A Patna to New Delhi IndiGo flight returned to its origin shortly after takeoff and made an emergency landing at the Patna airport on Wednesday after a bird hit.

On Tuesday, IndiGo flight 6E 7295, scheduled to travel from Indore (IDR) to Raipur (RPR), faced a mid-air technical issue, prompting it to land immediately.
The flight was scheduled to depart at 6.35 am but took off slightly ahead of time at 6.28 am, and was scheduled to arrive at 8:30 am in Raipur.
However, it was diverted to Indore, as per Flightradar24.
Shortly after take-off, the pilot detected a technical snag and decided to turn the aircraft around.
Air Traffic Control at Indore Airport granted priority landing, ensuring the aircraft landed safely without incident.
All passengers were safely disembarked upon arrival.
On Monday afternoon, a Jaipur-bound IndiGo flight from Surat got delayed by nearly 45 minutes after a swarm of honeybees was spotted on the door of the plane's luggage compartment prior to its departure.

Air India Delhi-Kolkata flight rescheduled after technical snag
An Air India flight from Delhi bound for Kolkata on Monday evening was rescheduled due to a technical issue detected by the cockpit crew, the airline said. The Airbus, A321neo, was originally scheduled for take off at 5.30 pm, according to live flight tracking website Flightradar24. It was rescheduled to depart at 9.30 pm. 'Flight AI2403 operating from Delhi to Kolkata on 21 July, 2025, has been rescheduled to depart later this evening. The rescheduling was necessitated by a technical issue detected during the take-off roll,' an Air India spokesperson said. 'The cockpit crew decided to discontinue the take-off, following Standard Operating Procedures,' the spokesperson said. 'All passengers have disembarked, and our ground colleagues in Delhi are extending support to them. Inconvenience caused to the passengers due to this unforeseen disruption is sincerely regretted…,' the spokesperson added. This development comes a few hours after an Air India aircraft operating a Kochi-Mumbai flight veered off the runway after touchdown at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) amid heavy rain. There has been a slew of disruptions to flight operations in the aftermath of the Air India crash in Ahmedabad in June — which killed 260 people, including 241 of the 242 on board — with airlines cancelling, rescheduling, and diverting flights with more frequency. Last month, an Air India flight headed to Delhi had to return to Hong Kong owing to a technical issue. The flight, AI315, was a Boeing 788. On the same day, an Air India Express flight bound for Ranchi returned to Delhi airport due to a suspected technical snag. On June 13, an Air India flight heading to New Delhi from Phuket received a bomb threat and made a precautionary landing back at Phuket.

IndiGo Flight With 140 Passengers On Board Makes Emergency Landing In Indore
The aircraft departed Goa's Dabolim Airport at 3:14 p.m. and was approaching Indore when the pilot alerted Air Traffic Control about the irregular hydraulic response linked to the landing gear. As a precaution, the plane circled Indore's airspace seven to eight times while emergency response units were mobilised on the ground. Fire brigades, medical teams, and airport officials were deployed along the runway, anticipating a potentially hazardous landing. The aircraft touched down safely at 5:08 p.m., with all 140 passengers and crew members reported unharmed. This marks the second such scare within 24 hours for the carrier. On Sunday evening, flight 6E 6591 from Tirupati to Hyderabad encountered a separate technical snag shortly after take-off. According to flight tracking data from FlightRadar24, the plane left Tirupati Airport at 7:42 p.m., but was forced to circle overhead before landing back at 8:34 p.m. That flight, also an A321neo and the last scheduled service from Tirupati to Hyderabad for the day, was cancelled. IndiGo has yet to offer a comprehensive statement regarding either incident. Aviation sources suggest both were precautionary manoeuvres prompted by cockpit alerts, not structural failures. However, the proximity of two mechanical alerts involving the same aircraft model has drawn attention from civil aviation authorities, who are expected to initiate a review of maintenance protocols and alert response strategies. Passengers on both flights have expressed relief over the crew's handling of the situations, while aviation observers await official explanations from the airline and regulators regarding any underlying causes or patterns behind the sudden malfunctions.

Over 80,000 candidates accept DUs UG seats in 1st round; fee deadline July 23
Agency: PTI New Delhi, Jul 21 (PTI) More than 80,000 candidates have accepted undergraduate seats in the first round of Delhi University's (DU) seat allocation, according to official data released by the university on Monday evening. According to the figures from the Common Seat Allocation System-Undergraduate (CSAS-UG) portal, 80,015 candidates accepted their allocated seats as of 7 pm on July 21. Of them, 31,088 have been approved by college principals and 17,702 have completed fee payment. This year, the university has made 93,166 allocations against 71,624 seats across 69 colleges and 79 undergraduate programmes, indicating that internal movement and reallocations are expected in the subsequent rounds. 'More than 93,000 allocations have been done based on the pattern and requirement of previous years, as many students shuffle their seats from one college to another," a senior DU official told PTI. The CSAS-UG system, which forms the basis of these allocations, factors in CUET-UG scores, candidate preferences and reservation norms. The allocations span various categories, including Unreserved (UR), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Sikh Minority, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), Kashmiri Migrants, Single Girl Child and Orphan candidates. Under the Single Girl Child category, 1,325 allocations were made, while 259 orphan candidates — 127 females and 132 males — secured seats in the first round. Candidates had until 4:59 pm on July 21 to accept their seats. College-level verification and approval will continue until July 22, with the last date for fee payment set for July 23. In a step towards transparency, the university has allowed candidates to view the minimum allocation scores and ranks for each programme and college. These details are accessible through their dashboards and will also be published on the official admission website. Meanwhile, allocations for performance-based programmes, such as Hindustani Music, Karnataka Music, Percussion Music, Physical Education and Fine Arts, will be conducted in the third round. Candidates seeking admission in these categories have been advised to check the trial schedules on the respective college or department websites. The second round of seat allocation is scheduled to be announced at 5 pm on July 28. The academic session for first-year students will commence on August 1.
