Google Pixel 10 family's prices in the US and Canada leak

GSM Arena6 days ago
We'd say "another day, another Pixel 10 leak" but it wouldn't be accurate anymore, as there are already multiple leaks per day regarding Google's next smartphones. Today we've seen a new round of leaked images and specs, as well as a rumor about the release date for the series.
And now we have prices for the entire Pixel 10 family - again. Last time they leaked for Europe, this time they're for the US and Canada. So, without further ado, here's the rumored pricing breakdown in a nifty table. Google Pixel 10 Google Pixel 10 Pro Google Pixel 10 Pro XL Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold 128GB $799 / CAD 1,099 $999 / CAD 1,349 - - 256GB $899 / CAD 1,229 $1,099 / CAD 1,479 $1,199 / CAD 1,629 $1,799 / CAD 2,399 512GB - $1,219 / CAD 1,649 $1,319 / CAD 1,799 $1,919 / CAD 2,569 1TB - $1,449 / CAD 1,949 $1,549 / CAD 2,099 $2,149 / CAD 2,869
There won't be a direct price hike for any device, but the Pixel 10 Pro XL gets an indirect one since Google is dropping the 128GB model. The 256GB iteration, now the cheapest, is still priced the same as the Pixel 9 Pro XL last year, but if you just want to get the most affordable option regardless of storage capacity, then you are paying more for the Pixel 10 Pro XL.
The Pixel 10 will allegedly get six months of the Google AI Pro plan for free, six months of Fitbit Premium, and three months of YouTube Premium. The rest of the lineup will get a full year of Google AI Pro and the same YouTube and Fitbit perks.

The Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold reportedly faces delays, will arrive after the other three models

A week ago, a tipster contacted us to say that the Google Pixel 10 Pro will go on pre-order immediately after it gets unveiled on August 20. We wondered whether this time the whole family will launch simultaneously or whether some will arrive late like what happened with the Pixel 9 series. And now we have our answer – due to some delays, the launch will be in two stages. First, the 'regular' phones will arrive on schedule – the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL pre-orders will start on August 20, shipping and open sales will start on August 28. Google Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL (leaked renders) However, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will arrive later, along with the Pixel Watch 4 and Pixel Buds 2a, according to sources speaking to WinFuture. These will be available from October 9, around two weeks after the non-folding Pixel 10 trio launches. Pre-orders will likely start on August 20, though. Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold, Pixel Watch 4 and Pixel Buds 2a (leaked renders) It's not clear what caused the delay – supply chain speed bumps may be the issue, but we just don't know. The Fold shares some components with the rest of its Pixel 10 siblings, like the Tensor G5, for example. That said, there are some things that could have caused headaches – like the first-ever IP68 rating on a foldable. The 10 Pro Fold will also have a bigger battery and a new 6.4' cover display. We won't even guess what might have gone wrong with the Pixel Watch 4 and new affordable TWS buds. Source (in German)

Android Auto's new look is here, but not everyone's on board

Android Auto just got a rare design update, but not everyone is happy about it. As part of a recent rollout, Google applied its Material You interface to Android Auto's music player, creating a more unified look that matches your phone's wallpaper. The problem is that it replaces the dynamic album art backgrounds, and some users are calling it a visual downgrade. Top is before and bottom is after. | Image credit — @Adil15101 The music player now pulls background colors from your Android wallpaper instead of using the currently playing track's album art. This change was meant to bring consistency across the interface, but it's also flattened the look and stripped away one of the music player's most distinctive visual user Adil15101 shared a side-by-side image comparing the old and new layouts. The older interface displayed vibrant backgrounds tied to the music, while the new one opts for blander, wallpaper-based palettes that don't always fit the vibe of what you're listening to. This design decision follows a broader update we recently covered, where Android Auto officially adopted Material You theming. The update allows your car's display to match your Android phone's wallpaper color palette, bringing a more cohesive visual identity across screens. While some users appreciate the polish, it's clear the music player changes have proven controversial. So much unused space... | Image credit — @flcinusa The update also tweaks the layout. The seekbar has been moved below the timestamp, and the album art is now smaller, creating what many are calling a cluttered-yet-empty feel — particularly on cars with portrait-oriented displays. Reddit user flcinusa noted that the already-reduced album art looks 'comically tiny' on their display. While the repositioned seekbar may reduce accidental touches, it creates odd spacing and visual imbalance, making better use of the space feel like an afterthought. To be fair, Material You is a big UI leap for Android Auto, which has traditionally been more utilitarian and function-focused. Google has also confirmed it's also working on a light theme, climate control integration, and Gemini AI voice features — all part of a broader push to modernize the platform. But for now, this refresh seems to be the decision based on the users' feedback. And for music lovers used to bold, dynamic album art backgrounds, this latest change might feel more like a step backward than forward.

One UI 8 beta coming to Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 next week

Peter, 05 August 2025 Samsung started the public One UI 8 beta program on the Galaxy S25 series back in May – stable One UI 8 made its debut with the 2025 foldables. Next week, the company will expand the program to last year's flagships. Starting next week, owners of the following models in the US, the UK, India and South Korea will be able to sign up for One UI 8 beta through the Samsung Members app: Samsung Galaxy S24, S24+, S24 Ultra, S24 FE, Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6. Samsung Galaxy S24 • Samsung Galaxy S24+ • Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra Samsung Galaxy S24 FE • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 • Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 Again, this is for the beta – the stable release is coming at a later date and will incorporate feedback from the beta program. This release is scheduled to roll out in September for the Galaxy S25 series and expand to other product lines in sequence. People with older phones will have to wait longer. For example, the following models will be able to join the One UI 8 beta starting in September: Note that we are assuming that the Galaxy S FE models are included in their respective S-series, since Samsung is already testing One UI 8 on the S24 FE. Also, we're not sure why the Galaxy A36 is on the list but the A56 is not – this is from the global press release, so it's not a regional thing. Looking at the Watch branch of the One UI 8 tree, the Galaxy Watch Ultra already received the stable update. The Galaxy Watch7 is still on the beta for some reason, though. Samsung is also testing older models and says that One UI 8 Watch will 'expand to more Galaxy Watch models beyond the Galaxy Watch8 series later this year'.
