A young man had reportedly fallen from a 13-story building onto an awning, KTVU said. It was not clear how far he fell or why.
A video and photos with the X post showed firefighters working to remove the man from the awning over a doorway into the building.
The victim was taken to a hospital in critical condition, firefighters said in a later post.
Firefighters had to cut away part of the awning to free the man, KTVU reported.

The crash, which closed the eastbound lanes for nearly three hours, also involved a big rig whose driver was not hurt.

Idaho firefighters ambushed by gunman, governor says
