Journalist: Liverpool reach Alexander Isak AGREEMENT
It's been an open secret that Liverpool hoped to sign Alexander Isak this summer. It was first reported back in January that they were looking at the Swede and links have gathered momentum ever since.

Now things feel like they're getting close. Isak is no longer a part of Newcastle United's pre-season and is pushing for an exit from the club.
Liverpool have made everyone perfectly aware that they're ready to do a deal, presumably for a British-record transfer fee. It's all about convincing both Isak and Newcastle that a deal should happen, though.
And according to one journalist, the former is sealed.
Liverpool agree terms with Alexander Isak
Journalist Florian Plettenberg claims Liverpool have reached an agreement with Alexander Isak. It's 'only' verbal at this stage but the player has given his yes.
"Understand: Alexander Isak has already reached a verbal agreement in principle with Liverpool over a contract running until 2031," Plettenberg writes on Twitter.
"Isak wants to make the move to LFC as early as this transfer window. The clubs are in contact. His salary at Liverpool would be similar to that of Hugo Ekitike's."
Now, it does seem a little strange that Liverpool would pay Isak the same as Ekitike. If only because Isak holds a much, much bigger reputation than Ekitike and would be a larger transfer.

Tottenham 'informed' of negotiations between Son and LAFC
Los Angeles FC are in ongoing discussions with Tottenham Hotspur star Heung-Min Son and Spurs have been informed of the negotiations, as reported by Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg. Son's move to the MLS has been widely reported this summer as LAFC look to sign the South Korean international as one of their Designated Players, with talks ongoing. If finalised, this transfer would mark one of the most high-profile moves in Major League Soccer history. Son, 33, remains one of the most admired and commercially valuable footballers in the world. His move to LAFC would not only boost the club's chances on the pitch but would significantly elevate the league's global profile—especially in the Asian market. LAFC has established itself as a destination for top-tier talent in recent years, but bringing in a player of Son's stature, both as a Premier League star and South Korea's national icon, would be a massive coup. 📸 Eurasia Sport Images - 2025 Getty Images
