Jason Kelce tells brother Travis his drastic weight loss has become 'depressing'

Daily Mail15 hours ago
NFL legend Jason Kelce has admitted to younger brother and league superstar Travis Kelce that his drastic weight loss since hanging up his shoulder pads has become 'depressing'.
The elder Kelce brother retired from the NFL last March and has officially not played in an NFL game for close to 18 months.
In his time since leaving active NFL duty behind, Kelce has tried to drop 50 pounds, from the average weight of an offensive lineman of around 300 pounds down to 250.
The conundrum for the former Philadelphia Eagle with exists with Jason trying on his old college jersey, when he wore No 60 for Cincinnati.
'You're going to squeeze in this thing? This is what happens when… you lose a little weight, guys. You can start squeezing into things a lot easier,' Travis said on New Heights about the Bearcats' jersey.
'How do I look?' Jason replied.
'Dude, you got so thin that number 60 doesn't look good on you anymore,' Travis added.
'I know,' Jason continued before as Travis stated, 'That's how thin you got.'
'I look like a long snapper now,' Jason said. 'Do I go back to number 48, my linebacker numbers? Would that look better? That would even look more like a long snapper. 48's a long snapper number.'
'I think 40s are probably where you (are) right now,' Travis lauded, with Jason coming back with 'Where I would sit?'
'Yeah, somewhere in the 40s,' Travis concluded.
'So depressing,' Jason said.
Jason has made a post-playing career in broadcasting as an NFL analyst for ESPN. Travis will begin his next NFL season in a few weeks for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Diogo Jota's true colours shown in message over brother Andre Silva before death

Diogoa Jota and his brother Andre Siva have sadly died in a car accident, and it's now coming to light just how much respect the Liverpool star had for his talented footballer sibling Diogo Jota once claimed that his brother Andre, who also tragically died in the crash that claimed the Liverpool star's life, was his favourite player to watch. Jota passed away following a fatal car crash in northwest Spain. The forward, 28, died alongside his brother Andre Silva, who was also in the car. The accident occurred at around 12:40am near the city of Zamora, which is close to the Portuguese border. ‌ While the football world is in mourning, with many prominent names in the game paying tribute, the strong connection the brothers had with one another is now coming to light. ‌ Appearing on ESPN's Ball Knowledge in January of this year, Portuguese star Jota was asked what players did he enjoy watching, and why. Without missing a beat, Jota said: "My brother," before adding: "My brother plays in the second division in Portugal, [he is] by far the one I most enjoyed." The fact that Jota could've picked anyone in world football, after playing with and against some of football's biggest stars, yet sided with Andre out of his deep love and respect is now more poignant than ever. While Diogo's accolades with Liverpool, including their recent Premier League success, are well-documented, Andre's achievements are also notable. As an attacking midfielder, he was currently playing with Portuguese second-tier team FC Penafiel, joining them in 2023 following his time with Gondomar. Throughout his career, he also played for Boavista and FC Famalicao's under-23 side. ‌ Andre racked up 102 appearances and scored 17 goals, mostly playing up across the forward line. His contributions this season were key as he scored twice and provided five assists in 32 games, helping his team secure an 11th-place finish in the league. A statement released by Liverpool read: "Liverpool Football Club are devastated by the tragic passing of Diogo Jota. The club have been informed the 28-year-old has passed away following a road traffic accident in Spain along with his brother, Andre. ‌ "Liverpool FC will be making no further comment at this time and request the privacy of Diogo and Andre's family, friends, teammates and club staff is respected as they try to come to terms with an unimaginable loss. We will continue to provide them with our full support." Portuguese giants FC Porto has also released a statement. Jota and Andre were both on the books at the Portuguese giants for a brief point in their careers. Jota spent a season on loan at the club from Atletico Madrid in the 2016/17 season, while Andre was in the academy at Porto. The club took to X, posting: "FC Porto is in mourning. It is with shock and deep sorrow that we send our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva, who was also our athlete in the youth ranks. Rest in peace."

Love Island's Davide Sanclimenti enjoys romantic getaway with girlfriend Iris Au as she faces jail term over $2.6million tax row

Davide Sanclimenti and his girlfriend have enjoyed a romantic getaway to California 's sun-soaked Santa Catalina island amid her legal troubles over a $2.6million tax row. The Love Island star, 30, and Iris Au, 35, went public with their relationship in January after she agreed to plead guilty to a charge after failing to report financial gains she obtained via her ex boyfriend's cryptocurrency. It was revealed that Iris could face up to three years behind bars when she's sentenced, something Davide, who is 'staying by her side', says he's been aware of all along. And it seems the couple are trying to take their minds of Iris's legal woes, as they shared snaps from a romantic getaway in California. Davide, who appeared on season 8 of Love Island in 2022, and his new flame looked totally smitten while posing in their swimwear by the coast. Iris showed off her enviable curves in a skimpy blue bikini while cuddling up close to her boyfriend of six months. The self-proclaimed 'Italian Stallion' also shared pictures of him and his partner enjoying a trip on a helicopter together, with the loved-up couple posing for a selfie while strapped in for the ride. Iris too posed up a storm for a solo snap, looking sensational in a white and black two-piece in front of a scenic backdrop. It comes just a couple of months after Davide, who left the Love Island villa with Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, broke his silence about Iris's run-in with the law. Davide revealed that he 'stole' her from her ex-boyfriend cryptocurrency fraudster Iza, who has been dubbed 'The Godfather', while they were still together. It was during her time with Iza that Iris allegedly became involved in illegal activity. She agreed to plead guilty to a federal criminal tax charge earlier this year meaning she's likely to be thrown behind bars. A statement revealed that she had agreed to plead guilty to the tax charge and also agreed to pay a federal criminal tax charge for failing to report $2.6 million (£2,004,886) in crypto income. She illegally gained this profit from the criminal activities of her then boyfriend. Davide however is loyally sticking by her side, telling MailOnline in March: 'How The Italian Stallion stole the girl from the Godfather with the LAPD on a speed deal… this sounds like a Hollywood blockbuster,' he said. 'The truth is that I knew about her situation from the start which is why I was protecting her. 'Iris is an amazing person who has been through difficult situations that most people could never understand. 'There's so much of this extraordinary story that people don't know yet. I will be there by her side to supply her as she deserves all the support and understanding.' According to Au's plea agreement, from 2020 to 2024, her ex Iza committed a series of crimes, including fraudulently obtaining access to advertising accounts and lines of credit provided by Facebook Inc. and Meta Platforms Inc. and selling access to those accounts. Iza obtained millions of dollars of unreported income as a result of these schemes. Separately, Iza engaged active Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department (LASD) deputies to provide private security for him and caused the deputies, among other things, to obtain court-authorized search warrants and confidential law enforcement information targeting people with whom Iza had financial and personal disputes. At Iza's direction, Au created shell corporations and opened bank accounts in the names of those entities. She then used the illicit funds placed into those accounts to pay approximately $1 million to the deputies, mostly in cash, purchase or lease luxury real estate, cars, jewelry, and clothing, pay for recreational activity for Iza and herself valued at nearly $10 million, and acquire approximately $16 million in cryptocurrency for Iza. Au admitted in her plea agreement that she transferred more than $2.6 million from these various accounts to her personal bank accounts during the period 2020 through 2023, income that she willfully failed to report to the IRS on her federal tax returns. After pleading guilty, Iris Au will face up to three years in federal prison.
