Much like the controversial Andy Byron–Kristin Cabot kiss cam moment, a similar scene unfolded in the popular series Modern Family.

Astronomer CEO Andy Byron became an overnight media sensation when he was spotted cuddling with HR chief Kristin Cabot at a Coldplay concert. Their awkward reactions after being featured on the kiss cam went viral, sparking discussion about the alleged affair.
During the musical night held at Gillette Stadium in Boston, Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin used a kiss cam to interact with the crowd. At one point, the camera zoomed in on Byron and Cabot, causing a social media uproar. Soon after realising that they were in the spotlight, the CEO ducked, hiding from the lens while Cabot turned her back, covering her face.
This is not the first time that on-camera kissing has gone wrong. There have been several similar incidents previously. Let us take a look at some of them.
Olivia Rodrigo Sibling Incident — 2024
Last year, Olivia Rodrigo's Guts World Tour witnessed an awkward situation when she unknowingly asked two siblings to kiss each other on camera, thinking they were a couple. The incident happened during her first tour stop in Sydney. 'You guys are so cute. I've a really huge fun thing to ask. Would you guys give us a kiss on the Guts cam?" asked Rodrigo, oblivious of their equation.
Football Fan Cheating Scandal — 2020
Back in 2020, a football fan was caught cheating on his girlfriend with another woman at the Barcelona SC's match against Delfin in Ecuador. During halftime, the kiss cam footage showed the man kissing a woman at the stadium. But soon after realising that they were being filmed, he quickly distanced himself from the lady. He removed his arm from the woman, shifted uncomfortably in the seat and leaned forward with frustration.
Later, when the footage went viral, the man confessed to cheating. Defending himself, he said, 'If it were a woman in my place, what would you do? Various videos have been circulating of unfaithful women, but they haven't been made fun of as much as me. I'm going to defend my honour and my pride as a man until the end. We all fail and we all repent, thank you to those who have invited me to church, and if I go, it is so I can heal my family," as per a report by Fox Sports.
In the Season 1 finale of Modern Family, titled Family Portrait, binge-watchers came across one such on-camera kiss. In the particular scene, Phil Dunphy, who was married to Claire, attended a basketball game with his longtime crush Gloria and friend Manny. When Gloria leaned in and planted a kiss on his lips, Phil looked visibly hesitant and uncomfortable while the crowd booed at Phil for not reciprocating the gesture.
Phil Dunphy was left in sheer panic, convinced that Claire must have seen Gloria's spontaneous kiss. However, Claire was only concerned that Phil had ignored her phone call and did not witness the kiss. What followed was a hilarious tangle of misunderstanding and self-sabotage.

Lokesh Kanagaraj Reveals Why Rajinikanth Shouldn't Do Vikram

Lokesh Kanagraj said that Coolie is part of his cinematic universe and shared insights on whether Kamal Haasan could have taken on this role. Coolie, starring the iconic Rajinikanth, is among the most eagerly awaited big-budget releases of Indian cinema. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, this film marks one of his boldest and most ambitious projects yet. In a recent interview, the filmmaker addressed whether Coolie is part of his cinematic universe and shared insights on whether Kamal Haasan could have taken on this role. Clarifying the status of his upcoming film Coolie, Lokesh Kanagaraj recently spoke with Baradwaj Rangan, putting to rest speculation about its connection to the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU). In a clear and concise statement, the director reportedly said, 'This is another standalone film which has nothing to do with my universe." This confirms that, unlike Kamal Haasan's Vikram, Coolie will be a self-contained story with no ties to Lokesh's larger cinematic universe. Did He Want to Cast Kamal Haasan? In a candid conversation, Lokesh Kanagaraj revealed that Kamal Haasan was never in the picture for his film Coolie. However, the director confessed that if it meant bringing together Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan for a project, he'd be willing to go the extra mile. Nevertheless, Lokesh emphasised that Coolie is tailor-made for Rajinikanth's unique style, and similarly, Vikram is perfectly suited for Kamal Haasan's persona. In his opinion, swapping the two actors would not have worked, as each film's essence is deeply tied to its star's presence. He said, 'What's clear to me is why Rajni sir shouldn't do Vikram and Kamal sir shouldn't do Coolie. Because it was written for both of them. It wasn't like they were the only ones who didn't want anyone else doing anything apart from these two. So that wouldn't be fair." In a previous conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, Lokesh Kanagaraj shared a fascinating anecdote about Rajinikanth's enthusiasm for Coolie. The director recounted, 'I didn't expect him to say yes. I narrated only the first half and paused at the interval block to ask if he'd be interested. He immediately said yes. I hadn't even written the second half yet. When I returned a couple of months later with the complete script, he loved it." First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Kajol Almost Said No To Shah Rukh Khan's Baazigar

Kajol shared why she was unsure about doing Shah Rukh Khan's Baazigar and how her father Shomu Mukherji helped her decide. It's hard to imagine Bollywood without Kajol's big break in Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Baazigar, but the actor recently shared that she was unsure about doing the film at all. In a new chat with Filmfare, she opened up about how it was actually her father, filmmaker Shomu Mukherji, who pushed her to take the leap and helped shape her early film choices. She was just a teenager when she first stepped into the film world, and according to Kajol, her dad gave her some honest advice right at the start. 'My dad actually warned me. He said, 'You better be sure what you want to do, because once you put that makeup on, its not going to come off.' I was like 16 at that time and said, 'What nonsense! I am an educated girl, I am a today's woman. If I choose to leave the films I will leave the films and I will show you. There's no one who can keep me from doing what I want to do.'" But even after stepping in, Kajol wasn't instantly sold on the idea of doing Baazigar—the 1993 thriller that would go on to become a cult hit. She recalled having doubts about the script and her role in it. 'He was also a very practical person, very much in the flow of the industry. He was also the person who told me that I must do Baazigar. Because I was not sure whether I should do Baazigar or not. I was like, 'I was really not sure about it. What is this film? What am I doing in the film?' He was like no you must do it as these are good directors, I know Abbas-Mustan. That was one film that he told me that I really must do it." Her dad's instincts were spot on. Directed by Abbas-Mustan and starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Shilpa Shetty, Baazigar went on to become a box office hit and a career milestone for everyone involved. Interestingly, the original script reportedly had Kajol's character killing Shah Rukh's, before the final plot was altered. Kajol's father, Shomu Mukherji, passed away in 2008 after suffering a cardiac arrest. Looking back now, she credits him for being a steady guiding hand during her early days in the industry.
