3-star DL cancels upcoming Kansas official visit after visiting MSU this past weekend
A critical recruiting target for Michigan State has reportedly cancelled one of his upcoming official visits following his visit to Michigan State this past weekend.
Nehemiah Kolone of Stillwater, Okla. has reportedly cancelled his upcoming official visit to Kansas scheduled for this upcoming weekend. This notable update in Kolone's recruitment was reported by SpartanTailgate.com on Tuesday morning. Kolone is still slated to take an official visit to BYU on June 20, though, which remains as his final official visit planned for this recruiting cycle.
Kolone is a three-star defensive lineman prospect in the 2026 class. He holds a recruiting rating of 86.89 and ranks as the No. 86 defensive lineman in 247Sports' composite rankings for the class. He is also listed as the No. 850 overall prospect in the class.
Kolone took an official visit to Michigan State this past weekend, which reportedly went really well. So the cancellation of his upcoming visit to Kansas only furthers that narrative. It appears Michigan State, Oklahoma State and BYU remain as the three teams in contention for his commitment at this time.

Three Ohio State football players receive 2025 Big Ten Preseason Honors
The Big Ten Conference released the players included in its 2025 Preseason honors on Wednesday, and as usual, there are a number of Ohio State players included in the 16 names. The Buckeyes tied Penn State with the most players honored, with three each. The three players donning Scarlet and Gray for the 2025 season named to the Big Ten Preseason Honors list are safety Caleb Downs, receiver Jeremiah Smith, and linebacker Sonny Styles. Smith was the only player on the list of names selected unanimously by the media. Smith burst onto the scene last year as a freshman. He hauled in 76 passes for 1,315 yards and 15 touchdowns, putting together arguably the best season by a freshman wide receiver ever. Downs is widely considered the best defensive player in the country and should continue to be inserted all over the field to wreak havoc on the OSU defense once again. He tallied 81 tackles and two interceptions last season. Styles returns for his final season and is looking to build on a breakout year in which he finished with 100 tackles and six sacks. He should be even better this year.
