Following Inter Miami's elimination from the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup this past weekend, the future of a few stars at the club has become uncertain. The Herons are set to let go of one of their biggest names at the club, Luis Suarez.

The Uruguayan striker currently has a contract with the club until the end of the 2025 MLS Season, which is the end of the year. He signed a contract extension with Inter Miami last November.
Currently 38 years old, Suarez's future at Inter Miami has become less likely to continue as the club is reportedly looking for younger options ahead of 2026.
Eduardo Burgos from Diario AS reports that unless there is a last-minute surprise, Suarez is expected not to continue at Inter Miami in 2026. His future in soccer has also become uncertain.
Why Luis Suarez may retire after Inter Miami?
Burgos' report suggests that there are talks within Suarez's camp that retirement is a realistic option to take if he does not continue with Inter Miami. Suarez will turn 39 years old in January.

A couple of weeks ago, Suarez announced a new Uruguayan club he formed along with Lionel Messi. Rumors assume that the Uruguayan striker may put his full focus on the project, especially if he retires.
Inter Miami is set to become more ambitious in the next couple of months, as the Club World Cup painted a picture of how the team competes against some of the best teams in the world.
The club seems more focused on convincing Messi to stay by bringing elite players to create a competitive team. With this latest report, Suarez is not part of the plans.
Suarez played in all four of Inter Miami's Club World Cup games in June. His most notable game was the 2-2 draw against Palmeiras, where he scored and assisted.
What's Next for Suarez and Inter Miami?
After the Club World Cup, Inter Miami is expected to return to MLS action this weekend. Inter Miami has seven games scheduled for July.

July 5 - Montreal (Away)
July 9 - New England (Away)
July 12 - Nashville SC (Home)
July 16 - FC Cincinnati (Away)
July 19 - NY Red Bulls (Away)

Suarez is expected to play most of these games, while others like Messi and Jordi Alba are expected to be rotated. Both Alba and Messi will play in the MLS All-Star Game, which will be held on July 23.

Real Madrid superstar underwent doping test after Dortmund win

According to a report from MARCA, it has come to light that Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe found himself in an unusual situation after his team's 3-2 victory over Borussia Dortmund in the FIFA Club World Cup quarter-final. The French forward had to stay behind at the venue to complete a routine doping test, which ended up taking much longer than expected. Advertisement After the match, Real Madrid's players gradually made their way from the locker room to the team bus, ready to head back to their base camp in West Palm Beach, Miami. Club president Florentino Perez also departed the stadium in his car. However, as everyone settled in and the bus prepared to leave, they realised one key figure was missing: Kylian Mbappe. Mbappe had to leave alone The delay left Real Madrid in a tricky spot. With the entire squad and coaching staff already on the bus and time ticking away, they had no choice but to leave without Mbappe. Mbappe scored a fantastic goal against Borussia Dortmund. (Photo by) Advertisement The forward, who had taken longer than expected to finish his doping test, was still inside the stadium nearly an hour after his teammates had gone. When Mbappe finally emerged, he was escorted by a club staff member and whisked away in a different car, followed by up to five police vehicles for security. The extraordinary escort highlighted both the importance of the player to the club and the level of attention he commands wherever he goes. This unexpected incident did little to dampen the excitement of Real Madrid's win, which booked their place in the semi-finals of the Club World Cup against Paris Saint-Germain. Mbappe, who scored a goal in the match, will now focus on helping his team reach the final and lifting another trophy.
