New Galway restaurant set to open its doors
The restaurant's kitchen opening times will see doors close on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Owners shared a snapshot of their menu on social media, listing the small and big dishes that will be served at the chic new spot.
Amongst the small plate options are Toonsbridge burrata, seafood chowder and Doonbeg crab meat, while the big plates menu boasts pan fried hake and dry aged chicken.
The opening of the restaurant was announced earlier this month with owners promising a combination of eclectic dishes and unique wine choices.
The pair are opening the new restaurant on in the heart of the town's Main Street as they allowed customers a sneak peek of what to expect.
They said: 'We will be opening our doors very soon, and we would like to introduce to you Joe and Rosabelle Burke, and Fawn Wine Bar.
'We have designed our kitchen to be in the centre of the building, with open views of the cooking line from the two sides.

'Fawn Restaurant is on the right, and Fawn Wine Bar is on the left hand side of the ktchen.
'We're delighted to be partnering with Joe and Rosabelle Burke, whose roots run deep in this community.
'Joe grew up next door to what is now Fawn, in the heart of Oranmore. His father even put the roof on the very building that now houses our new restaurant and wine bar.
'Rosabelle, originally from Loughrea, went to school in Oranmore when Calasanctius was still a girls' boarding school. Somewhere along the way, she and Joe crossed paths, and the rest, as they say, is (a lot of) history.
'Rosabelle will be hosting your experience in the wine bar, where you will find a fun selection available by the glass and bottle from our cellar. We will have local cheese and charcuterie platters, small plates of local produce and nibbles to match our wines, all cooked by Jason, Sarah and the team. We do encourage sharing.
'We can't wait to open our doors and welcome you in soon!'

‘I would like to think I did my county some service' – Mayor of the County of Cork reflects on his tenure
The outgoing mayor's tenure concluded on Friday, June 27 and he reflected fondly on his time as the first citizen of Cork County. The long serving politician said it was a huge honour to serve as the Mayor of the County of Cork and he thanked the people of Cork County for placing their trust in him. He urged his colleagues to keep battling in their continued pursuit of extra money for roads and other services throughout the county. During an emotional speech, the outgoing mayor shared some personal highlights during his time as the county mayor. 'Montana was special. Walking in the footsteps of 1500 miners from the Beara Peninsula who migrated in the early 20th century following the failure of the copper mines in Allihies. It was one of the best events of the year. We also strengthened our international ties by inviting ambassadors from China and Canda and senior legislative leaders from the United States to County Hall.' Turning his attention to more local matters, the Skibbereen based councillor said he was especially proud to host a successful gala fundraiser in Skibbereen which raised vital funds for Cancer Connect and CoAction West Cork. 'Celebrating our Olympic rowing heroes from Skibbereen was another standout moment. Welcoming them home in September and recognising their achievements with a civic reception in May was a proud occasion. 'Other stand out moments must include the memorial service in Ahakista on Monday, June 23 to mark the 40th anniversary of the Air India tragedy. It was a moving ceremony. It was wonderful to meeting so many family members from Canada and India,' he added. 'I am filled with hope and optimism for the future of our county,' said the departing mayor. 'Thank you once again for the privilege of serving as your mayor. It has been an unforgettable journey one I will cherish always. I would like to think I did my county some service.' The outgoing mayor was afforded a standing ovation from his colleagues and members of the executive. The leader of the Fianna Fáil party in Cork County Council, Cllr Patrick Gerard Murphy led the tributes to the outgoing mayor. 'You did it with aplomb and you did it your own way. You really served the people and Cork County Council with huge drive and commitment. You were a champion for roads and for back to municipal district staffing again.' Fine Gael councillor Michael Hegarty thanked Mr Carroll for his professionalism over the past 12 months. 'You represented the county, both home and away. You did an excellent job. We are so proud of you. I think you do genuinely need a break. Well done again.' Labour Party councillor Cathal Rasmussen congratulated Joe on a great 12 months. 'You led the county with great distinction. It was a pleasure to work with you. Enjoy your well-deserved rest.' Independent Ireland councillor Danny Collins mischievously said Joe will be available to carry out more chores around the family home in Skibbereen once again. 'You really represented our county with great pride and dignity. I would like to congratulate Sheila, Linda and Anna for the year. You have Joe back for cutting the lawns and cleaning the window and doing the odd dinner. You must be over the moon.' 'You really represented us and the county with panache and style that we hadn't seen before,' said Independent councillor Alan Coleman: 'You have been an excellent representative. Having listened to your contribution earlier you might consider joining the diplomatic corps you get on so well with the other ambassadors.' Sinn Féin councillor Eoghan Fahy praised the outgoing mayor for carrying out his role with a great sense of humour. 'You have been a very hard working mayor. You stressed the need for more funding for roads. This year our funding increased and you played a role in that.' The CEO of Cork County Council, Ms Moira Murrell said she enjoyed working with Joe. 'We got a lot done. He was a hard worker and he was a steady hand especially when it came to the budget negotiations. He served the county with distinction and pride.' Mr Carroll's party colleague Deirdre Kelly enjoyed the last words from the chamber: 'On a day when everybody in the media is talking about the last Joe show in Dublin, it doesn't compare to the Joe show that we have here.'

Cork founders of Gym+Coffee take step back from atleisure company
The Cork trio who founded the popular atleisure brand Gym+Coffee said they will take a step back from the day-to-day operations of the company nine years after its establishment. Posting on social media to their more than 240k followers, an open letter from founders Niall Horgan, Diarmuid McSweeney, and Karl Swaine said: "After 20,000 coffees, 2,000 products, 400 events and a community of over 1m people, we believe Gym+Coffee is starting a new chapter. And so, we've made the decision, as a founding trio, to step back from the day-to-day operations of Gym+Coffee. "As you can imagine, this wasn't a decision we took lightly. And it's hard to capture everything we feel in one short letter. But at its heart, it came down to this: after nine incredible years of building Gym+Coffee, it feels like the right time for us personally and for the business as it enters its next chapter of growth." Launched in 2017, Gym+Coffee counted Irish rugby legend Brian O'Driscoll as an early investor, with celebrities like Niall Horan and UK fitness star Joe Wicks among fans of the brand. The company currently operates eight stores in Ireland and sells clothing through its e-commerce platforms in Europe, the UK, North America, Australia and New Zealand. Thanking their customers for their support, the trio added: "To the amazing Gym+Coffee community: thank you for embracing an idea, a startup, and a mission. You've made this brand what it is. You've helped us build something that people genuinely feel part of. That's a rare and special thing, and we'll never take it for granted. "It's onwards and upwards from here for Gym+Coffee, and we can't wait to see where the journey goes next. It's the start of a new chapter." Speaking on his decision to take a step back, co-founder Niall Horgan said in a LinkedIn post: "It's been a rollercoaster in every sense. The highs have been exhilarating. The lows have been really testing. But we're so proud to say that the business today is stronger, healthier, and more exciting than ever. "Gym+Coffee has just passed 1.5m customer orders, the business is doubling annual revenues in the UK, and we now have over 70 retail partners outside of Ireland. "And best of all, we have a team of absolute A players who have become the ultimate guardians of the brand and business. That's why now feels like the right moment, if there ever is a perfect moment, to make some changes." As part of these changes, Mr Horgan will take up the role of company chairman, with Jason Crawford becoming the company's CEO. "With his experience at Nike and Adidas, Jason brings exactly the kind of global expertise, energy, and leadership we believe the business needs to scale even further internationally," Gym+Coffee said.
