Jake Paul hangs up on heated Piers Morgan interview after fat-shaming host: ‘You're still a fat a**'
Jake Paul dramatically cut short his interview with Piers Morgan after the host questioned his boxing career.
The former YouTube star, who will enter the ring with Mexican Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. this weekend in Anaheim, California, was a guest on Piers Morgan Uncensored on Thursday to promote the fight when the discussion became heated.
'He's a dumba**, and so it's going to be apparent on Saturday when he's the one that gets knocked out. I'm being so honest, man, this guy is easy work,' Paul told Morgan of Chavez Jr via video link.
'People don't realise, I'm a real killer. I really f***ing do this sh*t. 'YouTube, this YouTube, Disney that …' This sh*t is not a joke. I'm knocking out the best of the best, beating all of these people time in and time again.
'And it's about time, that you old heads and all these f***ing boxers who think they know about the sport, put some respect on my name.'
Among the boxers Paul defeated via unanimous decision was champion Mike Tyson, who he fought last year in Texas. The fight was streamed on Netflix at the time and a whopping 65 million people tuned in.
'I think you're a great YouTuber, a great influencer. I admire what you try to do boxing, but I do think when you actually come up against a proper, serious boxer, and I suspect that Julio César Chévez Jr, maybe that person you, it could all come crashing down,' Morgan said.
When the British journalist added that Paul, 28, would never have defeated 58-year-old Tyson when he was in his prime, saying 'you wouldn't have lasted 10 seconds', the young boxer got defensive.
'You don't actually know that! You can't sit there and say that. I think anything is possible,' Paul hit back.
'That's why self-belief is the most powerful thing in the world. You don't think I can be a Mike Tyson? I don't think you go to the gym!'
Despite Morgan insisting he had been to the gym twice that week, Paul continued his rant, saying: 'You're still a fat a**.'
'I think the problem here, Piers, is that you think that your opinion matters,' he said. 'I'm just taking your audience to sell pay per views. I don't give a f**k about your show, dumb a**. This is a f**king business enterprise. Buy the pay per view on Saturday, June 28, me versus Julio César Chávez Jr. Thank you, tune in everybody!'
And with that, he was out, leaving Morgan to laugh about what just transpired.

Curious name for new bub in the Aussie boxing royalty Tszyu clan
Aussie boxer Nikita Tszyu has welcomed his first child who he named after a NASA Mars rover and vowed to use the principles of a Japanese code of conduct as a guide to raising her. Tszyu and his wife Nikita Bedwell, who married in January in a hugely secret ceremony, have named their daughter Curiosity. 'Curiosity is the passion that drives us through our everyday lives. It is this powerful force of curiosity which has led humans to become explorers, scientists, historians and artists,' Tszyu said in a post on Facebook. 'Curiosity is the everlasting flame burning in all of us that compels us to ask questions, to wonder, to learn, to grow and to know. 'As parents, we hope our daughter's name will give her the courage and strength to explore life without fear. May her own curious mind be the guiding compass leading the way as she grows to understand herself and the world around her.' Nikita, brother of Tim Tszyu and son of champion fighter Kosta Tszyu, said that as Curiosity's parents, he and his wife vowed to 'nurture her spirit of adventure and use the principles of the Japanese Bushido 'The Way of The Warrior' as a guide to raising her'. The youngest member of Australia's most famous boxing family married his girlfriend in January this year, with the couple's respective fathers and the groom's big brother Tim the only witnesses. Tszyu has always been a private person who generally shies away from the spotlight. He made his pro debut three years ago, taking the ring four times, and fighting in 2023 and 2024. Paperwork is reportedly being drawn up for Tszyu to take on rival Michael Zerafa in an Australian showdown before Christmas. The bad blood between the two Aussie camps has been compared to comes to that of rivals Anthony Mundine and Danny Green 20 years ago.
