Two Yemeni students go missing at Valappu beach in Kerala
The missing students were identified as Abdul Salam, 21, and Jubran, 22. They were part of a nine-member group of foreign students — seven Yemenis and two Sudanese — from Rathinam College, Coimbatore.
'All nine students entered the sea. While the others managed to swim to safety, the two went missing,' said the Coastal Police.
A search operation involving the Indian Navy, Coast Guard, Coastal Police, Marine Enforcement, and the scuba team of the Fire and Rescue Services continued late into the evening.

Organised by the National Cadet Corps, the event was held in the presence of Col Shiv Gehlot, Officiating Group Commander NCC, Colonel Tapas Mandal, Commanding Officer NCC and other associated NCC officers and 500 NCC cadets from the various educational institutions. The Indian Navy was represented by Captain (IN) Rajashekhar.
