1

Morgan Wallen's I'm the Problem stays No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for six weeks, keeping Benson ... More Boone's American Heart from debuting atop the chart. (Photo by Nina Westervelt/Billboard via Getty Images) Morgan Wallen scored the largest debut on the Billboard 200 in 2025 when his album I'm the Problem arrived a little more than a month ago. The set launched at No. 1 with just under 500,000 equivalent units shifted, beating a 2025 record previously set by The Weeknd's Hurry Up Tomorrow. In the six weeks since, the country superstar's project has not vacated the top spot, and it will likely continue to dominate for several more frames, if not months. This week, Wallen leads the charge yet again, and as he holds on, he blocks one of today's hottest pop stars from earning a first leader. Benson Boone Debuts at No. 2 Benson Boone launches American Heart at No. 2 on the current edition of the Billboard 200. The pop singer-songwriter reaches a new career high point as his new collection arrives and only misses out on the top spot by one space, although the race wasn't a very close one. I'm the Problem shifted 177,000 units according to Luminate in the past tracking frame. That's almost three times as many as American Heart during the same span. Boone's sophomore full-length arrives with 61,000 equivalent album units moved. Fireworks & Rollerblades Rises on the Billboard 200 Boone became a hitmaker in the pop space last year with 'Beautiful Things,' his breakout track. That tune still ranks above both of his American Heart smashes on the Hot 100 at the moment, as it dips to No. 12 after 74 weeks on the competitive roster. 'Beautiful Things' fronted Fireworks & Rollerblades, his debut album, which peaked at No. 6 on the chart in 2024. As American Heart arrives, Fireworks & Rollerblades skates three spots north to No. 27 after 64 weeks on the Billboard 200. American Heart Gives Benson Boone His First No. 1 While American Heart might miss out on the peak position on the Billboard 200, it does earn Boone a champion on both the Top Album Sales and Vinyl Albums charts. The same project enters the Top Streaming Albums tally at No. 5. Benson Boone's Four Hot 100 Hits It's a big week for Boone in America, and not just on the albums rankings. Three tracks from American Heart — 'Sorry, I'm Here for Someone Else,' 'Mystical Magical,' and 'Mr. Electric Blue' — appear on multiple tallies, and all three live on the Hot 100, alongside 'Beautiful Things.' The latter is brand new, while the previous two, which were selected as singles from the full-length, rise to new heights on several rankings as excitement around Boone's new project reaches a fever pitch.

For Coney Island, summer business kicks off with the Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest

Every Fourth of July, thousands descend on the Coney Island boardwalk to watch the Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest. It's the busiest day of the year for the Brooklyn neighborhood — and a boon to its businesses. This year's hot dog eating contest is expected to have an even bigger attendance than previous years, as 16-time champion Joey Chestnut returns after being banned in 2024. The competition once attracted over 40,000 in-person spectators and was broadcasted to nearly 2 million viewers on ESPN, according to Nathan's Famous. For these businesses, the sharp uptick in foot traffic can be a lifeline. Coney Island's growth was slammed by damage from Hurricane Sandy in 2012 and then from the pandemic shutdowns in 2020. Steve Cohen, vice president of the minor league baseball team the Brooklyn Cyclones and chairman of the community group Alliance for Coney Island, said 2020 and 2021 were difficult years for his business due to restrictions on groups. But now 'we're definitely seeing a rebound.' And July 4th, just a week or two after most local schools let out for the summer, kicks off Coney Island's peak season for business. He estimated Coney Island has about twice as many patrons on the holiday compared to any other day of the summer. Gledys Ramirez, a manager at Vicky's Food & Treats, said it would be 'amazing' if more customers stopped by for milkshakes, fried Oreos and other snacks at her stand. She expressed 'extreme worries' about business and added that while there have been longer lines recently, the heat waves on the East Coast have put a strain on foot traffic. Closer to Nathan's Famous hot dog stand is Ruby's Bar & Grill, a family-run business that opened in the 1970s — the oldest bar and grill on the boardwalk, according to its website. The bar's general manager, Matthew Sarrel, expects 'an excessive amount of people' on Friday as long as the weather is good. 'It's the busiest day in Coney Island every year,' Sarrel said. 'It's always been a good day historically. Any time you have a major televised event in the area, it brings a lot of recognition.' Hints of economic revitalization take place throughout the strip. Childs Restaurant, one of the first national dining chains in North America, was restored and reopened, and the New York Aquarium fully reopened in 2022. While jobs in sectors such as health care more than doubled from 2013 to 2023 in Coney Island, jobs in leisure and hospitality dipped, according to a 2024 report from the office of the New York State comptroller. But the number of businesses in Coney Island and Brighton Beach rose almost 30% in that same time period, most of them with fewer than five employees. Events like Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest can bring attention to tourist destinations and small towns, providing a boon for local businesses. For example, the Pennsylvania Tourism Office estimated that more than 30,000 visitors went to Punxsutawney, which has a population of about 6,000, for Groundhog Day in 2024. In an industry dependent on sun, warm water and the perfect ocean breeze, good weather days are crucial for traffic. Luckily, Cohen said this Friday has a perfect weather forecast so far. 'I think you're going to see people coming out in droves on July 4th. You know, Joey Chestnut is back in the hot dog eating competition and (the Cyclones) have a game that night,' Cohen said. 'I'm anticipating a huge, huge, massive turnout.'
