Tiger Woods' son Charlie soars in junior golf rankings after first AJGA tournament victory
Woods, a rising junior at the Benjamin School and the son of legendary golfer Tiger Woods, is ranked No. 14 in the latest edition of the AJGA boys rankings, more than 595 spots better than his previous ranking of No. 609.

Woods earned his first career AJGA win on May 28 with a three-stroke victory at the Team TaylorMade Invitational at Streamsong Resort's Black Course in Bowling Green, Florida.
It was an individual breakthrough for Woods, whose previous best AJGA finish was a tie for 25th at the Junior Invitational at Sage Valley in South Carolina in March.
He shot a final round 66 (6-under) to close the tournament at 15-under overall, defeating top junior players like Jacksonville Beach's Miles Russell (No. 1 in the previous AJGA rankings) as well as Luke Colton (No. 5) and Alabama's Tyler Watts (No. 7).

Woods currently does not appear in any fields for upcoming AJGA tournaments.

However, Woods' new ranking means he will potentially qualify to play 2025 The Junior PLAYERS Championship at historic TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach.
The field includes the top 58 boys in the Rolex AJGA Rankings as of July 8 as well a select group of international invitees and additional spots available at the tournament organizer's discretion.

Three Clemson football starters named 2025 Walter Camp Preseason All-Americans
Clemson ties Alabama, Texas, Penn State and Indiana for teams with most players named Walter Camp Preseason All-Americans. Three Clemson Tigers players were named 2025 Walter Camp Preseason All-Americans Tuesday, the Walter Camp Football Foundation announced. Two players were chosen as First Team selections: quarterback Cade Klubnik and defensive tackle Peter Woods. Defensive lineman T.J. Parker was a Second Team selection. The Tigers had the most players of any ACC program on the Walter Camp Preseason All-America Team and tied Alabama, Texas, Penn State and Indiana with the most players nationally. Klubnik, projected by ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft heading into this season, was the only quarterback named a First Team selection. The Austin, Texas, native had a breakout season a year ago, throwing for 3,639 yards and 36 touchdowns to six interceptions. He rushed for another 463 yards and seven touchdowns. At 6-foot-3, 315 pounds, Woods enters his junior season after starting 10 games in 2024 and is another projected first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Woods had 26 tackles (18 solo), 8.5 tackles for loss, 3.0 sacks and a forced fumble last season. In two years at Clemson, Woods is credited by Dabo Swinney and the Tigers' coaching staff with 59 tackles (11 for loss) and two forced fumbles in 23 games. Joining Woods as First Team defensive line selections on the 2025 Walter Camp Preseason All-America Team are Dylan Stewart of South Carolina, Colin Simmons of Texas, and Zane Durant of Penn State. The 6-foot-3, 265-pound Parker started all 14 games at defensive end in 2024 and is also considered a consensus top 5-10 first-round pick in next year's NFL Draft as one of the top pass rushers in college football. Parker had 57 tackles (34 solo), 19.5 tackles for loss and 11.0 sacks last season en route to earning Second Team All-ACC honors. Miles Russell of Jacksonville Beach, the No. 1-ranked player on the American Junior Golf Association Polo Rankings, has verbally committed to play college golf at Florida State. first reported the news and the Times-Union confirmed it with Russell's father Joe. Advertisement Russell, who is home-schooled, has a 2027 graduation year listed by the AJGA. That means he could begin playing for FSU in the fall of 2027 if he signs with the Seminoles during the fall sports signing period in 2026. Russell has won numerous major junior tournaments, including the Junior PGA, the Junior Players Championship, the AJGA Tournament of Champions and the Sage Valley Invitational. He broke Tiger Woods' record as the youngest player to be named the AJGA Player of the Year in 2023. Miles Russell of Jacksonville Beach will play college golf at Florida State.
