Ceedee Lamb Ranked Among NFL's Elite WRs in Latest Poll

Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb dealt with quarterback instability and a nagging shoulder injury last season, but he's still viewed as a top-five pass-catcher around the NFL.
ESPN released their latest receiver rankings after surveying league executives, coaches, and scouts, slotting Lamb at the No. 4 spot heading into the 2025 season.
Here is the full top 10 from ESPN's poll:

"Lamb has checked many boxes required by an elite receiver. He had a banner season in 2023, with 135 receptions (league-high), 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns. He has had no true down years. He's a perennial All-Pro first- or second-teamer. And he can produce through adversity, including multiple injuries to Dak Prescott and a bad running game.
"Excellent out of the slot, easy mover, can sink and bend," an NFL personnel evaluator said. "Very good after the catch and excellent ball carrier vision."
Lamb has 496 career receptions, the second most through a player's first five seasons behind Michael Thomas' 510. His 12 career games with at least 10 receptions are already the most in Cowboys history. And his 101 catches for 1,194 yards last season was impressive considering Prescott missed significant time and the lack of a true No. 2 receiver in Dallas. About 45% of Lamb's yards came after the catch, producing 235 receiving yards after first contact. His red-zone production was modest last year, with nine catches for 57 yards and three touchdowns."
Lamb has recorded four straight 1,000-yard seasons with the Cowboys, catching 101 passes for 1,194 yards and six touchdowns last year before being shut down with a sprained AC joint. He has four Pro Bowl nods to his name and was named first-team All-Pro after a stellar 2023 campaign.
With the offseason acquisition of George Pickens, who also received votes in ESPN's poll, Lamb should have more room to operate in the short-to-intermediate passing game. The Cowboys will likely maintain a pass-heavy offense (given their minimal investment at the running back position), setting Lamb up for a strong bounce-back season in 2025.
"You can't cover everybody," tight end Jake Ferguson said after the Pickens trade. "Having him [Pickens], No. 88 and Jalen [Tolbert], and some of the young guys like myself, Brevyn [Spann-Ford] and [Luke] Schoonmaker, you physically can not cover everybody. I think it's going to be really hard for defenses against our pass game, but then we'll run the ball, too."

Seeking to learn, Puka Nacua asks Davante Adams to lead the LA Rams' receiving drills
LOS ANGELES — Although Puka Nacua is one of the NFL's top receivers as he heads into his third season with the Los Angeles Rams, he thinks he still has plenty to learn from the new teammate wearing his old uniform number. Nacua was full of praise and admiration for Davante Adams after just one practice in training camp at Loyola Marymount University on Wednesday. Nacua is determined to soak up the techniques and teachings of the six-time Pro Bowl selection who joined the Rams as a replacement for Cooper Kupp in the spring.

Todd McShay throws cold water on Colin Cowherd's Browns plan for Arch Manning and Nick Saban, hints another team
Colin Cowherd thinks he knows exactly where Texas Longhorns' quarterback Arch Manning is headed next season. And it's not back to Austin. On The Herd this week, the longtime FOX Sports host boldly predicted that the Texas signal caller will end up with the Cleveland Browns — and that a familiar face could follow him. Cowherd said the 'worst-kept secret in the South' is that the Browns plan to pair Manning with newly retired Alabama coach Nick Saban, banking on ownership ties with the Manning family and Saban's NFL itch to create a blockbuster duo in 2026. The Ringer's Todd McShay said that may not be the case, however. McShay threw cold water on Cowherd's theory and hinted at a very different — and perhaps much more realistic — landing spot for Manning. 📲 Follow The Sporting News on WhatsApp 'Not refuting this as a 'worst-kept secret,'' McShay wrote on X. 'But it's not the only situation to monitor… There's another team with two first-round picks in '26 whose GM's son is a close friend to Arch at Texas. And the HC has a pretty good history with QBs. Just sayin…' That team? The Los Angeles Rams. McShay's post refers to Rams general manager Les Snead and his son, Tate Harver, a long snapper at Texas and reported friend of Manning. The Rams will also have two first-round picks in the 2026 NFL Draft after trading their 2025 No. 26 pick to the Atlanta Falcons. If Manning enters that draft, L.A. could be perfectly positioned to make a move. There's also a strong coaching connection. Rams head coach Sean McVay and Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian are said to be close — another dot potentially linking Manning to Los Angeles. It helps that the Rams are expected to be in the market for a quarterback soon. With 37-year-old Matthew Stafford possibly retiring at season's end, McShay's post may be signaling more than just speculation. Cowherd's idea of a Saban-Manning NFL pairing might generate headlines, but McShay's insight suggests the next big college-to-pro leap could be happening under the radar — and in Hollywood.

Steelers' Jalen Ramsey makes NFL Top-100 list ahead of training camp
The Pittsburgh Steelers recognition tour keeps on rolling — as the Steel City's newest cornerback was just named to the NFL Top 100 List. On Wednesday, Steelers' three-time All-Pro CB Jalen Ramsey was ranked as the No. 66 player for the upcoming 2025 season — down 41 spots from his No. 21 ranking in 2024. Here is what NFL writer Christian Gonzalez had to say about Ramsey's selection: "Locking up opposing No. 1 wide receivers isn't the only thing Ramsey does well," Gonzalez wrote. "He locks in his eighth consecutive appearance on the Top 100 list. Ramsey appeared in every game in 2024 after missing nearly half of the 2023 season and continued his dominant ways in Year 9. In the offseason, he and the Dolphins mutually agreed to explore other options. Now, Ramsey will be wearing a new uniform in 2025 after Miami traded him to the Steelers in June." The Steelers acquired Ramsey, along with Pro Bowl TE Jonnu Smith, from the Miami Dolphins in exchange for a late-round pick swap and star FS Minkah Fitzpatrick. As the Steelers reported to training camp on Wednesday, HC Mike Tomlin couldn't help but praise Ramsey's versatility on defense — and it's expected he will play a part in replacing Fitzpatrick's presence at free safety.
