London E-Prix: Nick Cassidy wins both races in Jaguar farewell, Nyck De Vries secures double podium

Nick Cassidy (Formula E) Nick Cassidy has done the impossible. The Jaguar driver won the second race of the London E-Prix after claiming victory in Part 1 on Saturday. This marked his third consecutive win, following Round 15 on Saturday and Round 14 in Berlin. It was also his final race with Jaguar TCS Racing, as he has announced his departure from the team. With the season now concluded, Porsche has sealed the Teams' and Manufacturers' Championships, thanks to strong performances by Pascal Wehrlein and António Felix da Costa. London E-Prix Round 16 results Nick Cassidy started from the front row, alongside polesitter Dan Ticktum. The Cupra Kiro driver secured his first-ever pole in Formula E but ultimately finished 14th due to a penalty. Cassidy's back-to-back victory helped him move ahead of Pascal Wehrlein to claim second place in the Formula E Driver Standings. The race was particularly special for both Cassidy and Ticktum. Cassidy's grandmother witnessed his win on Saturday and joined in the post-race celebrations. Ticktum's maiden pole came on home soil, with friends and family watching as he claimed his first Formula E qualifying victory in Round 16. The podium saw just one change from Saturday, with Nyck de Vries once again finishing second behind Cassidy. He had also secured second place in Saturday's race. Envision Racing's Sébastien Buemi took third place on Sunday. Andretti's Jake Dennis finished fourth, while Jaguar TCS Racing's Mitch Evans came in fifth after receiving a five-second penalty. TAG Heuer Porsche's Antonio Felix da Costa secured sixth. DS Penske's Maximilian Günther finished seventh and was followed by Pascal Wehrlein in eighth. ABT Cupra's Lucas di Grassi came ninth after suffering front wing damage, while Cupra Kiro's David Beckmann rounded out the top ten. Shubman Gill on handshake controversy - 'They deserved the centuries'

India batters Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar refuted to shake hands with England captain Ben Stokes. (Screengrab) It was a Test without any drama, but it ended on a sour note. At the beginning of the final hour, Ben Stokes offered to shake hands and call it a draw. The Indian batsmen, Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar, declined. It left Ben Stokes and the England players quite furious. Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! Having worked hard to earn a creditable draw, Jadeja and Washington — batting on 89 and 80 respectively — flatly refused Stokes' offer after he had approached the umpire, which irked the England skipper no end. With both approaching their hundreds after having saved the match, they exercised their rights to continue batting. Stokes had a few words to say, as Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett were also seen enquiring why India wanted to carry on. "Do you want to score a hundred against Harry Brook?" Stokes asked sarcastically, and all Jadeja said was, "I can't do anything." A smiling Jadeja maintained his grace and calmly brushed off the comments, as India, as per the rules, were well within their rights to continue batting. Poll Should Jadeja and Sundar have accepted Stokes' handshake offer for a draw? Yes, it was the fair sportsmanship move No, they played well and deserved to continue Maybe, it depends on the situation I have no opinion on this matter In what seemed like a mark of protest, Stokes introduced Harry Brook into the attack, and Jadeja hit him for a six to complete his third Test hundred. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Struggling With Belly Fat? Both of them were in their 90s, and we believed they deserved to get to their centuries." England have drawn only two of their 40 Tests under Ben Stokes and Brendon McCullum. The first, against Australia on this ground two years ago, was due to almost two days of rain. This is a new experience for the team, which may partly explain why they were so grouchy towards the end. The fifth and final Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy will start on July 31 at The Oval. (Image Source - Getty Images) The Los Angeles Lakers, a franchise with a rich history in the NBA, could potentially lose their superstar, LeBron James , by 2026. This speculation began after a surprising meeting in France that included LeBron, his business partner Maverick Carter, and Misko Raznatovic, the agent for Denver Nuggets' star Nikola Jokic. Raznatovic's enigmatic Instagram post after their meeting has ignited wild fan theories and significant media focus on LeBron's future with the Lakers. LeBron James could enter 2026 free agency after his $52.6 million player option ends On Instagram, Misko Raznatovic uploaded a picture of himself alongside LeBron James and Maverick Carter, captioning it, "The summer of 2025 is the perfect time to make big plans for the fall of 2026!" It is a very interesting statement which promptly raised eagerness in the basketball industry. With LeBron set to become a free agent in 2026 after exercising the option of the final year of his contract in 2025-26, which expires at the base of 52.6 million, the date of this assembly and the mention of 2026 has caused some fans and commentators to speculate that the player could be leaving Los Angeles. The meeting was held in France, although the specific purpose is still not clear. Nevertheless, the people involved—LeBron, a four-time NBA champion; Carter, his longtime business associate; and Raznatovic, the agent of a three-time MVP—imply that important career decisions might be in the works. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like No annual fees for life UnionBank Credit Card Apply Now Undo LeBron James had great numbers last season but this is not enough for keeping him LeBron James joined the Lakers back in 2018, bringing his incredible talent and leadership to a franchise that was hungry to regain its championship status. He delivered in 2020, leading the team to an NBA title in the Orlando bubble. In the 2024-25 season, he put up averages of 24.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 8.2 assists, earning him All-NBA Second Team recognition. Now kicking off his 23rd NBA season—a record-setting milestone—LeBron continues to dominate on the court. Still, his future with the Lakers is being questioned after he chose to exercise his $52.6 million player option for 2025-26. Reports are emerging that the Lakers' front office is turning its attention to a younger star, Luka Doncic, who was acquired in a significant trade in 2025. This change in direction might indicate a new phase for the Lakers—one that could conflict with LeBron's short-term objectives. In an ESPN interview, Rich Paul, who is LeBron's agent, discussed this tension — 'LeBron wants to compete for a championship. He knows the Lakers are building for the future. He understands that, but he values a realistic chance of winning it all' Also Read: 'It's one Steph Curry' — DeMar DeRozan says copying Golden State Warriors star is misleading for Hoopers For the Lakers, deciding to let LeBron leave in 2026 could be a smart strategy. By letting his contract expire, they would free up cap space to go after stars in a competitive 2026 free-agent class. Reports suggest that Giannis Antetokounmpo's future with the Milwaukee Bucks is unclear, and the Nuggets' president has hinted at the possibility of trading Jokic if salary cap challenges come up. These situations might encourage the Lakers to pursue Jokic, pairing him with Doncic to create a powerful duo. FAQs What did Misko Raznatovic post on Instagram?
