Jason Kelce tells brother Travis his drastic weight loss has become 'depressing'
NFL legend Jason Kelce has admitted to younger brother and league superstar Travis Kelce that his drastic weight loss since hanging up his shoulder pads has become 'depressing'. The elder Kelce brother retired from the NFL last March and has officially not played in an NFL game for close to 18 months. In his time since leaving active NFL duty behind, Kelce has tried to drop 50 pounds, from the average weight of an offensive lineman of around 300 pounds down to 250. The conundrum for the former Philadelphia Eagle with exists with Jason trying on his old college jersey, when he wore No 60 for Cincinnati. 'You're going to squeeze in this thing? This is what happens when… you lose a little weight, guys. You can start squeezing into things a lot easier,' Travis said on New Heights about the Bearcats' jersey. 'How do I look?' Jason replied. 'Dude, you got so thin that number 60 doesn't look good on you anymore,' Travis added. 'I know,' Jason continued before as Travis stated, 'That's how thin you got.' 'I look like a long snapper now,' Jason said. 'Do I go back to number 48, my linebacker numbers? Would that look better? That would even look more like a long snapper. 48's a long snapper number.' 'I think 40s are probably where you (are) right now,' Travis lauded, with Jason coming back with 'Where I would sit?' 'Yeah, somewhere in the 40s,' Travis concluded. 'So depressing,' Jason said. Jason has made a post-playing career in broadcasting as an NFL analyst for ESPN. Travis will begin his next NFL season in a few weeks for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Travis Kelce sparks heated debate with candid admission about the 'hardest' part of hosting SNL
Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce has admitted he struggled during the SNL table read before he hosted in 2023, as he 'can't really read that well.' Kelce, who has been increasingly dipping his toes into the entertainment space in recent years, hosted the legendary comedy show a few weeks after the Chiefs defeated the Eagles in Super Bowl LVIII. And while he called the overall experience a 'fun roller coaster,' he struggled during the table read. 'The writers' rooms were fun because you're just getting pitched ideas. The table reading, for a guy that can't really read that well, it was kind of a f***ed situation,' he said on Bussin' with the Boys. 'I felt like I was just trying to get through the reading instead of actually acting it out and giving it a voice and giving it a character and things like that,' he continued. 'I was just focused on, "Don't f***ing skip this line."' However, the lighthearted Chiefs star, who hosts his own New Heights podcast with brother Jason, noted that he felt 'so much more comfortable' while doing 'the silly stuff' on the show. 'There was still a sense of like, "I need to be a professional here,"' he added. 'I want to take advantage of this, but I want to have fun doing it, but I don't want to look like a loser doing this. I want to make them respect my approach and how I'm like taking it serious. But it was just a fun rollercoaster, man.' Travis's admission went viral - but not for good reason at first. Many social media users mocked the NFL player for the revelation, with one even sarcastically calling it 'one of the bravest admissions you can make.' Some even brought Travis' popstar girlfriend Taylor Swift into the conversation, poking fun at her for choosing a partner that would struggle with reading. 'I know Taylor Swift is not my friend and parasocial relationships are unhealthy,' one X (formerly Twitter) user wrote. But I so badly need to text her right now and be like "girl be f**king serious."' One user even mockingly called their coupling 'an IQ gap relationship.' But Travis fans have since jumped in to defend him, referencing the fact that he's spoken about his difficult with school growing up. 'Honestly, sports gave me a lot of confidence,' Travis told PEOPLE in 2023. 'I wasn't the best student in terms of reading and doing math and everything.' He spoke about his academic struggles again when he was hosting Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?, admitting that there were times when he wouldn't know something when everyone else in the room would. 'I can't believe some of you people are making fun of him for not reading,' an X user wrote in Travis' defense. 'It's disgusting. Learning disabilities are real and not subject for being made fun of. He's so fucking real for being honest. Let's celebrate that.' Many users also cited dyslexia as the reason behind Travis' struggles with the SNL script, but the NFL player has never specifically said that he was diagnosed with any kind of learning disability. Some said that regardless of whether Travis had dyslexia or not, making fun of his confession was 'mean.' 'Weird AF to make fun of someone for a struggle completely out of their hands,' one user wrote. 'Doesn't matter if dyslexia or not.' Despite Travis' struggles with scripts, it's clear that he won't let his difficulties get in the way of taking part in entertainment projects off the field as the 35-year-old gets closer to retirement. He previously appeared in the show Grotesquerie. He also served as an executive producer of the film, My Dead Friend Zoe, an award-winning dark comedy. And, later this month, fans will be able to watch him in Adam Sandler's Happy Gilmore 2.

Jason Kelce reveals brutal bet that forced him to wear Speedos at Eagles charity event... and get a bikini wax
Jason Kelce has opened up on the bet that forced him to get a bikini wax and turn up to a Philadelphia Eagles charity event in a pair of Speedos last week. The Philadelphia legend went viral after attending the Eagles Autism Foundation gala in a skimpy outfit on June 25, which also included a rainbow-themed hat and a crop top as well as the tiny trunks. On the latest episode of their New Heights podcast, Jason told younger brother Travis that his Speedos moment was the result of a lost bet with friend and former teammate Beau Allen. The two ex-Eagles players went head to head in a three-month-long weight loss and muscle gain competition, he explained to Travis. 'The bet was you get two points for every percentage body fat lost, and you get one point for every pound of muscle gained,' Jason said. He then revealed that Allen lost a total of two percent body fat while gaining four pounds of muscle, whereas he lost three percent body fat and didn't gain any muscle, meaning he came off second best. 'And for those of you that remember, I didn't think that [wearing the Speedos] was enough,' he said about the added bikini wax element. 'Smart by me. So, we talked about maybe adding something else to it.' 'You did a WHAT?' Travis asked his brother in astonishment. 'Thank God I did because this thing would have looked so much worse if I wasn't waxed,' Jason admitted. 'I mean, it would have been even more gross.' At one stage Travis was also shown a photo of Jason at the salon, which left him in disbelief. 'Dude, this cannot see the light of day. This cannot see the light of day, dude,' he joked. Jason defended himself by blaming the unflattering picture on 'vulnerable positioning.'

Travis Kelce reveals the secret 'plan' behind Taylor Swift's surprise concert at NFL event
Travis Kelce has opened up on Taylor Swift 's surprise cameo at 'Tight End University ' which was kept secret from even the NFL superstar's brother, Jason. Nearly 80 NFL stars descended on Nashville for this year's edition of the event, which Kelce co-founded alongside George Kittle and Greg Olsen. Swift appeared on stage during one of the evening events - 'Tight Ends & Friends' - and performed her hit 'Shake it off' alongside Kane Brown. On the latest edition of New Heights, Travis explained that they had been cooking up a plan to 'have some fun' for some time. But his older brother Jason was among those who were shocked when footage emerged of the pop sensation on stage. 'Tay Tay showed up!' Travis said. 'We were in Nashville, she grew up in Nashville - she moved there when she was younger - and we had this planned for a while that we were going to have some fun with the tight ends. 'She went out there without practicing, it was pitch perfect and she just killed it.' Travis 🥹 — 🏈👑 | fan acct. (@TayvisHaze) July 2, 2025 He continued: 'I won't say when the idea came up but we were there at "Tight End & Friends" and we knew that there was a professional like Kane Brown, who could just figure it out. 'He's a pro, he's been on stage a million times, he's not shy at all by any means... Tay just went up to him and the band and was like: "Hey if you guys are down, I'll go up there, play a song and see if we can pop the roof off this place." And sure enough...' Travis revealed that before going out to perform, Swift was backstage writing sheets of music for the band. 'I don't know, I'm not a musician but she was making sure that the band and everybody (knew it). And then just went out there without practicing and it was pitch perfect and just killed it,' Travis continued. 'She's so good with everybody and making people feel comfortable. And absolutely rocked the stage yet again, it was awesome, man.' Jason added: 'She killed it, she shook it off for sure. She shook down the roof, that's for damn sure. It was a surprise everybody didn't see coming.
