This season features an 18-car all female grid, racing at seven rounds, broadcast live on beIN Sports in English, Arabic and Turkish.
BeIN Media Group has secured an extended broadcasting deal for Formula 1's F1 Academy, ensuring coverage across the Middle East, North Africa (MENA) and Türkiye until 2033. The all-female driver series, dedicated to developing young female racers, begins its third season later this month.
The 2025 F1 Academy season will feature 17 full-time drivers, including 10 newcomers and seven returning competitors, competing in 14 races across seven rounds. Each round will also feature a Wild Card entry, offering more opportunities for aspiring female drivers. The season kicks off in Shanghai (March 21-23), followed by Jeddah, Miami, Montreal, Zandvoort, Singapore, and concludes with its first-ever finale in Las Vegas (November 20-22).
BeIN Sports will provide live coverage of all seven rounds in English, Arabic, and Turkish, available via its OTT platform, TOD. Renowned F1 reporter Stephany Saad will deliver exclusive on-grid interviews with drivers and team personnel.
Announced during the week of International Women's Day 2025, the eight-year extension underscores beIN's commitment to women's sports through its beINSPIRED initiative, which promotes underrepresented sports and female athletes.
Richard Verow, Chief Sports Officer at BeIN Media Group, said: 'The extension of our partnership with F1 Academy for the next eight seasons in MENA and Türkiye is fully aligned with our beINSPIRED corporate commitment that drives a broader mission of elevating female athletes, enhancing their visibility, and ensuring they receive the media recognition they deserve. We take immense pride in not only being the home of F1 in the region, but also in advancing diversity and inclusion within motorsport – the continuation of our commitment to the F1 ACADEMY is evidence of that.'
F1 Academy is just one of many women's sports that beIN holds broadcast rights, which falls within its beINSPIRED corporate commitment. The Group's portfolio also includes the UEFA Women's EURO, UEFA Women's Champions League, UEFA European Women's U17 Championship, UEFA European Women's U-19 Championship, FIFA Women's World Cup, and the FIFA U-17 and U-20 Women's World Cup. In 2025, in different markets, beIN Sports will showcase female talent in the remaining three tennis grand slams, Premier Padel, and much more.

Lionel Messi, Inter Miami drive Club World Cup ratings

Lionel Messi, arguably the most recognisable player in the Club World Cup, is steering viewership to his underdog team. Messi and his Inter Miami teammates are helping the expanded tournament draw US television ratings that are roughly comparable to those of the Premier League in the recently concluded season. Club World Cup broadcasts in English on TNT Sports (TNT, TBS and truTV) were averaging 360,000 through Wednesday, per Sports Media Watch. Sports Business Journal noted that the highly popular Premier League drew 394,000 per match on USA Network in the 2024-25 season. Only a small number of Club World Cup are carried by TNT Sports, with all matches available on DAZN. Three of the top seven English-language telecasts on TNT Sports featured Inter Miami, led by 676,000 tuning in to see the Major League Soccer side draw 2-2 with Brazil's Palmeiras on Monday. The Miami matches attracted even larger viewership on Spanish-language broadcasts. Inter Miami drew 0-0 with Egypt's Al Ahly (371,000 viewers), then earned an upset 2-1 win over Portugal's Porto (349,000) before the tie with Palmeiras. Those results allowed Messi & Co. to finish second in Group A, setting up a Round of 16 matchup with Paris Saint-Germain that should be a rating bonanza. The Sunday contest in Atlanta pits Messi against the team he represented immediately before coming to Miami. And PSG are the newly crowned winners of the UEFA Champions League, the most prestigious continental club tournament. According to Sports Media Watch, the CONCACAF Gold Cup matchup on Sunday between the U.S. men's national team and Haiti attracted an audience of 1.2 million viewers on Fox. The US won 2-1 to finish atop its group and set up a Sunday quarterfinal contest against Costa Rica in Minneapolis.
