BTS' Jin's viral kiss cam moment: Leaves audience in giggles during Anaheim performance, calls Coldplay's Chris Martin 'his bro'
On June 17 and 18, Jin performed in Anaheim as part of his solo world tour.
His compelling vocals, stage presence, and graphics left the audience in awe. The entertaining guessing game he played with fans on the second night, however, was the real highlight.
It instantly went viral on social media and brought the house down with laughter.
On the second day of the RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR tour in Anaheim, Jin engaged the concertgoers in a game of guessing called Connect Army. The BTS member had to predict a word or phrase that the audience was supposed to act out during the game.
The viral kiss-cam event from the recent Coldplay concert in Massachusetts was recreated by one enthusiastic fan. Playing along, Jin instantly grasped what the fan was depicting by imitating the hugging and face-hiding movement on stage.
Upon realising the answer, he burst into uncontrollable laughter, shaking his head in amusement and jokingly asking, "He's my bro?" He made the statement since Coldplay and BTS members are known to have a close, brotherly relationship.
Jin uttered the answer, Coldplay, out loud as fans applauded in agreement to his question. Jin and the audience both laughed uncontrollably during the game, which made it a memorable occasion.
Fans were particularly amused by Jin's quick wit and awareness of current viral trends, which allowed him to guess the reference with ease.
A surprising kiss cam scene during Coldplay's performance in Massachusetts made the show a viral event. A couple, later revealed to be Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and HR Chief Kristin Cabot, were shown cuddling up together on the jumbotron during the Gillette Stadium performance. Taken by surprise, they quickly separated and tried to hide their faces.
That's when
Chris Martin
chimed in with his signature humor, saying, 'Oh look at these two, either they're having an affair or they're very shy,' sending fits of laughter among the audience.k

‘What A Joke': Bengaluru CEO Rejects ‘Boston Brahmin' Analogy After Coldplay Kiss Cam Row
Last Updated: The term 'Boston Brahmin', which was meant to satirically evoke old-world privilege, has now drawn fire from caste-conscious discourse online. Bengaluru CEO and writer Anuradha Tiwari, who previously stirred debate over her post on 'Brahmin genes," has now pushed back against the online chatter linking the Coldplay concert controversy to Brahmins, calling the connection bizarre. 'That Coldplay concert controversy has bizarrely been linked to Brahmins. What a joke! Didn't even know 'Boston Brahmins' was a real term until I watched this video." She also opened the ground for debate, asking: 'What do you all think?" That Coldplay concert controversy has bizarrely been linked to Brahmins. What a joke!Didn't even know 'Boston Brahmins' was a real term until I watched this video. What do you all think? — Anuradha Tiwari (@talk2anuradha) July 22, 2025 Her tweet has sparked further discussion online, with many users expressing confusion over the term 'Boston Brahmin", which, despite its name, has no direct connection to Indian caste structures. The term resurfaced after media reports identified Kristin Cabot, the woman involved in the Coldplay kiss cam controversy, as part of the prominent Cabot family, historically associated with Boston's upper elite. Kristin and Andrew Cabot's family legacy includes major business interests in shipping, carbon black manufacturing, and the historic Privateer Rum distillery, which Andrew now runs as its sixth-generation owner. Ironically, the term 'Boston Brahmin', which was meant to satirically evoke old-world privilege, has now unintentionally drawn fire from caste-conscious discourse online. How Did X Users React? The renewed spotlight on the term 'Boston Brahmin' drew a wide range of reactions on social media, with many users expressing confusion, sarcasm, or historical insight. Abhinay Pandey, an X user, wrote: 'Never heard of a 'Boston Brahmin' before and probably it's not even a real thing. But the Brahmin-hate is so strong these days that even a CEO's affair gets blamed on them. " On the other hand, Amit Schandillia clarified the legitimacy of the phrase and said: 'Boston Brahmin is indeed a term. And quite a flattering one at that. Read up, you'll love it." Swayam Tiwari also weighed in, adding historical context. He said: 'Boston Brahmins were the wealthiest and most influential Americans in New England. The Rockefellers, etc., were all Boston Brahmins. So called because they were the direct descendants of the first English settlers." The thread of responses reflected a growing curiosity, and occasional confusion, among X users. view comments Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. 'Bow down to Lisa'? Boys Planet II trainee Peng Jin Yu's anti-BTS Jungkook posts resurface; ARMY erupt
It seems BTS can't catch a break - even when they're not involved, their names are dragged into controversies they never signed up for. In the age of idol survival shows, it's become almost routine for trainees to name-drop BTS, praising them as role models and inspirations. But behind the praise, not all intentions are as pure as they seem. Enter Boys Planet II contestant Peng Jin Yu - a name now sparking outrage across fan communities. The trainee is being slammed for hypocrisy after dancing to Jungkook's hit Seven in a promotional challenge, despite having a history littered with alleged hate against the BTS member and several girl group idols. Fans have branded his move as "performative clout-chasing", accusing him of trying to ride the BTS wave for fame after once throwing stones. What has angered many isn't just the past comments - it's the silence, the lack of accountability, and the sudden switch from hate to idol worship when the cameras are rolling. One thing is clear: the internet doesn't forget - and ARMY definitely won't either. a contestant on Boys Planet Peng Jin Yu, is JK anti who wrote hate comments and was shady against jungkook and gg groups but he's doing JK challenges right now to promote himselfanyone who writes malicious messages against fellow idols should not be eligible. @mnetplus About Peng Jin Yu and his hate for BTS Jungkook On June 12, 2025, Peng Jin Yu was introduced as a contestant on Mnet's survival show Boys Planet II, joining as an individual trainee. But it didn't take long for controversy to catch up with him. As his profile began circulating online, so did a wave of resurfaced hate comments - and fans were quick to uncover troubling patterns from his past. Soon after, it was revealed that Peng Jin Yu is a proud BLACKPINK fan, which in itself isn't an issue - K-pop fans are free to love who they love. But what has ignited outrage is that, as a self-proclaimed BLINK, Peng allegedly used his stan account to spread hate against BTS, fueling the long-standing ARMY vs. BLINK fanwar. And it didn't stop there - he also reportedly targeted other female groups in the industry with disturbing remarks. #BOYS2PLANET Peng jin-yu's problematic past :1. As a Blackpink fan he compared Aespa members to dogs, trended hate hashtags3. Harrassed Tzuyu for her flag in incident, dragged TWICE for "being Pro Taiwan independence"3. Called Jungkook a "wild boar", "poor and violent"[+] Among the most shocking claims, Peng once compared aespa members to dogs, trended hateful hashtags, and even harassed TWICE's Tzuyu over the Taiwan flag controversy - accusing the group of "promoting Taiwanese independence." But perhaps most incendiary of all were his comments about BTS' Jungkook. Fans dug up old posts where Peng allegedly called Jungkook a "wild boar," "poor," and "violent." He also reportedly spread false dating rumours, claiming Jungkook should "bow down to Lisa." Has Peng Jin Yu apologized? Technically - yes. But fans aren't buying it. What's being called an "apology" came in the form of a direct message to a fan who confronted him. The message read: "Babe calm down. I haven't been in fandom for a while. TBH I dragged so many people but didn't really hate anyone. Wasn't it idols being dragged into fanwars between fans? If you hate my actions, I apologize, ok?" the apology in question, no wonder they're not spreading it 😭😭😭 The tone struck many as dismissive, vague, and insincere - not a real apology, but a casual brush-off of serious allegations. ARMY reacts What's made the situation worse is Peng Jin Yu's recent participation in TikTok dance challenges to Jungkook's songs like Seven - despite his past remarks. The move has been slammed by fans as shameless, hypocritical, and blatantly opportunistic. - Seven (jungkook)- deja vu (tomorrow x together) ARMY and other K-pop fans have since taken to social media, demanding accountability and questioning how someone with such a history can suddenly act like a supporter. As backlash intensifies, one question looms large: How far will some go for fame - and how long will fandoms stay silent?
